Average quality food. Dirty mens restroom only an hour after opening on a slow Sunday, it's obvious it doesn't get cleaned well or at all.

I came to see The Stewartstown Railroad I volunteer for occasionally which is jour miles down the road. I've eaten at Ruby Tuesday's twice and liked the atmosphere and the food. The food was very good; my party ordered an appetizer and we enjoyed it. The place was very busy. While I give this a five star experience, I do have one suggestion. The restaurant was crowded and the service a bit slow, which I understand a bit. But I think maybe a little better training of servers would be good. The servers seemed very good, but a bit slow. Every time I try and eat here I think the service can't get any slower...well it does. Took some family for lunch today and 2 hours later we are done. ( so much for the other plans we had today). Food is fair but defiantly not worth the wait. ( I got soup and a baked potato) seems no one there has any gear but SLOW. read more

I met a friend here for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. The BBQ chicken flatbread was delish. Also had the salad bar and quesadillas. All were freshly prepared and quickly delivered. The highlight was the service though. Our server was attentive but gave us space to talk without hovering. The best part was the post-lunch cleanup. They use an old fashioned manual carpet sweeper since a vacuum would be noisy and disturb the guests. How can you not love that?? Good food, great service and a welcoming, clean environment. It's getting worse and worse. Our service is usually "ok" but each time we leave more unsatisfied. This last time the manager comped us a meal and offered free desert. A medium ribeye steak came out very well done. the fries all tasted like they sat under a heat lamp for hours, green beans were awesome but the broccoli was over steamed and mushy. Ordered curb side tonight and it was an awful experience... overpriced to start but I over looked that but I got there and ended up having to call in to let them know I was there and she told me to come in (what's the point of curbside if you still have to come in?) so I did and all my food wasn't ready and had to wait 20 more minutes... they wouldn't let you sit down either cause it was already sanitized ... the girl at the bar was rude and after I finally got my food it was cold... and the shrimp had this strange hard coating like it still had the shell on it but yet it didn't... I'm usually pretty understanding with restaurant service (I used to serve myself years ago) but this was awful .. it pisses me off too cause my husband and I used to love the Ruby's by queen street but they closed and this one is the closest to me and sadly this isn't the first bad experience at this location... We have been going to this Ruby Tuesday for years and usually enjoy our meal. That being said our service and meal tonight was horrible. The wait time was extremely long, which would have been overlooked if the food was good. My New Orleans seafood must have been sitting for quite sometime, so it was COLD, to say the least. The other plate was a little warmer, but after salad bar and waiting for an hour for food to arrive, he had lost his appetite. Barmaid/server, did not ask one time if dinner was okay, manager did not ask, even though they all knew we had been waiting because when it was brought out she apologized for how long it took. We had to eventually ask for a box for our leftovers, because no one else did. I don't usually complain, and didn't at the restaurant, but felt someone needed to know. Our family visited the Ruby Tuesday Far Hills Drive, New Freedom PA for lunch. Worst visit to any chain of restaurants ever!!! Everything that could have gone wrong with our family's order went wrong. The worst part was that the server seemed not to care that nothing was brought to the table right. The server seemed to day dream through our entire order and experience. From the over cooked burger, to the food dropped by the server on one member of our party, to the drink missing the alcohol, and the sugar free tea replaced with sweetened, I think I'm done with Ruby Tuesday. Yep, one experience neither my family or I will ever forget. Oh and by the way, my husband was really nice and still tipped the server 20%. Never again, no way!!! read more

