The food was excellent, the service was extremely slow(3hours), but the reason for my moderate review was the prices are out of line with the Hudson Valley. I eat out 3-4 nights a week, often in NYC and the wine menu prices are higher than 90% of what I see in Manhattan. The food prices are 30-40% higher than other local restaurants, it's good so I don't mind paying more, but not exponentially more. $50 for a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay is too much. I am okay with 3x retail, as most restaurants, but 5x is too much. I don't drink that brand, but I am also well aware of the market and if $8.95 is common retail than wholesale is 30-50% less. This is the wine menu across the board. That said, we enjoy a bottle of wine with friends and won't be coming back. Too bad, because the food is good. read more

Came here for our anniversary, my entree was someone else's while my wife's was correct, took about 15 minutes before I got mine again and it wasn't made as requested. There was no apologies or anything offered to make up for it. Service was really delayed even when it emptied out. While the atmosphere and our seating were nice, I expected a little better especially for what im paying. read more

Best Italian Restuarant! Family run and always consistently great food. This is not the chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs type place. Menu has items you will love but don't see at other Italian restaurants. Highly recommend the Bistecca and Tomahawk Veal chop. Better thank any steakhouse you have EVER been to. They sear it in a 1600 degree infrared salamander and the quality and taste of the meat is second to none. All their pastas are made fresh daily. Excellent wine cellar and for dessert, you have to try one of their soufflés. I always compare Rraci's to any other good Italian restaurant and I have yet to find one better. read more

On a last minute whim my favorite foodie and I went to Rraci this past Saturday night. The place was packed which is a great sign but unfortunately the romantic ambience of this restaurant was sadly overshadowed by the Sports bar level noise. This is not a place to dine and while savoring your dish or glass of wine you can be lulled by the romance or your dinner companion. It's LOUD! The food is very good but on the smaller portion size. Our waiter was attentive and very kind making recommendations but the hustle and bustle of the waiters, busboys and maitre D(s) moving tables and ushering the next diners really ruined an otherwise nice place. I would also suggest putting a partition of some sort to block the area where the incoming guest stand and the unfortunate couple (me) dine. It was most annoying. In the end I think Rraci is a nice place, has good food but will not be a place I can highly recommend until perhaps I give it another try. Apparently there is a nice patio area so perhaps we will try again in the summer. read more

If elegance and beautiful settings are what you are looking for, I found it. The indoor seating is a little dark, but the outside seating is well done. The Calamari was delicious although there wasn't enough dipping sauce for me. The Chicken Rollitini was fantastic, I ate the plate clean. The ravioli which is freshly made daily could use a little more cheese inside. I feel the sauce lacks flavor, It could be my own taste or lack of taste. After reading rave reviews and passing the restaurant fairly often we decided to try it out. It was decently busy which is awesome for them, always good to see other people there. I'll just get to the point. The food was pretty standard. Nothing to write home about. A little expensive for what you get. The service left much to be desired. Two people approached the table asking if we'd like a drink. Getting a menu took forever. I had a soda and wasn't asked if I'd like another. When we ordered dessert, we also ordered a coffee. Dessert got to the table minutes before the coffee- which was cold when we got it. The best part, I wasn't even finished my coffee when the person clearing the table took it away. I haven't been to Rraci's in a few years. Enjoyed a nice dinner with a colleague last night. Nice setting, close to Danbury. Everything was very nice - service was exceptional! Appts & Dinner were prepared nicely.....suggest to wine list be updated to include some nice Malbecs,,,,,,also, perhaps some gluten free dishes/pasta?? The food at this place is phenomenal! My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on our anniversary since our friends always raved about this place and boy they did not disappoint. The food was delicious but the ambiance was awful. I'm deaf and had to ask twice to have the lights turned up so that I could read the lips of the people at my table. Went there again on Easter Saturday night. Very disappointing. Astoundingly loud. The service for our party of 7 was poor. Swarmed at first and then somewhat forgotten. The appetizers were OK but lacked finesse. The more standard main courses were OK but my rack of lamb, ordered medium rare was delivered medium well, was a bit gristly and poorly carved. The Osso bucco was dry and had an odd aftertaste. When I commented, when asked if everything was alright, that the lamb was terrible and way too well done, there was no response whatsoever from the waiter. Asked automatically and ignored. My chocolate soufflé was dry, on the small side and served with a mere tablespoon of vanilla ice cream. The next day we had brunch at Le Fontane in Katonah. It was radically better in every way at roughly the same price point. We went to Rracis instead of the Arch on Saturday night. Never again. read more

