Went to the Camp Yelp event and Royce had a sample. Sis tried it and demanded I get one for myself because it was smooth and luscious. Good call sis, because it was amazeballs. Snuck back to get another sample because it was good. Shhh!

We just love Royce chocolates-we came across them while in Japan last spring and were so happy to find their store in Bellevue Square! We're also very impressed that the chocolates that were sold to use (the refrigerated ones) were sold to us with an ice pack to ensure perfect delivery!! We cannot wait to share with our friends!

The chocolates here are amazing! I was able to sample the Nama Chocolates: Matcha, Bitter and Au lait, which was my favorite. These decadent treats are rich, smooth and creamy. I don't usually gravitate towards Matcha, but I enjoyed this one because of the melding of the white chocolate. After sampling, I perused the shop and decided to get a box of the Au lait Nama Chocolate, which comes with a tasting fork, Milk Pure Chocolate and was gifted a milk chocolate bar. The family was happy with this purchase! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Leni was there to help me decide which chocolates to choose from, which enhanced my shopping experience. She also educated me on the use of the tasting fork that can be used for eating the Nama Chocolate, cheese and using the spoon side for ice cream. I'm sure I'll think of other uses for it. I've purchased items from Royce before, but did not have the appreciation for the chocolates until this visit. These chocolates are meant to be savored.

Attentive and patient and polite staff. They package all items very beautifully for gifting. They even have complimentary small cards. I was happy to learn they have a rewards program. If you get five stars you can get a free $20 Nama chocolate (fresh milk). Free samples too! Only 1 flavor is chosen to sample a day.

So happy that now I can purchase ROYCE' Chocolate in WA too (used to buy in Vegas and then carried in ice gel pack home)! The interiors was clean and beautiful. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Will def come back again for the delicious Nama!

Came in to taste some chocolate and left with a whole lot more! The chocolate is incredible, it's hard to not want to take some home. Each had a unique, delectable flavor but I decided to take the matcha home! I was greeted and assisted by 3 staff members who were friendly and professional. It was very welcoming. I highly recommend this store and if you're looking for the perfect gift- this is it!

Came here for a Yelp Elite Event this year and it was once again amazing! Megan was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the chocolates. She had a sampling menu of three Nama chocolates: Matcha, Au Lait, and Bitter. All three were delicious. Nama chocolates are made in Hokkaido, Japan, which is known for its dairy. The texture is softer than a typical bar chocolate and the flavor builds as you eat the chocolate. Each of these have 1% or less liquor, which is burned off while they're made. They have other flavors as well, I ended up buying the whiskey Nama and the Au Lait Nama chocolates. They had a special sale, so I received a free chocolate bar with my purchase and also a free Royce fork. Thank you Royce and Yelp! I will be back.

Champagne and the other is the seattle exclusive with wrapping

The staff is very informative. Chocolate is really good. The champagne chocolate is my favorite and the one with seattle exclusive is also creamy and delicious.

Classy area where you check out.

Simply stated, these are some of the best chocolates I have ever had, and I have had chocolates from around the world. They are Japanese chocolates, and they actually make them in Japan. I actually despise going to the mall to the point I have not been there for more than four years, and I would indeed go to the mall just to buy these chocolates. While they are so high-end that they don't allow samples, I can guarantee that you will love them. Everything is so well done that they are very smooth and perfectly balanced An example is of the chocolates in the refrigerated case. They have a cocoa powder around them, and many of them have an alcohol in them. I actually do not like chocolates with a cocoa powder around them because they just end up too bitter and I really hate whiskey. But the dark chocolate one they have with whiskey in it is absolutely amazing. I don't know how they made the cocoa powder so perfect but it's delightful and the whiskey is so perfectly balanced, it is just right... It is super light and just perfectly done. And when you bite into it, it has this cool, buttery texture to it that is addicting. There is a chocolate that is in a dark blue package on the shelf, that is 68% chocolate and it is so smooth and velvety, I make myself take tiny little bites, so I can make it last as long as possible since it's such an amazing experience in my mouth. I find malls extremely chaotic, but the moment you step into the store, a sense of calm and Zen takes over because it's so simple and classy. The people that work there are extremely knowledgeable and treat you like you are someone important. They are super professional and know their chocolates extremely well. They are there to give you as much information as you want but also give you as much space as you want. And they are very friendly. A store like this could certainly act very snooty like many do that are high-end. But they are down to earth, and very humble, and very proud of the chocolates. Also, they even put their refrigerated chocolates in special packaging so that you can be out and about for 3 to 4 hours before having to put it in your refrigerator so they stay good. Who has that kind of service anymore? Gotta love it. I hope you do give it a try, because you will be very very happy. And yes, I will make a trip back and endure my hatred of malls just to get more of this chocolate. Enjoy!!

