Oh what a lovely dinner I had here !! Not only was our server, Freddie (or spelt Freddy) , super kind to us -- we were well taken care of at that!! Food was up to par & very fresh, we were served at a reasonable time too at that! This location is very clean / well put together, I can't believe they have low ratings... we had SUCH a lovely experience. Highly recommend !!

We stopped by here for dinner on a Sunday night, and Macaroni Grill was basically empty. I wanted to check if they were even open for dinner, but then I saw one table filled with 2 customers. I was surprised at how empty and quiet it was. Anyway, we got seated right away. Looking at the menu, I ordered Chicken Marsala. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our food. The chicken marsala was hard to eat, because the chicken was really tough. It was lacking the marsala flavor. I've had better at other Italian restaurants. When I requested bread, the male server mentioned "We are out of bread". I was surprised to hear this. If customers wanted to order bruschetta, they couldn't because there was no bread. Service here is extremely slow. It did take a bit to get our bill. Overall, I won't recommend Macaroni grill. Customers are better off dining elsewhere.

I visited Macaroni Grill after many years. This place has nice ambiance and welcoming vibe. Complimentary Rosemary bread was warm and delicious. We loved bruschetta too. White peach sangria is amazing ! Side Caesar salad and tomato soup was very salty. I will skip it next time. Fried calamari was good but for some reason it was not hot enough when it reached out table. May be matter of Sunday and slow service. It was Sunday eve so restaurant was less crowded. But seem even kitchen had less things. They missed few things. some of the vegetarian people wanted more veggies in build your own pasta. When we ordered server did not say anything but order came with no spinach etc. May be it's servers fault as they should have let people know about kitchen status. I ordered Shrimp pasta which was really buttery ,and so obviously everyone loved it , it was delicious !! I like this place , took away couple of stars because of above issues. However, I'll keep coming

The food was mid honestly I had the mama's Trio and the waiter was a bit rude when my sister was ordering another margarita and took forever getting the ice cream and tiramisu. The restaurant was really smoky very unpleasant.

I can't believe I'm giving a star. We had a very sad visit on New Year's Day. We came at 2p. I believe they opened at 11a but when we came it seemed like they just opened. There were a few tables with customers already and wait staff looked like they were missing people. We came in and had to wait for the employee to clean a table when clearly there were so many other open tables but I guess we have to sit a specific tables which seemed unnecessary. We were standing for a while, a long while. When we finally sat, I noticed it seemed like there was only one waiter taking all the orders. He carries a device to order the food. He mentioned a few specials and brought us waters. I felt a bit odd that he gave straws to all the kids and only me because he specifically said and for you. I didn't use it but my mom did. It was so cold it the restaurant and I noticed the door wide open and to ask for anything seemed like they would take forever so I just closed the door myself. After a while it became comfortable and warm after I closed the door. Food was ok, I asked for medium for my steak but it looked medium rare. The mashed potatoes were really watery. The soup was ok and it was unlimited and on my third bowl it was hot which was more delicious so the first two were served warm to me. We remember back in the days we could draw on the table and they did give the kids menu that has activities but nothing to draw or write with. Luckily, us moms had pens in our purse for them to use. I found it odd that the lobster bisque we had were exactly the same when my mom only ordered the soup and mine was an add on. So I definitely suggest getting an entree and add the $5 unlimited soup because the $10 soup alone was the exact same size as the add on but it wasn't unlimited. The waiter didn't even mention that the kids orders came with a drink and we had to point it out just to get it and the kids also get a dessert which when we said again took awhile to get to us. The waiter was already asking if we needed boxes but were not even done yet because the kids meal wasn't complete. The complimentary bread supposedly has butter that we had to ask for and a dip that is presented in the middle of the restaurant but they are the ones to bring it to you. We had to ask and ask. I'm just very disappointed that they didn't seem prepared for the new year. If staff called out I think 4 hours is enough time to find a replacement. When we left I only seen one more employee show up. I'm usually understanding especially during the pandemic it's understandable to wait a bit but I did a lot of waiting and asking and pointing out what a waiter should already know. Definitely won't be revisiting and I can't believe he said please come again sooner than later. I guess if you do plan to visit this location make sure you get what you order because if you don't ask they won't give it to you. I really tried to find something positive but I was met with a lot to be disappointed about.

The restaurant was close to the hotel. Looking around the area, it places the restaurant at an advantage as I noticed that there's a lot more Asian restaurants around in the vicinity. This location was large. Upon entry, you easily notice the restaurant lined with bottles of wine. The kitchen is off to the right so you get a whiff of the entrees, etc. being prepared at fast pace. It was pretty quiet for a Thursday evening. Our server made her way to our table with the house bread and oil & balsamic vinegar accompaniment. We ordered the Pasta Milano and the serving was huge. Pasta was cooked al dente and sauce coated well to the pasta. There was a good ratio of sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms in the dish. I very much appreciated the sauce to be very garlicky!

