Having tried all the Gino's, Lou malnatti, and pizzeria uno joints in Chicago, I didn't feel anything outside of Chicago could compete. Wrong. We tried Rosati's for the first time right before they opened last weekend. We were walking by and thought we'd ask for a menu. To our surprise, they offered us a free pizza! Since I'm vegetarian and the hubby is not, we did half veggie, and half with sausage. It was SO good! I have to say that this pizza is different than any I've had in the area. The edges of the crust are crisp, which I absolutely loved. The flavor was great, ingredients fresh, and even had a little kick to it. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed. read more

So ill tell you that having spent the first 26 years of my life in Chicago I was relieved that I had an option for an authentically grid cut, flat, real Chicago pizza finally particularly since Giordano's closed in Brandon a couple of years ago. I buy about 3 or 4 times a month about $40 to $50 worth of Rosattis in Valrico ... I'm a regular. but my issue is the incredible inconssistency in the level of doneness. 50 % ok. 25% way undercooked, 25% way overcooked. I really don't get it! A real Rosatti's would no way have this type of variability. These are premium pizzas and they need to tighten up their consistency. read more

Is anyone else having an issue with Rosati's? You get put on hold multiple times for 10 mins or so each time. Then the customer service is horrendous. It's like yea we'll get to you when we can. We have had Rosati's three times now and I must say that we are never fully disappointed. We do understand that deep-dish style pizza take quite some time. But, our main issue is with the delivery service. We always watch the tracker to see where the driver is in relation to our house. Tonight, I ordered the food at approximately 4:53 with a promised delivery time of 5:55. I noticed on the tracker that the driver left the store around 5:35 and it stated that the food would be to us in 4-5 minutes for nearly 20 minutes. I have delivered pizza myself for another pizza company in the area before, and driving around to other deliveries means one thing....cold pizza! If we are going to be paying $60+ for pizza, and we live less than two miles away....it would be nice to have hot pizza. We really do love their food, and it is nice to have them in the area. However, I think that they can work on their delivery staff and refine the process....Our mushrooms were a bit soggy as well. Pizza was warm, but it could have been just a bit warmer. We will be ordering again for sure, but will only do carry out in the future. read more

The service was fine, but the Pizza was burnt, crunchy, and dry, and I ordered extra sauce! Was there pepperoni on my pizza? I ordered some, but I'm not sure as I couldn't taste any. Will update my original review here as 2nd experience was better than the first thus the added star. This time around we ordered a smaller thin crust and this turned out great. Perhaps this is the trick as the 18" - per my earlier review - was just soggy and undercooked. The larger double dough we ordered had just a mass amount of cheese that gathered in the middle. This wasn't the case when we ordered a smaller double dough the first time around so I'm beginning to think that's *exactly* the trick here....order smaller pizzas - 14" or smaller and you're good to go. Order anything larger at your own risk. The delivery again made it 10 mins before promised and we appreciated using the GPS feature to see where the driver was during the process. read more

Rosati's thin crust pizza was closer to my native Chicago Pie . . . However, the crust could be a little thicker and not so flaky. Additionally, while the cheese was ample, the sauce was not.I will go here again until I find another Chicago-style pizza and next time I will order the extra sauce. Follow-up review . . . I had the deep dish and have to admit it was much closer to "real" Chicago deep dish. The proportion of meat, cheese, and dough was mush better and I would buy it again. read more

I tried the pepperoni deep dish pizza (a necessity, from a Chicago-style pizzeria), garlic breadsticks, and sweet breadsticks. While they were all fine, the pizza was the real winner here and the only thing I'd order again! Pizza It was delicious. The sauce was the standout for me: not too sweet like most places make it, just nice and tangy with that characteristic tomato taste. The crust was suuuper thick in the traditional Chicago way, the cheese was aplenty, and the pepperonis added a nice saltiness to the equation. I was full after just 2 pieces, and I'm a 5 slices kind of girl regularly. Garlic Breadsticks Not anything exceptional; just your average pillows of fried dough covered in a greasy butter-olive oil blend. That's not to say they weren't good, though they were a little on the bland side even with the sauce they came with. Not really worth your money. Sweet Breadsticks Skip these. They're very bland, and definitely not worth their caloric price tag for being some fried dough in a lackluster sugary-oil blend. Use the money you would've spent on these on some extra toppings for the pizza! read more

