What started as a 2 is now a 5. I ordered from here for the first time. I was initially disappointed at the appearance because it didn't look like the traditional Chicago style pizza, except that the sauce was on top. The sauce was unbelievably flavorful, and so was the sausage and cheese. They definitely have those three items under control!!! I initially rated them a 2, because this was more of a stuffed pizza than traditional Chicago style. Within an hour of writing my initial review, the owner contacted me and explained that I had received their stuffed crust pizza, not their Chicago style pizza. She offered to make it right and we ended our call with some Chicago reminiscing. I will return to try their Chicago style and you should too! read more

Ordered for pick up tonight at 7:29pm tracked the order online and was told my 14" deep dish would be ready between 8:05pm & 8:15pm. When you order online you can track your order so closer to time I re checked the order and it said your order is ready for pick up. Arrived at Rosatis and there was a gentleman in front of me there to pick up his order and was told his order is just going in the oven and it would be 15 mins and he told them that he ordered an hour ago and he tracked it online and said it was ready for pick up. Next was my turn and exactly the same thing that my order was just going in the oven and would be 15 mins.even though I.ordered in advanced and was alerted that the pizza was ready for pick up. I ordered a 14" deep.dish with pepperoni,Italian beef, sausage, ricotta cheese and basil and told them there is no way this would be done in 15 mins and I was assured it would be. While waiting another customer came in and same thing ordered in advanced and told the order was ready for pick up but was told the same thing like myself and the other customer. So a total of 3 customers orderes were inaccurate. Pizza was ready in 15 mins like they said and when I got home and took a bite ice cold in the middle. This order was rushed and there was no explanation from the staff on why my order was messed up and truly acted like they didn't care. Haven't even been here but I am a Chicago native and am so happy to find a Rosatis only an hour away. I have been living with subpar pizza for years. Now I can get my pizza and beef fix at the same time!!! Thank you for finally bringing good pie to FL!! Some would think I am crazy to drive two hors round trip for pizza, but anybody from Chicago will understand. UPDATE: After making the long trek several times, I have learned how to get a hot pizza after my drive home. They offer a par cooked uncut pie to go, so you can finish it off in the oven once you get home!! Just make sure you cut it into squares or you'll ruin it. Lol. Great customer service. Growing up in Roselle Illinois I have had my fair share of Rosatis Pizza. I truly was looking forward to reliving a few childhood experiences when I noticed they opened in Valrico. In the past two weeks I've had Rosati's twice. The first was one of those Friday night cravings for deep dish. With only a few options in the area I saw Rosati's on the delivery app for the first time. I wasn't disappointed, although not the best that Chicago has in the way of deep dish, they certainly represented for a nostalgic trip in time. A great cheese to sauce ratio, generous with the toppings and the crust was pretty darn good. Ordered the pizza Sausage, pepperoni and onion. My biggest complaint would be the pepperoni lacked any flavor the sausage overwhelmed the meat ratio. Delivery time through Grub Hub was excellent. If I stopped and wrote my review now it would have scored a solid 4. My second Rosati's visit we decided we were going to embrace a little more Chicago in the meal. First my mistake was thinking this Rosati's was like home and had dine in. Definitely my bad! We went and and found out it's take out only. No point deduction just a change of plans. We decided to order a thin with the same toppings, large salad and Italian Beefs to share. Service at the counter is slightly impersonal just a matter of ordering and waiting. By no means rude but just there to get your order. After placing my order we headed to Publix for beer and soda to kill the 25 minutes wait. Typical order time no big deal. After getting back from Publix a half hour later unfortunately we waited another 20 minutes for our order. We started with the Italian Beefs upon opening them we noticed there was no gardinara peppers on them. Weird since they sell bottles of them to go you would think they would have some on the signature item they are for? I checked the bag to see if they put them on the side, a big no. The Italians are good but not Chicago good. Disappointed I wouldn't order the beef again. Next we shared the salad. It was adequate, healthy size, fresh and certainly respectable. Finally the thin crust, Hugh disappointment. First they seem to load the darn toppings on in the center. The amount of cheese and sausage targeted on the center effected the oil that saturated the crust. This didn't allow the crust to cook properly. So the end pieces were crisp with no toppings the center pieces were doughy oily that fell apart when trying to pick them up. Oh again with the pepperoni, no taste! Upon reflection will I go back? Yes, with the understanding I go there for the deep dish only and not order it with pepperoni. It's still nice to have them in the neighborhood. read more

