I've been coming to this Rubio's location for about a decade and a half now, and it's always been great. The food is ready in a reasonable amount of time and the prices are affordable. I went here recently for a Taco Tuesday dinner, and the crazy thing is they were even better in both aspects: tacos were discounted AND the food came out faster. The only thing consistent was inconsistency: fast service/slow service, sloppy condiment bar/clean condiment bar, sauce/no sauce, two lime slices/one lime slices/no lime slices/lemon slice, box1/box2/paper wrapped. I accepted those inconsistencies and compensated. Unfortunately, for the last three visits, I noticed some changes and none for the better. The fish is smaller and tastes old, the shredded cabbage includes the dregs of the cabbage (core, un-chew-able), and no limes. Came here to avail a birthday coupon voucher. Got the Shrimp Tacos with the Cabbage and Avocado and the Mango Avocado Bowl with Blackened Mahi Mahi. Shrimp tacos were really delicious. Good amount of shrimp and really soft tortillas as well. We asked for Refried Beans and Citrus Rice on the side instead of tortilla chips. That rice was absolutely beautiful! I could have had a whole bowl of that by itself, haha. Got the Mango Avocado Bowl with Cauliflower Rice (instead of the quinoa) and Blackened Mahi Mahi. That mango salsa was lovely and there was a good amount of lettuce in the bowl as well. Mahi was also very flavorful. Only complaint here is that the cauliflower rice was so so so little! I watched him with other customers, and he was just as pleasant and friendly with them as he was with us throughout our meal. He was constantly checking on us and making sure that we were happy. The food was excellent as always. I always order my tacos keto style, and Daniel was more than willing to accommodate. The ambience was just as any Rubios would be. This isn't the first time they've messed up our order, but this was just over the top. This isn't rocket science; how is it this hard for this place to follow basic instructions? I eat rubios typically once a week. Last week I was in a rush and wanted to preorder through the app, which is very convenient. (PS: for when it is lunch time, you should order through the actual RUBIOS app because they do not offer the "lunch special" deals when you order it from external food delivery apps). The RUBIOS app is very straight forward, organized and easy to use. The food never disappoints. There is constantly new additions to the menu every time I eat here which is a nice variety. The lunch special is worth it, and daily until 2pm. I find that the flavors really pop however the seafood portion of the meal sometimes seems fairly tiny in comparison to the pictures. I find that specifically this location does get fairly busy. On busier days, sometimes preordered food does lack a few minutes past the set time. This could just be due to the high demand of in person orders. read more

Let me start by saying I actually really like Rubios. I don't go out of my way to get it, but sometimes it gets catered to my work and it's pretty good and consistent every time. This week I went to this location in store because we were hungry and wanted something quick to eat in the area. My cousin ordered 2 tacos and chips, I got 3 tacos. For some reason even though she ordered first, her food came out 15 min after mine. She had to ask them what the delay was, but luckily they were nice and gave her a cookie for free. One of my tacos had shredded cheese on it and upon closer inspection there was GREEN MOLD on the cheese. The fuzzy kind. I took it to the counter where I was kind enough to not say it was mold out loud for others to hear (although in retrospect I should have), but said there was "something" in it. The worker kept looking and didn't see it, and questioned my judgement. He had the kitchen remake it but never did he apologize or say explicitly he was going to have them remake it. I only know they remade it because I heard him tell the cook to do so. When a different worker came to give me the new taco, he apologized so I appreciated that. Funny enough, my new taco had all the cheese at the bottom so there was no way for me to check if it was moldy. :) I had lost my appetite at this point. I should have asked for a refund but we just wanted to get out. This is really disappointing because we both like Rubios but the quality and service here was not up to par (aside from the 2 workers who did apologize to us). My daughter and I were there for lunch with my sister and niece on Friday and the monday today. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, clean environment, and outstanding service. The server Daniel answered all our questions and went above and beyond. We will be back. Great service and yummy food is what brings back customers. Highly recommended. So I ordered from this Rubio's again this evening. The food packing/packaging overall was much better. The side of black beans had a lid, the mix'n'match taco fish especial & mango Mahi were also packaged so all ingredients were encompassed in each taco without extravagantly extraneous ingredients encroaching on each other. The only disappointment was the "regular" side of chips & guacamole. The guacamole was fine. There were about 7 chips total in the chip bag, & that's generous. Overall a better effort, but shy of the mark. Hopeful that everything will be better next time, with the improvements I saw, felt, & tasted from last time to this time. Keep it up, y'all. Using coupons here is annoying. They need to see it from your email, you can't have it screenshot or pulled up from the internet.
