If you're looking for an overpriced chain restaurant with mediocre food and lackadasical service, this restaurant is for you. It has everything you'd expect from a two-star restaurant: sticky tablecloths. Dirty silverware. Waitresses who let an entire meal go by without ever bringing you a glass of water. Beer that takes five minutes to come, and when it gets to your table isn't cold at all. This place had less than a dozen patrons in it at 8:15 tonight, and yet it still took a good 15 minutes to get a decidedly "meh" quesadilla. The lettuce on the plate must have been intended only as decoration, because it was so brown and sad looking it must have been in the fridge all week. I always thought Ruby Tuesday's was just a TGI Friday / Outback / Applebee's knockoff, with ginormous portions of all three kinds of food (steak; burgers; and fried) priced at $15 and up. (You're not getting out of here for less than $20 - even a visit to their little salad bar is $10.99.) My son and I went to Ruby Tuesday because it was close to the hotel ,BOY WHAT A MISTAKE I ORDERED GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH THE LETTUCE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS WEEKS OLD MY SON HAD CHEESE STEAK SANDWICH. Went to Ruby Tuesday on 3/21/24 excited to get the Smashed Burger with Tots. I was seated at 12:45 and after waiting patiently for almost 15 minutes went to the bar in hopes of ordering my burger special from the email I received from Ruby Tuesday. After my 20 minute wait I left. There were other patrons who came and left too. It looked very chaotic there. A gentleman who was sat down like myself went to get the salad bar since there was no one to serve anyone. As always I start by saying I don't give five stars unless I am blown away. It's a common chain restaurant. Foods okay drinks are fine and wait staff is good. I come here frequently because it's a good place to come for lunch. I always get the salad bar and unsweetened ice tea. Salad bar is always good. Great selection of veggies, toppings, dressings and side salads. Love the parmigiana crisps. I have had the sliders and fries a while ago and they were nothing to brag about pretty middle of the road. That's why I give them three stars. read more

I really like Ruby Tuesdays, but it's more so for the salad bar than the menu selections. I love the salad bar and always choose it as one of my sides. Unfortunately the selections on the menu are not that great. I liked when they had add on items. Where you could order the salad bar and add on grilled shrimp, chicken, steak or salmon. That was a great option... since removing it, there's not alot that makes sense. I ordered steak a couple of times. But they were kinda basic and not cooked as I ordered. Went to the bar, no bartender in sight for a good amount of time. She finally showed. I had everything ready my drink order and my food. Got the Ruby relaxer which was good but She was so distracted on her phone making phone calls and texting the whole time. I ordered the ribeye with ribs. She got my sides wrong and my ribeye came out and was super over cooked. It was chewy and very unappetizing asked for a water and a mr pibb. But she was so busy on her phone that I never got them at all. My girlfriend got a sprite but the syrup was out and it tasted like soda water not a big deal but we asked her to change the sprite and she never did and forgot about it again because she was on her phone the whole time. Asking for honestly simple things that she didn't do correctly the first time was like pulling teeth and was just very unenjoyable. Still tipped her 25% but needed a recite for work purposes and of course the machine was out of paper tried to email it that didn't work either and didn't even bother asking the bartender because of course she was on her phone again. Well for being the only Ruby Tuesday's around it great to go. My wife and I just wanted salad for dinner and the kids wanted chicken tenders. Unfortunately when we got to the restaurant it took a bit to get seated. Then when we did we waited for our server for a while just to get beverages. The saving grace was a Gentleman server who saw that our original server hadn't stopped by the table yet. He took our beverage orders and our food order knowing we had plenty of time to look at our menus. I dunno if they were staffed properly but it was very busy. read more

I ordered the curbside option and included a tip for my curbside delivery person when prompted on the website. I parked in the curbside parking spot and called when I arrived as the sign in the parking spot said to do so, but the woman who answered said "We don't have curbside, Hon." Our server was seated at another table chatting with them and it took her 20 minutes to come over. Another ten to bring water. Then she disappeared again and it was at least another 15 to take our order. Mind you-the restaurant was empty. We never got cutlery. One star because the food was just okay. Went to Ruby Tuesday's while here in Syracuse, NY. The restaurant is directly across the street from our hotel room. I had the chicken wings with Bourbon sauce along with their salad bar. I filled up on the salad bar and took the chicken wings back to our hotel room to munch on later. I ate one of the wings and I thought the sauce was a bit sweet, so I asked the waitress for a mild sauce to mix with the bourbon sauce; that mixture proved to be a success when we ate the wings later. My wife got wings also, but with her mild sauce on the side. Because of the medication I'm on, I get full quickly, so I'm taking food home all the time now. We are in Syracuse for a week more, so it's likely we'll come back to Ruby Tuesday's since it's merely a hop skip and a jump away. read more

