They are a new business. We went in there just passing by. When we entered they were so welcoming and nice. Everything was so clean. We ordered the kung pao shrimp, beef with Chinese broccoli and this delicious hot tea with flowers in it. Forgive me I can't remember the name.of the tea. The food was so delicious. My wife (Shanghainese) and I went here for a late lunch yesterday. We were both very impressed. It is a new restaurant which recently opened in central Plano. It's a family style restaurant where you share dishes. It has a pretty spacious interior. The service was quick and friendly. The menu is a combination of authentic Chinese food and American Chinese dishes. They also have a large selection of Dim sum options available, which are ordered from a paper menu. We are very happy to finally find a restaurant in the Plano area that offers good Dim sum. This place is really good. We ordered an assortment of Dim sum, Xiao long Bao, Peking Style Roast Duck, Rice Porridge (Congee) for my wife, and Beef Chow Fun for me. Everything tasted wonderful. The food was fresh and yummy, great quality and flavor, and large portion sizes. My wife really enjoyed the Jasmine Tea we ordered. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back.... read more

We had a wonderful meal. We ordered the Peking duck 3 ways. It was wonderful, the pancakes were so thin and amazing. The hoisin sauce is homemade and is really good. The broccoli chicken was really good, the chicken was tender & moist. Make sure if you want rice or noodles to order them. They do not have alcohol, so bring your own. We went here for lunch primarily because I wanted a really good, hearty soup after I had my wisdom teeth removed a day before and I hadn't eaten anything since. Renée was our server. She greeted us with a huge smile as soon as we walked in. We were seated right away. Restaurant is very clean. She brought a tablet to us to order our food. We ordered a large bowl of egg drop soup (came with a side of crackers) and orange shrimp (came with a side of white rice). I thoroughly enjoyed my soup. It is probably one of the best soups I have had. My wife tried it, too, and loved it. Orange shrimp was freshly cooked and had the right texture and flavor (yes, I took a few really tiny bites of it as I couldn't resist). Then we got talking to our very friendly server, Renée. We learned that their chicken is Zabiha HALAL. I was so excited to hear that. I advised Renée to advertise that for those who eat Zabiha Halal meats they can try their delicious food. Renée said that she would look into Zabiha Halal beef also. We are surely going back to this restaurant to try out their chicken items on the menu. I got takeout. My order was wrong, so I had to go back and get it corrected. The eggplant was 5/10. The eggrolls 5/10. The fried rice tasted old, so 3/10. The fortune cookies were so stale that I immediately spat them out. I won't be returning to this restaurant. read more

I came here, after getting a recommendation, but unfortunately, it was easily the worst Dim Sum experience I've had in DFW. It all started off wrong, when I sat down, and was asked to scan a QR code to order. I assumed they just meant to get a menu, which is something I loathe (don't push the cost of menu printing onto your customers having to use their own technology)... But no... It was worse. They actually expected you to create an account and place an order on a website, like you're doing a door dash order. Nope. Not doing it. That's not how a sit down restaurant works. They reluctantly gave me a paper menu, but took forever before some actually took my order, and it was a headache. Once I got my food, 3 of the 4 items I got, were terrible. The beef balls were flavorless, and still a little pink in the middle and didn't come with the sauce that other dim sum restaurants serve with it. My pork and shrimp shu mai didn't appear to have any shrimp in it. My leek and shrimp dumplings were bland, and again I question if there was any shrimp. My BBQ Pork fun rolls were ok on flavor, and I used the sauce on the other bland items to try to save them. And now the price. Most items were $8, and the fun rolls were $9! That's almost double the price of the other Dim Sum places in DFW! In summary , I wonder if their usual chef was out that day, since this place has otherwise good reviews... but between the poor ordering process, the significantly below average flavor, and the extreme pricing, I just cannot recommend this place, and I have no plans to give them another chance. read more

My wife and I ate here 9/4/24 after recommendations from family members. They were RIGHT ON! The food and service were EXCELLENT!! The hot & sour soup was flavorful and hot but not "chunked full of stuff" which is OK....the flavor was incredible. For entrees we had the Mongolian Beef and the Shredded Pork with Spinach. Both were flavorful and plentiful. The appetizer veggie eggrolls were just OK....they were crispy but a little on the doughy side. Everything else were Excellent! We will be back. read more

We had been looking for a restaurant that had similar services such as Red 8 at the Wynn and the steam pork buns and sesame seed balls are a match and the food is delicious! This is a long review; you the reader judge for yourself for this place. The food was ok but the duck was not skinned like other restaurants. I guess they could not bother with the skinning. Also, the whole duck was $78 plus $10 extra for the soup from the duck and $5 extra for another tray of sauce and green onions. So, our duck dish was $93 where it was at most $50 in 2019. I know prices have gone up everywhere but this is ridiculous. Also, the taste of the duck....not extraordinary but rather very ordinary for the ridiculously high price. And extra charge for the soup. Our second big dish was the crab with fried rice. The crab was ok but there was very little fried rice to go with it. And there were filler fried dough bits in the rice. They were gritty and totally ruined the fried rice experience.....why? Is rice that expensive that they have to add fillers? And that's not the worst part; the worst part is the service. Our main server is a mature lady who I think is the owner of the restaurant. Basically, her attitude is "hurry up and eat and get out". One particular incident that just got me so upset( on Xmas eve no less). We had a baby with us and the table was full. After we had all the dishes on the table, there was no room for the iPad that the restaurant provided for ordering, so I set it on the floor because no servers were around to take it. A short while later, the lady came by and said, in a stern tone, for me to pick it up for her. Now, I would pick it up for a server because 1) I put it there 2) I was seated so it would be easier for me than her.....however, her tone was one of demand and looking down on me. Hey, there were reasons why I put it there and she could have been more courteous since she is running the restaurant not me(and we ordered their most expensive dishes. The crab rice was also$78, btw). At the end of our meal, as we were leaving, she demanded that we produce the iPad because it is not on the table. I reminded her that I had to pick it up from the floor a while back and handed it to her....then she demurred and just turned and left. What a bad experience! Ordinary food, high prices, and really rude service by the owner. And in business, we say attitude of your whole team comes from the top. If the owner is this way, then you can imagine what the others on the staff will do. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in DFW with duck and crabs much better than this place and at a better price. I hope that the owner will change their ways or I don't think this place is going to survive 2025. read more

Royal Kitchen never disappoints! I have never eaten the same thing twice and am amazed at the quality of the food. I first attended for the Asian New Year and it is now my go-to Chinese restaurant. I plan on trying everything on the menu. The ambiance is relaxing. Great for families, groups or dining alone. There are great options for all, whether vegetarian or meat eater. Sorry no pics but I was so hungry and scarfed down the food as soon as it arrived. Even the teas are exceptional. Had the chrysanthemum tea tonight but love the hibiscus as well. We went there once and fell in love with the food my granddaughter goes to a place near there and was staying late so she bought some food I'd like to express how clean the place was and beautifully decorated very clean too! The staff are so nice and the owner is funny and sweet the service was great and very quick to get food. The fried rice was cooked well and fresh lots of chicken and egg, their soup dumplings were delicious perfectly steamed. I've visited twice, and had an excellent experience both times. The food was great, and the portion sizes were generous. I had the beef flat noodles and eggplant in garlic sauce, which were delicious. Our servers were very attentive. One of my friends asked in Chinese for a certain dish which wasn't even on the menu. No problem! They made it for him, and it was also delicious. The ambiance kinda reminded me of a multi colored jigsaw puzzle. I think a bamboo curtain at the doorway instead of the plastic strips would be very cool. read more
