I think a better rating for this place is 3.5. I got the buffalo chicken cheese steak and it was good but a little pricy and I felt like they used dark meat. The personal pan pizza we got had burnt crust. The inside of the store is a little drab and dingy. I have to try their pizza sometime and see if that is any better. Would have gotten four stars but $8.99 + tax = $10 for a sub, fries, and drink not terrible but not great. read more

I have been coming here for years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Starting with the Staff, they always are friendly, personable, and have a smile on their face. I usually order a cheese-steak, gyro, salad, or pizza.. not a big pasta fan regardless of where I go. The cheese steak is by far my favorite. the meat is tasteful and the bun is toasted, which I like. The pizza is great.. my favorite is the taco pizza..AMAZING!! I used to go here 1-2 times per week but my employer moved locations so I can only make it once a month or so.. You HAVE to give these guys a try! read more

Romano's is the kind of place that when you find it...you know you've found it! My boyfriend wanted fried mushrooms so I Googled it and found Romano's. Romano's is my go to place for pizza. I've been a customer for nearly a decade because the pizza and customer service are consistently amazing. Tonight I made an online order and through some miscommunication the order was put in twice. When I received my second order I explained what might have happened and the delivery person was friendly and understanding. I would have taken the second order if I had enough cash, but I didn't. I have been coming here for many years, I have tried the wings, pizza, subs, and salads. They put a perfect portion of the food and it is better than any average pizza place you see on TV. They have 4 refrigerators full of soda, iced tea, juice, and water. They have an ice cream container full of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. and they also have a soda machine. HERE'S WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND For those complaining about soggy pizza, and or sub-par sandwiches: 1. If you put in an order for delivery, especially for sandwiches (pizza included), it takes time to prepare and deliver the food, therefore it will collect some condensation in its box therefore the food will not be in pristine condition like you expect it to be, but it will arrive in good condition, still. 2. That being said, if you would like your food hot out of the oven, or condensation free, pick it up! It'll benefit you as well because it is also faster that way. I personally prefer picking up, or dining in as the staff is extremely friendly and the food is always great, freshly made. 3. This is a deli & pizzeria, do not expect a 5-star restaurant quality, although for the prices and quality it exceeds expectations. 4. I personally have never had any issues with this restaurant, they are always trying to improve and have done so. If you haven't been there recently I suggest trying it again! A committed customer for the past 2 years I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! 5. The staff is also very accommodating, if there is an issue with your order they will fix it immediately. Or if you have special instructions they will accommodate for that as well, as best they can. This place is a hidden gem. The delivery was 40 minutes (they had told us an hour, so ahead of schedule). The girl on the phone was sweet and attentive. She did a great job. Now for the food! IT WAS DELICIOUS. we had the California white and it was fresh and yummy. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. The salad we ordered was also on point. I've only eaten here once which was Thursday. I ordered the chef salad. I ordered all ham no turkey for the meat. The price was $10.49 with extra blue cheese dressing. The ham wasn't great. It was dry and didn't have much flavor. It was lunchmeat ham. I like ham cooked on the bone. I understand no restaurant does that around here which is one issue. The tomatoes were pretty terrible. The lettuce, hard boiled eggs etc were ok. I don't think I'll be ordering that again. I guarantee you i can make better food than this place. If this place was in a small town they would never make it. The people were nice. I may go back and try something else if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Recently moved to Sterling and couldn't be happier having Romano's right down the road. This place has the best service and food that I've had from a pizzeria/deli in a long time. The owner, Neil, is so friendly that it's like seeing family when you walk in, and his genuine interest in making each customer's experience great really shines through. I particularly enjoy the fact that whereas most pizzerias in VA turn down my request for a half white/half red sauce pie, Neil instantly agreed, and it turned out perfect--this guy is old school and knows his stuff. The subs are awesome too, and the ingredients are fresh and of great quality. Very lucky to have such a decent eatery close by. read more

The pizza is SOOO good! I've gotten pizza here 3 times, However.... every time I eat their pizza usually within a few hours my stomach has these horrible pains and I have to keep going to the bathroom. I had pizza from a bunch of other places and never once had these horrible pains and needing to rush to the bathroom every second. This place is great. They have great food. The servings are so large I usually share with a co-worker or friend and they split it for us into two separate baskets for each of us. This is the best place in Sterling for subs and sides. There pizza is pretty good. The portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. My father grew up in NY and is very picky when it comes to food and subs. He grew up in harlem eating Patsys his whole childhood. While i knew not recommend the pizza to him because he is so picky, he absolutely loved the veal sub that he got. This is a sub shop, not a fancy italian restaurant. Don't be lazy and go eat there or pickup the food. They have about 10 tables if you want to eat there. It is unfair to rate it based on a delivery experience. The food is never going to taste as good if you have it delivered. And of course the farther you live the worse it will be. They have 9 wing flavors,if that isn't enough for you go to Buffalo WIng Factory. I absolutely am addicted to their fries. They have regular and steak cut. A tip, they season them with old bay or something, so make sure to tell them if you don't want it. And if you pickup an order of fries there to take home make sure to take the aluminum foil out from the paper bag or you'll end up with steamed soggy fries. The owners are very friendly. read more

Romanos is a great hole in the wall place to grab a bite to eat. The food is made fresh and taste delicious. Any pizza combination imaginable and perfectly sauced hot wings to compliment the pie. The subs there are amazing. Especially the steak and cheese. The staff there are all very kind and friendly. The owner Nael is a great guy. I was introduced to Romano's 3 years ago when I took a job in sterling. and what a hidden gem. The food is fantastic and the owners are great. After a couple of trips one cold November day lasagna sounded good when I asked Neil (the owner) if it was a food service prepared fronze type he explained that they make it fresh everyday. I tried it and it was the best I have ever had the meat to cheese ratio is perfect! Off the hook as Guy Fieri likes to say.