Ruby Tuesdays #5139 East Syracuse NY 6405 Yorktown Circle This was the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in years. They didnt have the appetizer we ordered so they came to tell us they ordered a different one for us, with out even asking. it took over 30 minutes to get our food. When our food finally arrives, my husband ordered a second drink, we finish all of our entire meal, now 20 minutes later they come out with his drink. Asked if we wanted dessert, it was raining outside so we figured we would order dessert and let the rain pass. Now 15 minutes later we still did not have out pieces of cheesecake. I finally waved the waiter over and said we need to go, we've been here over an hour and a half, cancel the dessert and bring us the bill. Now 5 minutes later I have to walk up to the bar and ask for my check! The waiter comes out and says the manager will not come out to talk to us and hands me the bill for the meal and the desserts still on the bill. I said I'm not paying for desserts i didn't get and was told the manager said i ordered them! I told them take them off the bill or I'm not paying for anything. The bar tender over road the desserts coming off, but the manager still would not come out to even say sorry you experience was not to your satisfaction.... Never again will I walk into a Ruby Tuesdays and I will tell this state to every person at the hotel we're staying at, to make sure none of them go there to eat. read more

Ruby Tuesday's is pretty standard American fare in the same vein as TGI Friday's, Applebee's, etc. This particular chain has a great lunch crowd (lots of working professionals, people in town for business) so that is nice, and the staff is always attentive and helpful. I recommend the petite sirloin with steamed broccoli - can't go wrong there. The salad bar is great, if you aren't someone scared by a salad bar - lots of choices of greens and toppings. My favorite part of Ruby Tuesday's is the white bean chicken chili - get a bowl or two of this and you'll be good to go. read more

This Ruby Tuesdays is located in a "Hotel Area"  Not to be overlooked. The atmosphere is very nice, And their salad bar is one of the best I have been to with freshness. They have great food with a great value.  I had ordered a Burger with bacon, which I hardly ever do when I'm out but it was cooked perfect med/well. The meat texture was just great and the taste was yum.  I am not an onion person but the purple hue sliced thinly had a great taste. read more

Okay, I get it, Ruby Tuesday's is a chain and giving any chain a 5 star rating should be almost a sin, but honestly, this rating has more to do with the service received than the food though the food was fine. Bit of back story, staying in Syracuse for the holidays and my parents want to grab a quick bite to eat near by, so we venture next door from our hotel to Ruby Tuesday. Knowing it's not going to be a gourmet meal or some fantastic fan fare, I was expecting just average, not bad, not good which was fine for the purpose. Upon arriving we were immediately greeted and given the normal choice of table or booth, we opted for a table due to ease of getting up for my parents. Chris was assigned as our server and that's where things went from average to amazing. Chris first introduced himself then asked each of us our names, shook our hands and welcomed us. He took our drink orders and off he went. The name part is what really took off too; every time he came back to either fill a drink, present food, and even the check, he addressed each of us by name. This is very common in higher end restaurants, but for a server at a generalized chain, almost unheard of. Of course we've all seen servers remember your order without writing it down, but to remember your order, your name and also the names of the other tables they are waiting on, that's pretty much unheard of. The meal and food was as expected, it was good, it was edible and served warm. My mother and myself ordered Double Decker Chicken which was two smaller breasts covered with mushrooms and bacon served with two sides, we opted for the salad bar as one of the sides and then a starch (mashed and baked potato respectively). My step-father ordered a classic Triple Prime Smokehouse and my husband ordered an Avocado Turkey Burger. We also ordered an Italian Five Cheese skillet, which wasn't quite what we expected, but it was a good start. All in all, Chris was the showstopper for the entire meal, he really should be commended for being so attentive and customer focused; he really made all the difference. read more