This was my second time eating at Rracis and it wont be my last. I came here maybe a year ago with some friends who used to live nearby. Now that me and my husband moved to Duchess county, we all decided to come together on Saturday night. It was my husbands first time. We all really enjoyed the food. I had the duck breast which was absolutely delicious! My husband had the halibut special which was not only subantial but very tasty. Being a chef with more a sophisticated palette, it has been very difficult to find food that we are used to up here. We are used to new York city Italian dining. Thankfully, this is more our speed. Absolutely delicious well put together menu. After our awful experience at the Trattoria Locanda in Fishkill with the bland food and rude customers, this was truly a breath of fresh air. Perhaps the Locanda can take a note from Rracis. I am so pleased to have found our niche for Italian dining upstate. read more

After hearing about Rraci and reading some reviews, I thought I'd try it. I can honestly say, I don't get it. The decor was fine- a nice upscale Italian restaurant. The staff was odd. Many of the waiters were very young teenage boys, mostly standing around doing nothing. Odd that such an upscale restaurant would hire so many untrained servers. Makes you wonder how they treat their staff? The crowd was strange. Mostly 50ish year old tacky, loud, NYC Italian American transplants, living it large in the "country". You can't have it both ways. You can't be a classy, expensive restaurant, and have loud and very drunk, obnoxious people at the bar - that you can hear from across dining area. God help them, I hope they drove safe and got home alive. The dishes were over priced and just decent. On the menu the spaghetti carbonara claimed to have white truffles, but when I asked where they were, I was told it had truffle oil... big difference. Also, the dish was a bit dry. The food in general was overpriced for what they were offering. Not worth it. The staff and scene was creepy and not very welcoming. I have no desire to go back there again. If your going to charge those prices, you'd better bring your "A" game on. Just didn't have what it takes. Totally missed the essence of what the heart of an Italian kitchen is about. read more

This restaurant is absolutely delicious. My husband's family lives in Italy is and this is the best Italian food we have had in the US. Let's start with the family. It's family owned and they typically know everyone who walks in the door - as they have so many regulars. They make everyone feel at home and are truly lovely people. The service is impeccable and the food unbelievable. We have had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. I took my nephew here Sunday night, our first time and I was very impressed. The atmosphere and decor were very inviting, the staff was attentive and the food was outstanding. Parking was a breeze. We started off with the lobster cocktail which I highly recommend each piece easily pulls apart for your enjoyment, I had the shell steak which is seared on a hot plate and was cooked to perfection, the green beans had a mouth watering nice taste to them along with the side dish of mushrooms I asked for in addition. Our server Ennis was impeccable with his presentation and rolled off the specials and explained questions we had on the menu as well, I can't rave enough about this place but to say try it you won't be disappointed. Their dessert menu is prepared to perfection but I hope they can also include and add Tartufo to their dessert menu other than that I will be back and will start telling my friends to definitely try this fine dining place it's worth the cost for sure! read more

When you make a reservation for weekends(7pm-close))do not expect to be seated anywhere close to that time. Last few times we were there it was between 40-60 minutes past our reservation when we finally got seated. Why? Because they over book the tables and usher you into the small bar to spend money on drinks while you wait and wait. And don't ask about the wait. You will only get a defensive response back. We were told it would be made up to us for the wait but it wasn't and they did nothing. Also very slow to bring menus, water and drinks once you are finally seated. Service can be spotty at times even though they seem to have many people working all the time. The food is still good but got more expensive. You get about 10 little green beans and 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes for the sides. That's what comes with a $45 first cut veal chop(very good veal chop). Everything else was good except for some very strong and bad smelling steamed mussels that the waiter took away quickly. If you don't mind a long wait, higher prices, close tables, and a loud restaurant, come to Rracis. You will most likely enjoy your food very much. WHAT A TREAT. Incredible service. Super accommodating to one member of our party who is gluten free. The signature artichoke appetizer is an absolute must have; I can't even comprehend how they prepare it the way they do but it is spectacular. And the carpaccio salad was just perfect. The lamb rib and branzino specials were incredible too and the one thing I must absolutely recommend is to order the Chocolate Soufflé. You have to commit to this early so don't over do it with apps and the main! We had the pleasure of meeting Hayden the owner too and he was great. Wow, the bar scene is totally crazy. If on a Saturday night you've ever wondered "Where are all of the well-dressed families and middle-aged professionals of Brewster?", you have your answer. Tables are packed close together so my elbows were practically in my neighbor's mussels (which looked amazing btw). He really enjoyed his chicken, too. For an entrée, I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to absolute perfection. It was probably the best steak I've ever eaten in my life. For dessert I ordered the Italian Cheesecake which was also superb. My boyfriend tried the Duck and I never had Duck, but I tried it and it was tender and tasty. The worst service in the area. Spoke with the hostess and after all the problems (6 if you count the bill being wrong) all she could say is, "Sorry but we have one waiter in training". We had 4 different waiters, the "new" waiter came at the very end to bring our dessert and at one point we had to wait for over 30 minutes to get drinks. The food is good but nothing special. I won't be going back to this overrated restaurant. For those that enjoy this restaurant go ahead and keep paying higher prices when there are much better Italian places with much better service than this place.