Now THIS is authentic Chicago Pizza. Have been ordering from them since I learned about the place 4 years ago. No only complaint I have is the last two times we ordered from them they burned our pizza. So the last time we called to complain. The entire pizza was just burnt and not edible. They told us the next pizza we order will be free and will add a note in system. We offered to send them picture of the burnt pizza. Went to order our free pizza this weekend and they have nothing noted about giving us a free pizza. AND they refused to give us a free one to replace the $28 burned one. I really wanted to like this place, and the pizza has tremendous potential. However, for a multi unit operator, they have failed to execute operationally on numerous occasions. I have ordered several times and the wait is horrendous; the management team is either overwhelmed or indifferent to providing customer service. Pizzas that take an hour OVER the quoted 45 minutes before they are ready is simply unacceptable. Managements response on more than one occasion was to tell me "thank you for understanding." Well, you have taken my patience for granted and failed to do anything to make it right. What "I understand" is that I choose a pizza place based on the food and the expectation that it will be provided on time and have a consistent taste. For that, I pay the menu price. But when you break your end of the bargain, and still expect to be fully compensated- we are no longer aligned. As a patron, I do not ask for refunds. I will express any shortcomings to management and allow them to make it right, or correct me if I am wrong. When they choose to place no value on my satisfaction, I choose another place. Hopefully the franchisor will understand this place is not living up to their expectations, and make a change. Man, how can I order online an hour before I wanted to pick-up, then get a text that says my order is ready to pick --- only to rush in only have the kid at the register tell me that they had not even put my pizza the oven, and the pick-up notice was on a timer, and gets sent out automatically. Are you kidding me?!?!I guess that's what happens when you staff with young people that do not appear to be trained in customer service. No pizza is worth this much grief. Really. Plan for extra time if you order here. As I am still waiting, just about everyone coming in is being told "10-15 minutes more." I count eight people staffed in the kitchen, and two on the registers. Amazed they can stay in business... I have been waiting at the store now for 50 minutes, and the response I am getting is "just a while longer", "the oven is really backed up" and "if it doesn't come out I will just give you a refund." That's not the point. They are not updating anyone...it's just wait and see when happens? Rosati's Corporate...you need to check up on this place. Something is wrong here. Ordering and picking up a pizza should not be so ridiculous, and anger so many customers (I'm not the only one here!) I had to add that my pizza finally came out, after a really long wait. The order was right, pizza tasted great, and the store cancelled my payment to make up for the inconvenience. I was frustrated, but will be fair about the outcome. First time at Rosati's, and have to say I enjoyed the pizza. Although, next time I'd order "well done". Crust was a little doughy. I chose a 14" Thin Crust, with mushrooms and spinach. I really liked the sauce and the cheese, which complimented each other perfectly , for me. Could have been a little more generous with the mushrooms and spinach. That being said, I realize that tastes in pizza, are subjective, so it's what's pleasing to your palate. As for me, I would go to Rosati's again. The wonderful things you need to know is that their pizza is the real deal. It is authentic Chicago pizza. The thin crust is delicious. The deep dish is so flavorful. Ordered from Rosati's Pizza for lunch today I ordered 2 calzones with pepperoni and they sent this ... I called and said I think you made a mistake on my order there is no ricotta cheese they only put in some mozzarella and pepperoni. We talked and the guy said I can credit you for your next order. I asked him if he can make 2 more the right way and bring them over to the office ( 1 block away). He agreed. Then I get a call back from him telling me I'm wrong calzones don't come with ricotta cheese. I said to google it the definition includes ricotta cheese, he said this was a Chicago calzone. After going back and forth with him I tell him your seriously going to argue with me and call me to say I'm wrong about a calzone. Mind you I'm a New Yorker that grew up in an Italian household and have been eating calzones practically my whole life. I told the guy on the phone to forget about sending a new order out and also forget about any future orders from myself or my family and forget about any referrals either I will not be going back there. It really was more about him calling back to argue with me than to just fix it and send it over. I've given them so much business and now they've lost me forever as a customer. So, all I have heard was how great Rosati's pizza is from co workers. So Friday night with no dinner plans decided what heck let's give it a try. Couldn't be more disappointed. Ordered 14 in Rosati monster, 16 in 4 meat, wings, and antipasto salad. Wings were ok. Monster didn't have all the toppings advertised. When I questioned girl told me veggies were under the cheese. When got home all I could find was a mushroom here and there. 