Upon walking in, the place was pretty empty which was a bad sign. After been here a few times, I noted that this place caters to team meetings and parties. There are plenty of room for customers plus they have some video games for the kids. Service and food are decent. Prices are pretty high for the quality of food that you get. Wed nights after 5PM often find me here, nice little salad bar, and a pizza buffet for $7 including a drink. Asking nicely may get a pizza done just the way you like it, my son goes for the BBQ chicken and pepperoni, I just like the option of "something else" from a standard please the whole family take out order. Being able to make a nice salad allows you to claim its good for you too. I give them 5 stars because of the friendly staff, tasty pizza of many varieties, and great value. read more

Worst pizza experience ever! I ordered my pizza online like i always do. My family and I were beyond hungry so we were excited to have our pizza come; we were even okay with waiting for the 50 minute delivery! When the pizza came in, it smelled delicious. However, when we opened the box the pizza had no form... It was as if the driver was drifting through the city on his way here. We had to pick it up with a spatula!!! Being a vegetarian and going to a buffet can be difficult because they never have veggie pizza. I always have to request and wait a while. This was my first time at Round Table Pizza buffet. The food was decent and the pizza wasn't half bad. For the price, I would rather go to Shakeys because they have more choices in pizza and a lot more choices in foods. Round table pizza is the best in the city. I drove from Lynwood, Ca. just to eat these delicious pizza and twisties bread. The customer service is awesome, positive family environment. Disappointing visit. Ordered a pizza for pick up, and when I arrived after waiting for an employee to appear was told that there was a problem and they forgot to make my pizza. This location had recently been renovated and it appears all the money was spent on remodeling which doesn't allow for proper staffing. There are numerous options for pizza in Orange. I love original crust, meat lovers pizza. They give you enough sauce to where it's not oozing off of your pizza, but where you can still taste it. One of the more pricey pizzas, but worth every penny. Their lunch deal for a personal pizza & drink is the best deal you can get there. read more

I writing this review to let everyone know what bad customer service is and why I will never return to this round table. I presented the manager with a coupon for a large single topping pizza for 14.99. The manager told me the coupon expired 10 days before I presented it. I explained the same store sells a large triple play for 15.99 to no avail. I've been going to this store for more than 20 years with my family and grand kids spending more on arcade games than food. It's Thursday night and the wife WAS going to make dinner but I get a text reading "are you sure you don't want pizza"? So she orders it and I pick it up on the way home from work. I'm really glad everyone seems to have gotten a great deal by getting the lunch deal but if you're picking it up without a coupon be prepared to get soaked. One large veggie pizza with 2 side salads...wait for it...$36 and change! Yes it was decent pizza and the salads were large enough one could have filled me up on it's own. But come on. Think about it, that's thirty six DOLLARS. I could have bought 7 large pepperoni pizzas from this little place on Harbor Blvd in Garden Grove (I won't mention the name because I'm really NOT plugging the place and no it's not the place with the little gladiator)! Lunch $6.99 buffet, dinner I think $7.99 (Wed night only for dinner) includes drink and salad bar. I feel deprived if I don't visit at least once a week. Best thing for me is the variety, ordering take out I never can get all the stuff I like because the pizza needs to suit the rest of the family. Here they will make any combo I've asked for, and I get to try combos other people think up too. Staff aways friendly, and now as soon as my son walks through the door they start making his favorite pizza (chicken, garlic sauce, and bacon). Usually 5 or 6 kinds of pizza on the buffet, and except for kinda late on a slow night I've never seen the lettuce run low. I really like Round Table pizza but I hate the service at this place. We have lived close to it for years so we've had plenty of experience with it. Today when I called for an order, the girl who answered the phone was laughing so much that she couldn't talk. When she finally could, she ran her scripted words together into one giant word. I asked her 3 times to repeat herself and once specifically asked her to space the words out. I knew she was greeting me but I had no clue what else. Finally I heard the word "delivery" at the end. I have tried at various times to order online. I do most of my shopping online but the Round Table procedure defeats me so I have to call in and deal with the live person. The workers have no idea what's on their own menu: they kept trying to charge extra when we ordered a Smokehouse chicken, not knowing there were 2 versions on their menu. I have had to point to the item on the printed menu and they still look confused. This has been consistent over time. When we pick up the pizza, we're interrupting their party. We're disturbing them when we try to pay. In truth, the delivery people tend to be very pleasant and personable (maybe because they're out of the store). The pizza is good and they're 5 minutes away, so we do go back. We should just spend the extra money for Zito's. read more

The pizza is delish, but i loved the chicken wings. You know you go to places and not on the wings have meat on them.. but not here, every wing in my order was thick with meat. I definitely will be back. We were there with our baseball team, they were good to our kids and the service was great. The buffet is a really good deal. Maybe get one more person to help out, it gets a little backed up. But that won't prevent us from going back. Clean environment. We will be back. read more