I waited 45 minutes for a small pepperoni pizza. The gentleman next to me said he had been waiting nearly 2 hrs. His first pizza was burned. His replacement order was incorrect. My husband and I both love Chicago style deep dish pizza so when we heard about this place opening up so close to us we were so excited! We ordered a pizza for delivery on opening night and the wait time was reasonable. I love the fact that they have an online ordering system! The pizza was truly outstanding! I ordered twice from this place. First time - I ordered for delivery. I ordered two deep dish pizzas. One was the Hawaiian Luau Pizza and the other was a White Pizza. It didn't take them too long to deliver; however, the Hawaiian Luau was a mess. It seemed as though the delivery guy played football with the pizza before delivering it. The taste of it was decent but it was extremely hard to eat. The White Pizza was in good shape but it was a bit too garlicky. Giving it a second try, this time we decided to order for pick up (we didn't want the sloppy pizza we had gotten the time before.) We again ordered two pizzas, but this time thin crusts. When we called, the employee indicated the order would take approximately 45 minutes. We ordered a Chicken Delight Pizza and a Rosati's Monster. We arrived at the establishment a little after the 45 minutes. The pizzas were not ready. It was a Friday night and the place was packed, so we reasonably and willingly gave them an extra 15 minutes. Mind you at this point it had been more than an hour. When we complained, the employees indicated one pizza was ready but they had forgotten to make the other one. After an hour and a half we finally received our order. They comped us for one pizza, but nonetheless the service was unacceptable. The pizzas were of decent flavor, but they are not worth the bad service. Specially when they are charging a bit too much for them! read more

My family and I were excited to try Rosati's. We tried three times and were underwhelmed all three times. First try, we had their Italian Beef sandwiches and were used to Portillo's but Rosati's is closer to our home...no contest Rosati's didn't come close. Next tried their thin crust and double crust and were not happy with the cheese or sauce, as they were just ok. Tonight was the last straw, we orders a speciality pizza with all veggies on one half and all meat on the other. Unfortunately they messed the order up and people who did not eat meat had it on the entire pie. Oh my heavens! How did I not know about this place 5 years ago when I moved to Riverview? I have been looking for my go to pizza spot forever and have FINALLY found it! They have true Chicago style pizza. I am more of a fan of the thin crust these days so I got the thin crust sausage supreme add pepperoni and the sausage is real sausage not that sliced stuff most places use. It was coated with Wisconsin cheese on top and just had just the right amount of green peppers onions and mushrooms under the cheese too. It was seriously so delicious and cooked just right. I had to pick it up because I lived too far for delivery so I ate a lot of it on the way home and didnt get to take a picture:( I also got the fried breaded mushrooms....finally a place that has them! And they were perfect! Served with ranch...so delicious. Service at the counter was prompt and friendly. They should make this into a dine in restaurant too versus just take out and delivery. Finally Chicago style pizza in Florida. And it's amazing. Had pizza at another pizza place that claims it's Chicago style,doesn't even compare. Great deep dish with a great buttery crust with gobs of cheese. Also try a chief beef sandwich. Awesome! Don't forget dessert. Had a cannoli,I think the shells are homemade. Chrisp not soggy, Mimi chocolate chips in the filling,and crusted with pistachios nuts. And I am a connoisseur of tiramisu, you won't be disappointed, light and fluffy. I ordered food from this place today for the first time and I was disappointed with the food. I ordered Chicken Parm and I was not impressed. I am picky about my Italian and this just did not sit well with me. I am particular about the taste of the red sauce used, whether home made or not, this dish had more crushed tomatoes than an actual sauce. The chicken had no red sauce on it at all, and there was way to much pasta with the dish and very little sauce for the entire dish. I threw away about 60% of my food because there was a huge amount of pasta, very little to no sauce and the chicken was mediocre at best. Considering the competition for Italian food in this area, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

This is our favorite local pizza place. We always get carry out, so I have no opinion on the delivery service. It is very good Chicago-style pizza. Carry out orders take longer during peak times for dinner, but it is worth the wait compared to other local pizza options. At other places we have had a problem with takeout pizza being over cooked, having the wrong toppings, or having large areas with no topping. We've never been disappointed here. We ordered pizza last Friday and it took over two hours to be ready. Apparently they had half their online orders they got ready, no show on them. It's a new place and stuff happens. When we finally got it home, I took a bite and said "OH,MY GOD!", we are from the Chicago area and I hadn't had pizza that delicious in over 20 years.
