We got the deep dish pizza & it was very good. I'm always a bit leery of deep dish because I've had it where the dough was not fully baked, ugh!! This was not the problem this time. My wife is from Chicago and she craves this place - like me. I would suggest you call in to order and it takes 45 minutes to make the pizzas, on a slow day - which is pretty typical for deep dish anyway. We've tried Lou Malnati's and Giordano's and this place rivals both, if you're a deep dish fan. I read some of the other reviews that ordered Hawaiian style and beef sandwiches, which I would say stick with the traditional pizza pies. We've ordered twice from there and have not been disappointed. Although, I'm quietly okay with the negative reviews so I don't have to wait as long for my order. ;) read more

So incredibly good! Legit as can be, best pizza in FL

First of all we were surprised that this was a take out only place. Not sure if that was a miss on our part but it did catch us off guard. Having said that we ordered a variety of things to try off the menu. The mozzarella sticks were pretty basic but the kids liked them which was really all that mattered. The garlic bread was really just a sub / hoagie roll open faced with cheese and garlic. It was nice enough but nothing to write home about. We also tried a double dough pizza and a Chicago style pizza. The dough in both cases was just disappointing. There was little to no flavor in the crust and while double dough is supposed to give you a bigger lip to the pizza it was far smaller than your average NY style pizza. The Chicago was pretty good. The tomato sauce was fresh and had decent flavor but again with a tasteless crust and not enough cheese it really seemed lacking what I have enjoyed as true Chicago style pizza. As a family that enjoys its pizza this was a pretty disappointing place. read more

We tried the Chicago style pizza for the first time tonight. I had seen a number of negative reviews so I was a little concerned, but it turned out everything was very nice. My husband ordered and was told 40 minutes. He arrived there approximately 45 minutes after ordering and the pizza was ready to go. The pizza had plenty of toppings and was very tasty. Decent pizza! Ordered deep dish with sausage for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised by the pie. Crust was crispy, dough wasn't heavy, (chunky)sauce was decent. Only thing I would have liked is a little bit more cheese but it was an acceptable amount on the pie. I'll definitely come back! read more

The only day I had Rosati's was when I was sick so I ate it microwaved. So I don't know how good it tastes fresh. But I thought it couldn't get any better!! I grew up in Chicagoland and for years have missed quality deep dish pizza. A friend told me about Rosati's yesterday. So, i had to try it. I ordered the sausage, onion and pepper pizza. It was good. The crust was just as it is supposed to be. The sausage was very good. My only complaint, but not a minor one, is that the sauce lacked zest. It just wasn't robust enough. Well, well, well, look what we've got here. I love the fact that good, new, established chains are finally making their way over to the Valrico/Lithia area. I'd never heard of this place, but after some research found that they have a very respectable following. Based on that, decided to give it a try, and I too came away very impressed. Delicious pizza, although I cringe when they do the old children's cut into tiny squares. Be that as it may, it was very good. When you get a pizza with fresh, quality ingredients, you know why this place is so successful nation wide. Also tried the Italian Beef, mostly because this place was born in Chicago, and also to do a little comparison against Portillo's a few miles away. Okay, maybe not as good as Portillo's, but still very good. That being said, I will definitely be back as everything was spot on. Staff was also extremely friendly (tiny place, where the kitchen takes up 3/4 of the place, and I literally counted 12 "cooks" in the back), and the prices were reasonable. read more

We are from Chicago, so have some inkling of a what a good Chicago Style Pizza should taste like. We had both deep dish and stuffed. Both were excellent. We ordered online and then drove over to eat on the patio, just so we would have a a nice hot pizza. The pizza was there just at the time the online system said it would be The seating here is limited to outdoor seating and they could use more choices for drinks. This Rosati's pizza is very good. They have excellent chicken wings, Chicago style pizza, garlic bread, etc. They take a little too long to deliver it or provide it to you if you wait in their store for your food, but otherwise very good. Their sandwiches are also excellent. Their younger staff do not have great customer service skills and could do with some training...other than that, good place to go if you are craving a nice slice of pizza... read more

I've eaten Chicago deep dish since before Rosati's was established, at the home of Chicago deep dish, Pizzeria Uno/Pizzeria Due. I've eaten at a half dozen Rosati's, from both sides of the Rosati family, across the country, including back home in Chicago--that one for several years. This Rosati's is true to the tradition and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I drive 35 minutes to get my pizza and it's well worth it. If you've not had it, you are missing something wonderful. It's not thin crust, it's another dish entirely, although their thin crust is great also. read more

I'm from Chicago but been in Florida for 18 yrs. When I seen Rosati's coming to Valrico we got excited. My wife and I ate Rosati's pizza every week when we met 29 yrs ago. Well we ordered for delivery last night. Let's just say it's exactly like it was so many yrs ago. We eat pizza about every 10 days or so. Rosati's of Valrico has gained a our business from here on out. All you other pizza places in the area take notice. There is a new player in town and I believe all of you are gonna feel defeat in the future. Anyone out there that has never had a authentic Chicago pizza then this is the place to go. I ordered online for delivery. Website is very user friendly and even gave me 11% off 1st Web order. Their tracking of pizza is so cool. They use GPS so u can see exactly where your pizza is at. Delivery was fast considering I'm sure they are slammed from just opening. I called the manager after we ate our amazing pizza and gave her and her team kudos. Disaster!!!!! Stay Away.....the real opening night was tonight (Friday 2/24) and I cannot describe the chaos and inefficiency that I witnessed. At least 100 people who could not pick up their orders, most of which were pre-paid on line. I ordered via telephone at 4:50 and was number 140. Was told then it would be 1 hour for pick up..I arrive at 6:00 and there are customers with number 85 who have not been served. There was NO process to intake customers and there was NO management support at the front desk to help. By the way, this is pick up only...a bench that seats 4 and the outside curb that overlooks Publix's awaits those who made the mistake of choosing this circus and have to wait. My order was a small pizza and 12 wings...my wings were ready when I arrived (how long had then been under the heat lamp) but no pizza for 1 hour plus the additional 40 minutes I waited. No way they should have on-line ordering open until they can master the call in / walk up traffic....this was an exercise in brazen greed...While I walked out without paying my heart is going out to the 100's of customers who waited because they had been scammed into believing that they would receive their food before Saturday morning. My advice, if you crave Rosati's, pitch a tent, bring a book and only pay cash when they put the food in your hands. read more
