It was a decent experience for indoor dining. The soup bases could be better. We had three soup base and the spicy one happened to be the best out of the three. The other ones were tomato and Tom yum kong. We added more tomatoes from the conveyor belts and more hot oils to the Tom yum base. A lobster tails, a frozen scallop and came for each person. We mainly had beef and lamp for the meat. I happened to like the lamb more then beef. There were not many choice in terms of meat. I appreciate that the portions of items on the conveyor belt was small to avoid food wasting. There were plenty of selections I would say. Sui Mai was a delightful surprise. Round N Round wasn't my go-to BC (before COVID), but it has been since. They had outdoor dining a few weeks ago which was pleasant. Their sauces were in individual cups so you don't touch someone other customers have. Now they have indoor dining and it was a great and safe experience. I make it a policy to check out every new hot pot restaurant that opens up, so I knew I had to visit Round N round when it opened up. Funny story- this was probably my first time setting foot in Brisbane in the 6 years I've lived in the Bay Area. We wanted to come here for the conveyor belt, but it turns out that's just for the people seated in the middle. If you get there later on in the night, as we did, you get assigned a table that has waiter service as you would normally get at a hot pot restaurant. It's still all you can eat though with all the selections I expect out of a hot pot restaurant, so you'll have a good experience with waiter service. Can't speak for conveyor belt as we didn't get it this time. They didn't have the herbal broth that I typically get so I tried going for the creamy milk broth. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was definitely broth made of milk. That might sound delicious to some and less enticing to others. For me, I wasn't a huge fan. It seemed to curdle as it boiled too. My cousin go the spicy and his girlfriend got the cilantro and egg, both of which were pretty good. I've been going to Round N Round frequently ever since they'd opened, the conveyor belt and the open sauce bar was one of my favorite things pre-COVID. I was excited when they first opened back up with outdoor dining but this second reopening they decided to stick to indoor dining only. Why opt out for outdoor dining when you already built a nice setup?? I decided to give their takeout a chance and was super excited because it looked something similar to Boiling Point and I've been bummed ever since Boiling Point in San Mateo shut down. If you're going in expecting something like Tasty Pot or Boiling Point, you're going to be sorely disappointed, just as I was. First, their soups/spice levels are set, you don't get a chance to decide how spicy the soup is. Second, the taste was not there for me. I got the Spicy Beef Hot Pot and all I tasted was peppers and nothing else. Regarding portion size, the portions are very generous, I counted at least 7 clams in my soup and the amount of beef was plenty enough. Everything tasted pretty fresh although the clams were a bit gritty and the veggies were sort of bitter. While I don't think I'll be getting takeout from them again, I'd definitely be down to go back if they decide to open up their outdoor dining space! read more

I came here in February with my friend for our bdays. I had a lot of excitement but i was highly disappointed. The main disappointment was the lighting by the conveyor belt, it made it so had to see what we were grabbing to eat and it started to hurt the eyes after sitting there for so long. What i do like are their choices in soup options. They have the Malaysian Bak Kut Teh, which is like a pork bone soup. I liked how it had a good herbal flavor. I feel they have a lot of fishballs and veggie options, but not was much as Seapot. However, i do like how they have a good sauce bar. I wish they will stop making the lights flash so much by belt. read more

I went in expecting what others have mentioned: -Small selection -Slow service I agree with both of those mentioned, although I understand they're new and probably working out some kinks so I wasn't annoyed that it took a bit long for the food to come out. My main summary is: -took until about 45 min after sitting to finally see veggies come out!! -conveyor belt that day was going back and forth (I don't know why) -*** important *** meat DOES take a long time to come out and was inconsistent as our first two rounds were amazing but the third was so dry and lean (esp for beef) Maybe I'll try again later on when they're more established but as of right now, there are def some better hot pot places out there. read more