4 meat double dough crust was severely under cooked and doughy. Cheese and toppings just slid right off. Salad barely had any meat. Yesterday was our second time ordering Rosati's. Both times they have delivered within their quoted time frame. The first time we ordered the Chicago style pizza, a double dough hand tossed pizza, and cheese sticks. The Chicago style was okay, but nothing to rave about. The traditional hand tossed was really good, but not a fan of the Canadian bacon they serve. It was very thick. We also don't like the way they cut the pizza in squares. Unless you are planning to eat it with a fork (which my children are not), it's a mess. I liked the cheese sticks, but I was the only one who did out of four of us. Yesterday we ordered a calazone and the traditional hand tossed pizza. The calazone was okay and a lot of crust. The pizza, which was the one thing we liked the first time, was not very good. First of all we ordered it 1/2 & 1/2, but there was no way to tell which 1/2 had what (after digging in I honestly think it was more like 2/3 & 1/3). It was undercooked and soggy in the middle, which again - when you cut it in squares is just problematic. There are a lot of other pizza options in the area, so we will probably choose one of those moving forward. read more

I am from the Chicago area and love having a slice of home. I fully understand you have to wait for a quality deep dish pizza and the Rosati's delivers a good quality product that tastes great. Where the problem lies is on how the management team runs the show here. The first instance I was ordering for my employees to give them a taste of Chicago. Called the order in and set a time 2 hours in advance for two large stuffed pizzas. I arrive to the front counter and ask for pizzas that I paid for in advanced. They have no orders to my name, phone number, or credit card. I pull up my credit card info and show them they charged me on my phone. They want to make the pizzas for me and I tell them work starts in less then 1 hour and I have 6 guys thinking they are getting fed. A employee walks in from outside and says he made 2 pizzas 2 hours ago and no one picked them up. They find them in the warmer oven next to the register. Really after 20 minutes of standing there they are 2 feet from where they are standing. Ughhhh. Next time I ordered... yeah I gave them a second chance, I used the online ordering hoping to avoid confusion. Mistake... as they never received the order after waiting for an hour and a half to have it delivered. The website is just horrible. I could make a more streamlined website then that complete and udder mess. Canceled my order and I am just done. So head up the road to Portillo's and get your taste of Chicago. read more

Can't say I'm a tremendous fan of Chicago style deep dish, overall. Haven't had great experiences in the past, so I was rather skeptical when I found Rosati's nearby. I was born and raised up north (don't stone me, Floridians), so I have a little pizza snobbery happening (I'm mainly a New York style girl). I've been trying a few shops around my home since I moved in, and have been running into flavor walls left and right. My biggest pizza complaint down here is WHY DOES ALL THE CHEESE TASTE LIKE SALT LICKS??? *ahem* So, back to Rosati's. Put in an order for delivery last week, unboxed, and scoped out the pizza. Sure looked like Chicago style. Smelled good, too. Then I got a taste of it and holy jeez. The cheese alone is fantastic. Finally, y'all, CHEESE THAT TASTES CHEESY!!! The thickness of the pie is just right, the toppings just right, and the crust had just the right crispness to it. Delish. Ordered again today, only minor complaint was the pizza is a wee bit doughy in the middle, but when you have that much happening in one pie, I can forgive it. Not very impressed with our first visit. We were told our order would be ready in 1 hour. It took almost 2! Pizza is very under cooked. The crispy crust they brag about is simply non - existent. The thing I found most frustrating is all the free pizza, wings and other things they were giving away to people. I know that sounds odd but instead of giving us free food for waiting a ridiculous amount of time, here's an idea, cook the food we ordered! Okay enough complaining. we are from Chicago and Rosati's was our go to pizza place. was very excited to have one here when we moved to Florida. This franchise is a complete train wreck. we have ordered from here probably a dozen or so times. the positive is the pizza is good, it's the same Rosati's you'd expect in Chicago. the service here is poor. ridiculously poor. and it's getting worse over time. it used to be they'd screw up the order half of the time. now it is basically every order. 2 pizzas ago they left off toppings we ordered. my wife points this out and they tell her it's under the cheese. this wasn't correct. the last order we order a simple pepperoni pizza and get nothing but cheese - of course we got delivery that was basically a loss because we didn't have time to wait for another one, plus we were hungry. the staff is rude every time this sort of thing happens. This is a new pizza joint close to us and we were looking forward to trying it out. When we opened the pizza that excitement quickly turned into disappointment.