What's the pricing on one box of original chocolates?

It really depends on the flavor and type. Average price is $19.99 for a small box.

Very clean store and great nostalgic black and white theme for decades. Like that the staff wear uniforms too. Ya'ss. They always give free samples. I always like making my own 1/2 lb size boxes. Easier to pack and carry on plane. And they oblige me by stuffing them with whatever I want. It always ends up being over 1 lb! Heh! I'm a good customer and always take back special handpicked boxes to family and friends back in East coast since they don't have access to Sees store fronts. I was shocked by the clear difference in treatment based on race at this location. The staff were warm and friendly to the white customers ahead of me--offering free samples and complimentary ribbon wrapping. When it was my turn, their tone shifted completely. They were cold, dismissive, and visibly uninterested in helping me. My questions were met with rudeness, no samples were offered, and I was told I'd have to pay for ribbon wrapping. It felt like I was unwelcome simply because of my skin color. Unacceptable and disheartening in this day and age.

I loved how many fresh veg and garnishes were part of the dish (unusual for this dish in my experience). However, more mashed potatoes than stew. The chocolate dessert had 3 different textures and a lovely rich flavor. The dinner menu is very small. A couple of starters. Two salads but only one available. Four entrées but only 2 available. I wasnt a fan of the lemon tart. Too much crust and not enough lemon filling. The chairs are very uncomfortable and cold, especially with the cold breeze blowing through from the propped open front door.

Chef is gone and now the range of food and wine is drastically diminished. I'd advise on the quality of what remains but we literally got up and left due to the repugnant attitude of the waiter, who identified himself as the manager and was all too happy to see us leave after some unpleasantries were exchanged. I think this restaurant's days remaining in business can be measured in days or weeks, not months. It's sad because the owner obviously put some real creativity and money into the design of the wine bar side of the establishment, but as many restaurateurs have learned the hard way, the nature of the personnel can make or break a business, and this place has gone from one extreme to the other in that regard. I predict this particular manager will put the last nail in the coffin of L'Experience Paris with total certainty.

They are located in the Bravern across from HeyTea (don't forget to bring your parking ticket for validation at the cafe)! The cakes are beautifully displayed like artwork, but much smaller than I expected. Each cake is only 7" (for reference, a standard cake is 8" or 10") and the height of one layer. For $70 a cake (or $10 per slice), these cakes are priced like they're made from gold. My friend and I got a FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE ($9.99) and a SIGNATURE CAKE SET ($13.99) which includes one slice of cake plus latte of your choice; we got the MATCHA STRAWBERRY CAKE plus a ROSE LATTE. Note that the matcha strawberry and double chocolate fromage cakes are only available as whole cakes or sets and not slices (minus one star just for that). The FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE was rich, light, and tasted like fresh whipped cream (as the name suggests). It came with some dabs of strawberry syrup on the side, which my friend and I thought was definitely needed as the cake itself was relatively bland. At least it wasn't too sweet (I'd probably rate it as 25% sweetness). The MATCHA STRAWBERRY SLICE was better as it had very strong matcha concentration with a hint of strawberry. It also came with strawberry syrup, but unlike the Fromage, it wasn't necessary. With that said, this cake slice was half the size of the Fromage slice, measuring maybe 2x3 inches maximum or the length of half a finger. It was ridiculously small (like petit four size) for $13.99, even if it came with a latte. The ROSE LATTE was alright. You could taste the rose syrup and the coffee and milk were smooth, but nothing to write home about. The interior is meant to look like a fancy designer store with modern furnishings and lighting (which to be fair, it is located in the Bravern among the designer shops). They have about 8 tables indoors (honestly pretty tight together) or you can take your dessert to go. Service was decent and a waiter brought our food to the table within 10 minutes. TLDR: cake are overpriced for the small portions and their signature cake isn't that tasty. Maybe I'll come back and try the Mont Blanc with Hokkaido soft serve, but $13.99 for half a cup of ice cream is stretching it. Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for interior