Keeping in mind that our visit was during their soft opening, I may consider coming again after they've had some time to work out some kinks like: their failure to bus our table except when I pushed plates on the waiter when they came over (after waving our hands for minutes to get their attention); uneven food distribution between the three rotating lines (our line had only a few dishes of noodles, which our kiddos quickly devoured, the entire time we were there); their refusal to allow us to order things like noodles despite their uneven food distribution; and the long lag between ordering meat and meat being delivered to the table. We had reservations at 6:30 pm; and we saw service and the food selection get progressively worse. I think if we had come later, my rating may have been drastically lower. I am allergic to lobster, so the soft opening special plate for each adult (but not paying children over 3) with lobster tail, clams, and meat balls were a nice gesture, but not something I could enjoy. read more

Good times at Round N Round Pot. It was a lot less busy on Monday night. This time we were seated at the six-top closest to the sauce station. The conveyor belt is shorter, which means you don't get as much variety, which is kind of a bummer. It was a lot of fun to do this with friends. You're just constantly pulling stuff off the conveyor belt. It's really entertaining and it's kind of fun to egg each other on. They had pea sprouts and fish tofu today! It was delicious. I had the Malaysian broth, which is really a Chinese herbal broth and was my favorite broth so far. We finally figured out that the big white lump in the seafood special is oyster. I realized that the only thing I really like from the seafood platter is the scallop -- everything else I'd be fine without. My boyfriend loves the lobster though, so I gave mine to him. Really, all I want is beef, maybe some pork belly, fish tofu, fried tofu, and some pea sprouts and Napa cabbage. All my boyfriend wants are squid, octopus, lobster, and all the different kinds of mushrooms. So basically, we have no overlap. read more