I ended up eating at this Ruby Tuesday twice while on a trip to Syracuse, as it was a convenient walk from the hotel we were staying at. I hadn't been to a Ruby Tuesday for as long as I can remember, even though I live about 5 minutes away from one. What I got both experiences here was good food, good service and a good atmosphere. I ended up having the same thing both nights - a salad - which I almost never order out at a restaurant. It just sounded wonderful on the menu and it did not let me down. The salad was HUGE and the plating of it was beautiful. Our servers both nights were very personable and attentive. The bill was definitely reasonable. I ordered today 11/19/20 for my Sister's Birth., and mine we were Born 6 yrs. apart, same day. There was 4 of us for a good meal. We ordered out and ate at home to be extra safe. We were in late from Kansas City. Walked up and the door was locked 1 hour and 30 minutes before closing time listed on their door. The hostess saw us and shook her head no. I walked back to our hotel & I called and asked if this was normal to close so soon before closing time. The lady said you have to pull hard on the door. We walk back and pulled. Where I live all of the Ruby Tuesday's have shut down so being in Syracuse and having one close to the hotel made us very excited. That excitement flatlined very quickly. Upon arrival no one was at the host stand, the ambiance was gloomy and finally someone yelled "door!" and that's when our server Mary came to the door and sat us in her section. We sat for a good 5 minutes (not a huge deal but we were starving after our trip there) until she finally appeared. She walked up to the table and didn't really say anything no hello or can I get you started with a drink.... nothing! It was so awkward until I finally ordered a water (which tasted like she went in the bathroom and scooped it out of the toilet) and ordered a simple soup and salad bar, my boyfriend got the Parmesan pasta and my dad also got soup and salad. After we ordered she said okay you can go ahead to the salad bar which was clean and stocked nicely. That was about the only thing that appeared clean as our silverware and cups looked filthy. When our soup and pasta finally came out, my cheddar broccoli soup had a huge mound of cheddar cheese on the top and was pretty bland and the vegetable soup my dad had was awful. The pasta was ok at best in my opinion. My boyfriend asked for a refill and I asked for a sprite because the water was unbearable. Minutes had passed by and Mary never came back to bring refills or check how the food was my dad had to finally stand up from our booth and look over behind the bar where she was standing talking to another employee and texting on her phone. My dad asked for a different soup and for our drinks. When she came back with it all she dropped one of the packets of crackers from the plate the soup was on, on the floor. Instead of picking it up and getting us new ones she simply stuck it right back on the plate. I didn't think it was a huge deal because it's in a wrapper but my boyfriend pointed out it's not the point of it being wrapped it's the fact that she put it back on the plate let alone the table at all which I wasn't thinking about. As we were eating she came over and said here's your check, gave my boyfriend a box and left the payment terminal on the table and simply walked away and we didn't see her for the rest of the time while we finished our meal, paid and left. I was craving dessert too and she didn't even offer that!! Easy to say we will not be back. Terrible service and food! Save your money!!! read more

Ruby Tuesday's has certainly revamped itself lately, with this location included. The salad bar is much improved from the last time I was here, happy hour specials at the bar are great ($5 apps!) and I was greeted/spoken to by 3 different employees as I sat at the bar. Definitely a great healthy option (especially for those traveling-it's so close to 90 and in the carrier circle hotels!). Will be coming back tomorrow :) read more

I've always wondered how this location has remained open. I stay in the Marriott next door often and have been to this Ruby Tuesday a few times over the years and it's been pretty empty. This Ruby acts like all others: good salad bar, good burgers and fair to good service. The best thing about this location is you always seem to be able to get in and out without waiting. Bad! I am not sure why I have given two stars. Maybe because the staff was friendly. We were on a road trip and thought that at least the food should be dependable at a chain. Then again R.T has never been a favorite place. Here I barely ate anything on my plate. The pimento sliders weren't great. The salad bar, where you usually can't go wrong wasn't good at all. Plus they have a kind of trompe l'oeil mirror which makes the selection seem bigger than it is. This was the first time I went to Ruby Tuesdays, and for some reason, it was in Syracuse. My clients took me here and I treated. They called it "overpriced bar/pub food" and yup, it kinda was. I ordered the appetizer spring roll and they ordered burgers. My food was more dough/roll than stuff inside, kinda skimping out on the filling, but the dipping sauce was pretty good. The burgers looked typical and good, but not sure if it deserved the $8-$10 prices. I probably wouldn't chose to go to Ruby Tuesdays again since there are better choices for a burger or pub food. read more