I can honestly say that this is still the best tasting pizza in any town in SoCal , especially the sauce and the amount of toppings they put on ,, great bang for the buck,, the twists are awesome but you have to ask them to under cook them a bit so they are nice and soft and totally irresistible with the ranch or pizza sauce ,, they have a new line of wings that are great too ( just tried them) asked for well done and they ruled,, I got the hot but you get what you like,,, I think they are remodeling the whole place with awesome games for the kids and a new separate bar area soon too,, my kid got tickets like chuck e cheese and left with a prize,, he loved it,, he's 3 1/2,, so it's a great place for the whole fam... This place used to be awesome. Alma...where did you go? Ever since you left, the pizza is WAY too saucy and the customer service is rough. When my husband tried to address the sudden excess in sauce (we eat here regularly) he was faced with major attitude and reluctance to acknowledge the problem...when I say too much sauce, I mean we couldn't see the cheese there was so much. We continued to return for a few more weeks, thinking maybe we just got a bum couple of pizza's, but nothing has changed. I have been coming to this roundtable for many many years I get great service great food the establishment is very clean Alma is my favorite server she's very helpful and professional she's the reason that I started eating the boneless wings she wasn't pushy she just advertise them very well and I was sold so thank you very much! I'm specifically writing a review about the lunch buffet at the Katella Ave location. To any reviewers that say that Round Table is pricey....well you're right. But you get what you pay for. Round Table has always been in my top list for chain pizza....when I want to pay for it, cause it IS on the pricey side. But that's where the lunch buffet comes in. All you can eat Round table pizza with a better than average salad bar (real bacon bits and a better than average blue cheese dressing) with a drink is around $8.50. THIS is the 5 star deal!! I don't know if they lose money on the buffet as they are getting harder to find at Round Table locations but in my opinion this is one of the best deals around for lunch....and WAY better pizza than Shakey's I might add. Sure there's no fried chicken or "mojo potatoes" here but if you want a salad and some good pizza at a very fair price this is it. All that being said, I'm really writing this review for Alex who works the lunch shift at this location and has been there for as long as I have been going there (off and on for the last several years). She pretty much runs everything up front during busy lunches as the manager seems to be in the back making the pizzas or running deliveries. She takes orders stocks up all the food and cleans up the place pretty much single handedly. I figured it's time she go a thanks. And on top of all that she'll make a special request (for me at least) when the next round of pizzas come out for the buffet. So if it's not too close to the end of the buffet and you ask them, I'm sure they will make something special (within reason) for you. Very nice service. And by the way go in and ask for the West Coast Combo. It's not on the menu anymore but it should be as I think it's one of the best pizzas RT has put out. They can still make it here upon request. So there you are. I can't speak to all the Round Table locations and I know they are pricey.....and I HATE when they don't allow for substitutions as some locations do and others don't. Like charging you to substitute bacon instead of sausage on a King Arthur's Supreme. Come on Round Table it's a meat for a meat. You already have a reputation for being expensive let's not be chincy while you're at it. This really prevents me from going in at any other time besides a lunch buffet. But as far as THIS location goes for lunch?....can't be beat. Just a personal advice about the restaurant set up. They have TV's on one side, which is nice but is also the side where they have all the kids games. I think they've turned down the volume on the kids machines a bit but there's on specifically that plays this annoying song repeatedly which is still audible and gets annoying the 15th time you've heard it while you're trying to watch sports center. And lastly, speaking of games. I really miss the pinball machine they had here. I know they're a pain in the ass to keep working properly but I'm just sad that pinball has almost totally died out, and when they had a machine here it really made me happy to see (and play) and that WOULD be another reason I would stop in from time to time. And it was a bonus that it was an older machine from the 90's as a lot of the newer ones just don't play the same. (I'm looking at you Stern) read more

I called this last Monday night to order some pizzas for my exhausted family. We have been dealing with a family emergency and just needed from quick food. I called at 8:05 PM and was put on hold. When my call was finally taken I was asked if I wanted delivery or pickup. I said delivery! The person on the line explained to me that I would need to come pick up the pizza if I wanted it. The delivery driver had just left and wouldn't be back for 30 minutes, meaning my order wouldn't get to me until around 9 o'clock. I said that was fine, I just didn't want to leave the house. The person on the line said that it is close to closing time and that it would be better if I picked it up. So I straight up asked if they would deliver the pizzas to me or not, I was prepared to spend $50 or so dollars on pizza, the reply was no, we will not be doing any deliveries and that if I wanted the pizza I would have to come get it. I promptly hung up, baffled and frustrated. Do not call if you want a pizza delivered after 8 o'clock, apparently they don't deliver after that. read more