It's kind of interesting because depending on where you sit, you might have to stalk the food you want to put in your pot, because it might get stolen by the people sitting close to you! You order your soup base and meat first and then you go after the food on the turn tables. There's a pretty decent selection, such as a variety of balls, imitation crab, dumplings, veggies, desserts, fruits, and noodles. TIP: If you don't see something you want to add into your pot, just ask one of the kind waitstaff. They might not have prepped it yet to put on the conveyor belt. They also have a sauce bar for you to do your thing. I liked that everything is in small portions (2 of each ingredient) so that you can get more if you are hungry and then also not waste food. A choice of six or so meats is available which is a weakness compared to other hot pot places, if that is your primary want. This is somewhat made up for as they provide each person a whole lobster tail. There are desserts available, which is also different and helps to satisfy the sweet craving after a warm meal. The selections include, fruits, jello, puff pastry, coffee jello, coconut/peanut dessert cheesecake, etc. The service staff is friendly, circulated frequently to pick up used dishes, refill the tea, water, and soup stock. My boyfriend and I came here for their lunch special ($16.99/person) The place itself is a little small so depending on what day and time you come, there might be a little bit of a wait. The tables are a little small too, the table we had was a 4 person table and there was only two of us and it still felt small lol. Anyways, on to the food.. You get to choose your own broth, i went with the Szechuan and my bf got the miso. I looooooved the Szechuan broth, it was really flavorful and a good amount of spice for me. They have a sauce bar that has everything you need. Peanut sauce, sesame, ponzu, chili sauce, garlic, cilantro, etc. I really like the peanut sauce here! I like to mix mine with chili sauce, garlic, cilantro and a little bit of ponzu. I know I'm weird! For the meats u have to order from the servers. The supreme beef is soooooo freakin good! The other meats were good too but the supreme beef is my fave. Everything else u can grab from the conveyor belt. They have some pretty good options on there. The egg noodle was yummy. All their broth are chicken based from what the server mentioned. We tried sezchuan, miso, and cilantro flavored broth. All broth were lacking in flavor. You have to seasone it for it to taste palatable. The sezchuan was spicy but still not very good. The only thing going for it was the many selections from the conveyor belt. They have many different vegetables, shrimps, clams, mussels, tripe, intestines, pork blood, tendons, and some dessert items. For the price they charge, I would hope that it was a better dining experience than what we encountered. Cons: The bench seating was horrible. It was uncomfortable and the bench seat would move back every time we sat down since no one was seated behind our seat. It was narrow and poorly designed. Skip the lamb slices. As prices rise for other AYCE this one is a decent deal. You get a half lobster tail, 3 handmade fish balls, oyster, and a scallop on a tray. The selection of beef, chicken,lamb and pork belly is adequate and service is fast for a refill. Very important. Also is the conveyor belt of food that has a bunch of goodies. By the dipping station is the fried food stand which you should visit too. The french fries are good surprisingly. Sum it up worth the price, go hungry do your best and leave happy. Came here on a Friday night for a big group dinner. We were seated at a large table on the side, so no conveyor belt for us. We were given paper menus to check items with and showed the server. (If you sit at at a table for up to six guests you can have conveyor belt access.) There is a self-serve sauce bar on the side of the restaurant. *Broth: Individual hotpot here, everyone picks their own flavor. They have lots of standard flavors here like Thai, Sichuan, Chinese herbal, tomato, chicken, etc, so there's something for everyone. *Meat: You pick one portion of meat per person per order and you can order as many times as you like. Meat portions are big! My only complaint is the lack of variety; there's 1 type of beef, two types of pork (regular pork and pork belly), and a few others like chicken. *Seafood: Everyone by default receives their own plate of lobster tail and a few fresh meatballs. These were delicious! The remainder of the menu includes shrimp, various shellfish, and a few other meatballs which you can have refilled as many times as you like. *Vegetables, Noodles: Standard selection here, not particularly exciting. *Dessert: Yes there is all you can eat dessert included here! The menu lists a few fruit selections, a Chinese porridge, cheesecake, coffee pudding, mango dessert. Portions of small but the desserts are good. There is automatic 18% gratuity on large parties which the server was nice enough to point out when she brought out the check. Overall I give this place 4 stars. The food is ample and of good quality, and the broths have a lot of variety and taste delicious. I do wish the food selection was more interesting (need more meat varieties), ambiance was better (decor is dated and reminds me of cheap old school Chinese American buffets, but they play trendy English language music for young people) and the service was better (they seemed short staffed despite being VERY friendly). I was surprised this place had no lineup on a Friday and they didn't even bother enforcing the 90min seating limit with us. First of all, I have never been to a hot pot restaurant with a conveyor belt before! I love the concept. It works with sushi and it certainly works with hot pot. It gives you a really good idea of how much food you're actually getting. At least for me... lol. Of course people will still grab too much food sometimes because it's just there, rotating all around! Quick rundown - you basically choose a soup base (I went with hot & spicy Szechuan), your meats (at least to start with - then you just order whatever meats you want), and they give you a seafood platter as well. It came with lobster, clams, oyster, and some fish/meat balls! They were all SUPER good, except for the oyster.... Lol it was a huge ass oyster and I just wasn't into it. Make sure to not overcook your lobster! It cooks pretty quickly so you wanna just dump that bad boy in real quick, let it cook for a bit, and then take it out. Delicious! Also make sure to keep track of your scallop because I lost mine for a while and it shrunk LOL but still very tasty. They also have a DIY sauce bar, full of all the hot pot sauces of your dreams. I like to get my sauces, and then load up on green onions, cilantro, and anything spicy. For anything else you want in your hot pot, you basically just grab a plate off the conveyor belt! They have all kinds of stuff, like veggies, fish balls, tofu, noodles, mushrooms, dumplings, etc etc. SO MANY OPTIONS! The only thing they don't have on the conveyor belts are the meats, you order with your server for that. The meats are super fresh btw, and cut perfectly thin so that they cook within seconds! I really liked my soup base, it was super flavorful and just a bit spicy. I would love it if it were spicier, but I guess you can add your own chili oil to it. Everything was SUPER delicious! Oh AND, they also have desserts and fruits on the conveyor belt! There are some interesting selections though... haha my favorite dessert item is the fried mantou (basically fried dough) with condensed milk. SUPER tasty and I think I had like 3 of them lol. It was about $30 per person, not including tax and tip. Seems about right. I'm very excited to go back there lol. It's located in a very random plaza, but once you get over the doubt in your mind ("Am I going to the right place? Is my navi messing with me?"), it's great.