Romano's Macaroni Grill has been around for a long time at this location in Milpitas. They are located in a large plaza, so there is plenty of parking available. Inside dining only. Table Service available in the bar or dining area. The service is nice and friendly. Not sure if they still sing, because it's been a while since I dined in. I've gotten mostly takeout since the pandemic. Lasagne Bolognese: Bolognese sauce, italian sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, imported pomodorina (4/5). Portion size was good, but a bit pricey. Meaty and flavorful.

Had a chance to try Macaroni grill. This place is located in Milpitas and is a nice place for American food and different types of pastas. My hubby and I really enjoy the pasta life so of course we had to go with that. We ended up getting an appetizer combo which came with the Mac and cheese balls as well as the fried brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were delicious! For the pastas we tried: Pasta Milano (this was my favorite and absolutely really enjoyed every bite) and the Penne Rustica (this one was closer to Alfredo pasta but wasn't as much my favorite). They also packed us some of their fresh bread which also came with balsamic and olive oil. Overall the food was nice. We picked up a takeout order but the ambiance inside was also cute for a dinner with friends!

Spaghetti Meatballs Meat WITH ZERO FREAKING MEATBALLS.
    Ivy S.

Terrible food and received an incorrect order. Got the food as takeout and it's worse than if I were to pour jar sauce over boiled pasta. Sour, salty and my spaghetti & meatballs had zero meatball. Would never order again.

Fried Calamari- for only being a couple minutes away I wonder why the calamari was already almost cold when we ate it. It was pretty disappointing. Maybe they just had it in the box while they waited for the rest of our order. I don't know. Flavor was good. Pizza Primavera - It was good, I was okay with it. The pizza dough wasn't my favorite but it was fine. White Pasta - I honestly don't remember what the name was but it was an item my bf ordered. This was terrible. Like there was too much roux to make the bechamel. It tasted of flour. Not much salt, not much of other flavors. Not enough milk and cheese and butter. He took a bite and put it down. Overall, glad we tried it but we might not be coming back. With the economy now, it's disappointing when the food is terrible for how much we pay for.

The restaurant offers one indoor dining area and two outdoor seating areas--one in the front and one in the back--which gives guests plenty of seating options. The food was a bit saltier than our personal preference. The cream pasta substitution, despite the extra charge, wasn't anything particularly memorable compared to similar dishes we've had at other restaurants. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely the warm and welcoming customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel appreciated. We also appreciate that the restaurant closes for a few hours in the afternoon before reopening for dinner service. It's nice to see a business that gives its staff a break during the day. Parking can be a bit challenging due to the busy neighborhood. Be aware that street parking is paid, and most spots have a two-hour limit, so you'll need to keep an eye on the time. Overall, we'd come back to try more of the pasta dishes on the menu and hope to discover a new favorite.

