New rooftop bar at the Nickel hotel on King street. It was my second time there so I came by after work to check out the vibes and it didn't disappoint. The decor is charming and very chic, offers bar seats, some booths and sections indoor as well as some couches and outdoor tables. They have these fire-pit tables which was a nice touch with the cool nights. I sat at the bar this time and ordered a last word that was spot on. Snapper crudo was light and fresh, and the fried pastry was crispy, creamy and delicious. Their menu is small but had some good options across the board. The prices were expected as it is a nice rooftop cocktail bar in downtown Charleston. Overall it was a nice time and I find it suitable for all types of groups for good vibes. read more

Came here with a group of girlfriends and it was such a vibe!! The drinks were tasty, the view was amazing and they have indoor and outdoor options but the outdoor options were reserved, but you could stand and order at an outdoor bar there as well and admire the views! It was a little warm inside but the breeze outside felt nice to cool off! Will definitely be going back with friends who visit! read more

Rosemary Rose is undeniably gorgeous -- the design is feminine, airy, and picture-perfect with an unbeatable view of the Ravenel Bridge. That said, the experience doesn't totally match the setting. Service was slow and not overly friendly. Unfortunately, I felt the cocktails are pretty steep in price considering the portion size. It's hard not to feel like you're paying more for the vibe than what's actually in your glass. Hoping to come back at a later date once the kinks are worked out. read more

Brand new rooftop bar in Charleston at the top of the Nickel Hotel. We were traveling for a friend's birthday and asked another bar tender where we should go and she said to check out this place. I'm glad she did! The view is amazing and we went close to sunset. The drinks are a little pricey but worth it for the atmosphere. It is hard to get a seat, the wait was a long time but you can just grab a drink and stand wherever. It was pretty busy. Great stop for a drink, the food looked good too! read more

This newish spot is nicely decorated and set up with a great outdoor view of the bridge. I'm not sure who the hostess was when I initially arrived but she was not pleasant whatsoever and my friends who arrived prior agreed! The second hostess I saw upon leaving was kind and so was our waitress. I didn't get anything to drink as I don't drink alcohol and wasn't in the mood for the 2 mocktails they provided but my friends said they enjoyed theirs although pretty steep in price for what you get. The temperature inside was hot and humid for mid October night so great thing to have an outdoor area to step out to. Not sure I would come back anytime soon as more spots cater to those who are sober but it's a cute place to check out. read more

We were staying at The Nickel Hotel for the weekend and decided to check out the rooftop spot for some dinner at the bar. It was lively and busy but we got 2 seats at the bar. Service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed three items of the food menu - crudite, mushroom toast and chicken club sandwich. Portions were larger than I expected and all delicious. The chicken sandwich didn't have much chicken in it but it was delicious. I had a brownie sundae for dessert which did not disappoint. Would recommend! read more

Tony and I stopped by Rosemary Rose a couple of weeks ago to check out the new spot and grab a drink before dinner, and we had a great time. From the doormen to the servers, everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and really added to the experience. We initially sat by the fire inside while waiting for a table outside to open, and it was so cozy and beautiful. The interior decor definitely lives up to the Instagram hype (and I will be using it for house inspo). After our first drink, a spot opened up by one of the outdoor fire pits, so we moved out there. The views of downtown Charleston and the Ravenel Bridge at night were gorgeous, and the large group seating around the fireplace was actually great for encouraging conversation between different groups. The only real downside (and unfortunately a very Charleston-standard one at this point) was the drink prices. At ~$20 a cocktail, this probably isn't a place we'll be visiting regularly (at least until we learn to drink less) but I'm sure the tourists and reality stars will keep it busy for many years to come. read more

I'm giving two stars because this is a beautiful space with a wonderful view of the Ravenel Bridge. The inside was nice and cozy. Drinks were expensive as well, but that's part of the vibe there I guess. No problem with that. The hostess was strange, lets say, and it felt like we weren't wanted there. We were nicely dressed and just wanted to get a drink before dinner. She wouldn't tell us how long of a wait it would be and went into some long monologue about customer experience and that they didn't focus on time there. When I came to, my partner and I looked at each other totally befuddled because we had no idea what she was talking about. Okayyy? So we just walked up to the bar and waited for a very long time to get a drink, despite it being only moderately crowded. I think they need to improve their front of house experience or maybe that is the exclusive type of service they are going for. Either way, not for me. read more
