Came based off yelp reviews and my craving for a breakfast bagel. Seemed like the place to be based off the line. Donut prices seemed a bit higher than others I've seen starting at $10 a dozen... With that said I ordered the Bagel with ham and egg $4.59 (average) ... it went down hill when I saw them pull out the bagel from a bag... the kind you buy at a grocery store. It tastes okay and they put two donut holes in the bag which were quite tasty. I come here at least twice a week to get breakfast!! This place has a morning crowd and it's nice to see them all conversing with each other. While meeting at this establishment. Donuts are delicious, breakfast sandwiches are by far the best I've had, the workers are very nice and friendly. The best thing off all if you forget cash they have the card option you must buy 10$ minimum but it's hard not to pick up a few choices. Since they have so much to choose from. Found myself in SGV in need of some cronuts, and this place did the trick. The maple bacon cronut is utterly sick and disgusting - and I mean that in the good sense of those words. It's amazing! The other nuts, both the do and cro kind, are also crazy good. Sweet and moist, very flavorful. The bagel sandwiches are also not too shabby. So why not five stars? Well, I'm a coffee guy, and in the coffee desert of the 626, this is not an oasis, but a big, dry mouthful of sand. The coffee is gas station quality. Very weak without much flavor. It's definitely a solid, delicious, sandwich minus the frou frou, but will still leave you craving for more (in fact I am still thinking about it as I am writing the review...) I thought only had room for one of their cream puffs after...and behold, their cream puffs are the "soft shell" type filled with either custard or whipped cream, dusted with powdered sugar! Of course, I ended up inhaling 5 of them because soft shell cream puffs are so deliciously rare now! It's a must try if you've only had the more common, hard shell variety. Most definitely coming back for the rest of the sandwiches and maybe their doughnut and froyo. Well I'm sorry to report that they've taken out the Mortal Combat game machine. Now the only draw is the sandwiches. That's okay too, they're tasty. Omgah. I use to work around here and I got an inside on the sandwiches from my coworker so I decided to check them out. The tuna is amazing. Everything else looks good but I'm the sandwich is all I've tried and yeah, so good. It's toasted, it has tuna salad combined with light mayo, onion and salt& pepper. I am very picky when it comes to donut because most of the time i find the donuts are extremely sweet, dry and have a greasy after taste and I hate it. But donuts from this shop have all the quality i require, it's soft, chewy, balance in sweetness and on top it- no greasy after taste. It doesn't taste crazy good to the point that i have say OMG! Good solid donut place! I got an assortment for dozen and half donut for about 19 dollars. So worth it given how good the donut is here. It's a weekday night. 8 pm. I was on my way back home after a long day of classes. Obviously, I craved doughnuts, as one does after an exhausting day. This was going to be my first time there. I walked in with my backpack and was greeted by the kindest man and woman. They felt like my grandma and grandpa in another life. They asked me if I had just got out from school, and if I went to Temple City High School (I am a graduate student, but I'll take this compliment). We chatted briefly about my current school and my future plans. I walked out with six doughnuts which may or may not have all been eaten by myself. I had the glazed and blueberry doughnuts and Nutella cronut. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Please support this wonderful family owned doughnut shop. Excellent donuts and cronuts! Quick tips! 1. The parking lot is a bit small. There is a Little Caesars nearby. 2. They offer cronuts on the daily, but they do have a habit of selling out mostly on the weekends so get there early! 3. The first time I showed up at Rose, I wanted to order some cronuts, but they told me that they were busy and didn't have them because weekends they sell out fast. So instead, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a sandwich. The ham and cheese croissant was very, very good. The cheese and ham includes a very generous helping, while the croissant was very light and fluffy. The sandwich left a little something to be desired. I know a lot of people love their sandwiches and swear by them, but they just didn't do it for me. Everything from the meat, to the veggies, to the peppery taste in them, I just didn't think it was great. However, what was super, duper good are their donuts and cronuts. The second time I went, I finally found their cronuts. They had three types: glazed, cinnamon (kinda like a churro), and glazed with bacon. I only ordered the glazed and cinnamon. The cronuts are comprised of layers upon flaky layers of delicate pastry. Optionally, you can add custard to each of the cronuts to increase your chance of diabetes. Their custard, while light and fluffy, proved to pair well only with the cinnamon cronut. The glazed cronut on the other hand is best enjoyed without custard. Lastly, their donuts are something special. I don't know if its the freshness of the donuts or the dough or some secret magic in their oil, but their donuts are really, really fluffy. There is a real compliment to the frosting and sugar that they use to make it sweet enough, but not too sweet. Though I am not really a great donut lover, this place was something special in itself. We also got warm ham and cheese croissants, so good. This is a little mom and pop shop in a corner plaza. My hubby and i searched yelp for a breakfast place and this place popped up. We saw pictures of a donut breakfast sandwich that really caught his eyes. When we got there, the place was pretty busy for a small donut shop, but this place actually has an extensive menu of donuts, sandwiches and smoothies. We ordered the donut sandwich, tuna sandwich, cronut with custard filling and chocolate donut. Everything tasted amazing! I've never had such a good tuna sandwich until I ate theirs. I wish I took a picture of it before I gobbled it down . The cronut was a little too sweet for me, but the filling was yummy. Hubby really enjoyed his donut sandwich and chocolate donut.