We checked in at the front desk and were escorted to our table. Our server Manny took excellent care of us from beginning to end. He gave us excellent recommendations on things to try, which we really appreciated. We started off the evening with some cocktails. My husband tried the Kickin' Old Fashioned and I tried the Margarita Italiano, that was recommended by Manny. My husband enjoyed his drink and I loved the Margarita Italiano. It was so good! For our appetizer, Manny recommended his personal favorite, which was the Burrata Con Prosciutto. We decided to try it and I'm so glad we did. It was so delicious. He poured a bit of balsamic vinegar on top of the Burrata, and it really made the dish superb. The Prosciutto melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the Burrata, balsamic vinegar and arugula. We will definitely get that again in the future. For our main dishes, Manny recommended the Linguine Mare Chiaro. I decided to try that and my husband ordered the Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, from their house specials menu. Our dishes arrived fresh and hot. My Linguine Mare Chiaro had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a roasted cherry tomato and white wine sauce. It was delicious. The linguine was cooked perfectly and seafood portions were generous. My husband's dish, Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, was a pan seared halibut fillet with a lemon caper sauce served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our main dishes. My husband was happily surprised he got two pieces of halibut. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Manny took excellent care of us and gave us the best recommendations. We had a wonderful experience dining here and look forward to many more in the future. I hope we are lucky enough to have Manny again, as our server. Moments later, she added that she could possibly fit us in at 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of our party. I told her that I found her initial response unprofessional because she didn't take the time to explain the situation from the start. A more courteous response would have been to let me know that reservations were full but that there might be a possibility of accommodating us later in the evening. She apologized and said she would respond differently next time, which I appreciated. However, as a manager, first impressions and customer service matter. The way customers are spoken to--especially over the phone when they're simply trying to make a reservation--sets the tone for the entire dining experience. I flew from out of town for a private family event with 80+ people, and I thought the place was cute and humble at first glance. Hold on... Who was the random old man in the room? And why is he walking around our event with a creepy look in his eyes and disrespecting my family with his unsolicited comments? Thats the owner. There are other comments that talk about him. Be warned. Zahir does not have a grasp on people skills and the tone of his voice switches from soft old man to grumpy old man without warning. He sat at a desk during the event with a judging side eye while my family filled in for a crew he did not adequately coordinate with. Made no sense that my family became the workers at their own event, and the venue lacked communication on how this event should flow. I did not finish my food, but it got the job done. Satiated at best. I preferred the appetizers that my family brought. The space is very humble and intimate and has a nice outdoor area that offered a break when my family needed a breather. The place is an older building so ventilation did struggle. However, Zahir locked a side door and told the guests that he would kick them out if they were seen using that exit. Fun fact, that side door was originally the planned enter/exit for this event. Parking lot is small but theres street parking available. We were charged unexpected cork fees, including for a broken bottle we didn't use. The event manager constantly hovered around guests, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Verbal agreements didn't match written contracts, leading to undisclosed charges. While the staff was helpful, the rigid rules (heavily controlled AC, forcibly closed doors) and lack of transparency made it difficult for guests to relax and enjoy the celebration. Unless terms are crystal clear and match all documentation, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a special event so you don't have to micromanage your guests just to satisfy the owner. When the bride is stressed about the impromptu rules more than the guest management should be a strong indicator of the level of service you would get here. Edit: I've learned from other guests that we were also charged a "service" fee for the help staff to open soda cans for soda WE supplied. Air ventilation is also ridiculously poor to the point where most guests hung out outside in the parking lot because of how hot it was inside and we were refused when asked to open the side doors or windows. The seafood linguine was packed with fresh flavor and perfectly cooked pasta, while the pork chop was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. What made the night even better was the exceptional service. Our server, Jacob, was informative, attentive, and incredibly friendly. He even recommended a perfect Merlot to pair with the pork chop, which complemented the meal beautifully. We wrapped up the celebration with the tiramisu, which was outstanding--the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I found this charming little Italian spot and thought it'd be the ideal place to celebrate my…read morepartner's birthday. I made a reservation for a Thursday evening, and even though it's right in the heart of downtown, we were lucky and managed to find street parking in front of the restaurant with free EV charging! Right when we stepped in, the interior is decked out in a modern art deco style. Vibrant & fun colors while still maintained a sosphiscated touch. After a few recommendations from our server, we decided to try: Mushroom Arancini (10/10): These are amazing, as soon as they brought it out, we can both instantly smelled the truffle oil. The exterior were crispy & pipping hot, the inside has creamy mushroom. It was certain my favorite of the night! Rigatoni alla Vodka (8/10): A solid pasta! The sauce was great and balanced. There was a good amount of sauce that coated in the pasta. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente! This is a staple dish but I felt like it might lack an interesting flair. Stuffed Branzino (8/10): Another solid dish! The whole were already debone which made it so much easier and fussed free. The skin on top was insanely crispy, the meat were juicy and overall tasted very healthy and fresh! It was a nice paired to the heavy pasta dish! They also gave us 2 cute canolis as a free birthday dessert which were super good! Overall, this is a beautiful spot for a date night and I'm glad I took my partner here! I even got $20 off the bill just by downloading their app and creating an account. Definitely planning to come back!

My boyfriend took us here for a late birthday celebration and upon arriving, we immediately noticed…read morehow beautiful the inside was. The ambiance was perfect for date night. We started with the garlic bread for appetizers. It was well presented but I think it would've been well paired with some sort of dipping sauce because it was a little dry. My boyfriend ordered the thousand layer lasagna and really enjoyed it. I ordered the rigatoni and thought it was just okay. I didn't realize the dish didn't come with protein so it felt like the dish was missing something. The sauce itself was nice but for some reason, some of the pasta was undercooked and some of it was al dente. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate pudding and tiramisu. The presentation was so beautiful. Both my boyfriend and I loved the pudding most -- I would definitely order this again. The tiramisu wasn't bad but it would've been better if it had a stronger coffee taste and if it was a little more moist. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and definitely made our visit feel special. She paid attention to the small details like helping us label our boxes, which I've never had anyone do before. On a completely unrelated note, I was surprised to find the bathrooms are shared between both genders. While there are separate stalls, the sink area is shared, which I wasn't expecting for a nicer restaurant like this. But I would say overall the food was hit or miss but the service and experience overall was amazing:)