Following is a letter I sent on 2/28/12 to Samuel Beall III, President of Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesday has long been my favorite chain restaurant. But my positive assessment of RT is all changing. Beginning about three months ago I started to notice a change in RT and it hasn't been good. First, I found that RT degraded the coupons sent in conjunction with "So Connected" membership. The former "Buy One Dinner, Get One Free, up to $15.00" was replaced by "Buy One Dinner, Get One Free, up to $10.00. Even the second-named option has not been sent as frequently as before. On December 8, I dined with a friend my local RT in New Freedom, PA. I ordered my favorite entrée, Tuscan Crab Tilapia. I have since learned, to my disappointment, that this item is no longer on the menu. The fish was not cooked properly and it had the texture of rubber. This is the first time in ten years I have ever had a problem with any food at RT. Following that, I began to hear from others that they had problems with slow service at New Freedom and with the food. People to whom I had recommended RT were telling me they did not like it. The steaks got smaller one said; another said the hamburger buns were not as good; still another that various items were disappearing from the menu, etc. The final straw was this past Sunday night, February 26. I ate at the New Freedom RT with a friend who ordered Lobster Primavera. I ordered only the Garden Bar. The Lobster Primavera had to be sent back as it was swimming in an orange oil that was very unappetizing with an equally unappealing taste. My friend thought that the dish had been microwaved as this would produce that strange orange oil in the bottom of the dish. The Manager on duty said he noticed this when he inspected it. He replaced the entrée and the second time it was much better. But my Garden Bar experience was even worse. For starters, I noticed that the salad plates being used were now much smaller than they had been - too small, in my opinion, for those who are eating only the Garden Bar. I also noticed that the romaine lettuce was empty and the tomatoes, which had always been grape/cherry tomatoes, were now thinly sliced tomatoes that looked to be way overripe. Overripe sliced tomatoes that have been picked over do not look very appetizing on the salad bar. I put some of them on anyway and continued. Then I noticed that the hardboiled egg and cheese containers were completely empty. That was it. I told the receptionist standing nearby that someone needed to replenish these items. I went to my table and returned about five minutes later. The cheese and hardboiled eggs had been tended to but nothing else. I then noticed that the croutons were empty. I said nothing and returned to my table and ate the salad. I decided that I wanted to return to the salad bar for a couple of other items - broccoli salad and pasta salad. Upon reaching the salad bar I found both of these items depleted. I simply put the plate down at the end of the salad bar and went back to my table. I noticed on this pass that the croutons were still empty. Not once in an hour had there been a crouton on the salad bar. Upon leaving the restaurant on Sunday, I noticed a table of six friends. I stopped and chatted for a bit and then went on my way. Yesterday, I saw one of the friends and asked him how their dinner was Sunday. Terrible, he said. Two steaks had to be sent back for being way undercooked. They were not happy. Also, as a general comment on Sunday's dinner, I wish servers would be as diligent about bringing biscuits to the table as they are about hawking the Shrimp Fondue! We had to ask twice for them before finally getting some. I can understand in the present economy that many businesses are having to trim costs and make other changes to stay in the black. But when this is done at the expense of quality and service I draw the line. I do not know if I just hit RT on a bad night this past Sunday but I tend to think not as several recent visits and the experiences of others hint at problems. The restaurant on February 26, by the way, was not crowded so there is no excuse there. As a parenthetical note, I would like to add that several years ago I made the acquaintance of one of the managers at the New Freedom location, Dennis Chamberlain, who is an excellent employee and outstanding with people. Dennis was moved some time ago to the South York, PA location but I understand is now back in New Freedom. He was not on duty Sunday night. I hope he was brought back to try to get this restaurant back on track because someone needs to. Until things settle down at RT, the menu stabilizes, and I hear from others that they have had a good experience there, my RT days are over. Don't go here often, but was hungry for a burger today. Service was good, and staff were personable/friendly. Food was hot but undercooked even though I specified well-done. Order was carryout so could not send it back. was here a few months ago and had to send back a steak 3 times before they got it right. I took my family for dinner my kids got there meals 20 minutes before me and my wife.I asked for refills on drinks and the waiter went by me 4 times without even a word before I had to tell him again.My steak was like shoe leather and removing dirty dishes was a problem.This was at 4pm and the place wasn't even 1/3 capacity with employees everywhere.You will enjoy dinner at the new Burger King much more Thanks Ben read more

I was interested to eat at Ruby Tuesday after they talked about their new expanded salad bar. I ordered coffee with my meal and was told they were out of cream. How is this possible with so many supermarkets and other restaurants in the area? The salad bar itself was the same as before; the containers were smaller. The containers for the most part did not have food in them. Those that did were not things I wanted to eat. For instance, of the many dressings they had, how many do you want at the same time. All I have to say about this place is that I used to go often until one evening when I ordered a chicken breast sandwhich that looked like the breast had been thrown on the grill for about 3 mins. The middle was bleeding red. At the time, I was still nursing my infant and so eating a rare piecr of chicken breast really didn't fly with me. Very disappointed in the Ruby Tuesday in New Freedom, Pa.. Ordered a steak to go and I gave them 30 mins when they said it would be done in 20. I did this to give them time to make it, in case they were busy. When I tried to walk in the "to go" door, on the side, it was locked. I then went into the "restaurant" to try and pick up. I came in to 4 to 5 employees standing around a baby, which was fine. But, I waited behind them for a minute for one of them to acknowledge me. One of them then said to go to the bar and someone would help me there. I went to the bar. I stood there for 5-7 minutes making eye-contact with several (5-6) employees. The bartender was even pouring a drink and talking to a server right in front of me with no acknowledgement. Not one person said, "Can I help you?" or "Do you need something?". I have had bad experiences here in the past, so I've had enough. Shame on you Ruby Tuesday, hire staff that actually cares, about their customers. read more

We decided to stop by to have dinner after shopping at homedepot next door. The kids were starving and advised that rolls would be coming out. We asked several times and the waitress advised the biscuit kid was running behind and he was getting yelled at already and she would bring them out. No big deal really. we never got them again no big deal. The waitress was very nice. We got our entrees and my wife's salmon was not cooked all the way and was actually raw in and squishy. We notified the waitress and she advised that we could take it home if we wanted to and put it in the microwave. My wife's stomach was taken off by the fact of raw fish and was not hungry. The waitress advised she told the manager on duty and would remove it off the bill. Figuring someone had a bad experience the manager would come over and apologize, but never came over to check on us or apologize. the waitress did, but not her job to do so. my wife did the survey and did receive a call from the regional manager who all they could say is why the fish was raw and told my wife she does understand you can't get sick from eating raw fish. yes we do know that and if we wanted raw fish we would have ate sushi that evening. He said that the manager did email him incase this would come up and that he was tied up. Sorry if you are a manager and someone was served something raw i don't care if he was tied up you get up and you walk over and appologize. it takes 2 min. The regional manager told my wife that if we would come back in and drop his name he would comp our next meal. Not that we are looking for anything, but who in their right mind would just go in and drop names saying, do you remember us from a few weeks ago? i have never seen nor will go back to an establishment that has such unprofessional managers ever. if i could give 0 stars i would.
