I arrived late into the airport and stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suited by Wyndham and walked over to Ruby Tuesday nearby. The area looked safe to me. I had the salad bar and added avocado and salmon. The salad was good (although some of the lettuce was browned and wilted). The salmon was delicious and a larger portion than I expected for the $5.00 price. I thought the avocado was supposed to be a full avocado for the $2.00 extra price. The cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes were are fresh and tasty. The service was courteous and quick. I will eat here again next time. read more

Ordered take-out and it took a very, very long time. I was told 20 minutes but ended up waiting for a little over an hour. I only ordered a tiramisu and a chicken sandwich! The manager walked in and out of the kitchen and was nice enough to acknowledge me by name and apologized for the wait. When the food finally came, she was kind enough to throw in four free cupcakes as compensation for the long wait. The order was still warm when I got back to my hotel room which is good I guess. Not sure why this place only has 2.5 stars. I really liked it. I ordered online, by the time I arrived, maybe a couple minutes after the time I said when I submitted the order, the food was ready to go, and it's not cold even after I paid and walked back to the Courtyard. The food portion was very generous, I couldn't imagine any other Ruby Tuesday would give me more. I ordered medium rare sirloin, it was appropriately done, and taste really good, it didn't have overwhelming sauce or spices to it, which was really good. I got sides of spaghetti squash and grilled zucchini, there was a lot of them and both of them were well done and delicious. For a restaurant that's in such a close proximity to many hotels and the airport, it's a good lunch/dinner option. read more

The four stars are solely for the food. I always love how the food tastes like a home cooked meal. I went there with my husband, at about 11pm, both starving to death after a comedy show. When we arrived there, no one was at the hostess desk, and we had to call out so someone could direct us to tables. The service was indeed SUPER SLOW, even though the place was dead, no more than 5 seated tables. We waited 30 mins for our food to come! But at least, when it got there, it was just dee-licious! I ordered the tilapia and mac and cheese, my husband ordered the mashed potatoes with chicken. Everything tasted finger licking-good. It's hard to give these folks less than 3 stars only because I'm wondering what I really should expect from a place in this fast food category. The hickory-smoked Bourbon chicken was low-calorie with spaghetti squash, and priced for a place that sits as the only restaurant near a major airport. It was burned pretty bad, but the wait to get it precluded me from sending it back. The salad bar was fresh, stocked and clean, despite its limited breadth. That was a nice bonus. The staff seems rather new and were pleasant and as efficient as can be given the fact they are understaffed. A better-quality nearby option would be a fresh sandwich and salad from the local WaWa. read more

I usually stay by the airport when I visit Philly and this RT is my favorite to go and enjoy decent, healthy food within per diem served by a fairly friendly wait staff. Salad bar is usually fresh and in high demand; someone takes pride in the broccoli/bacon/cheese sidebar dish and I appreciate it. I like the health conscious menu with calorie counts listed that helps me stay away from unwanted carbs! The ribs were especially good and was not disappointed by the spaghetti squash side. Highly, highly recommend the Mango Iced Tea that comes with the bits of sweet fruit in the drink and topped with a sprig of mint! read more

I got the blackened tilapia which was great, but when I requested tartar sauce, our waiter said they didn't have any. What restaurant that serves dish doesn't have tartar sauce. Ordered my usual for Ruby's- all vegs & salad bar, with an on tap Yuengling after I moved to the bar. I didn't even see a server for 10min while sitting at a hightop. The hightop area was super slippery too--chairs slide around on the tile floor. the Salad Bar was lacking a lot of veggie items I'm used to in Hawaii. I went to this restaurant because it was very convenient (in the parking lot of my hotel). I sat at the bar and had dinner. The bar area was dirty and the bartenders were making drinks after pushing the trash down with their hands in the trash can. I saw drinks returned because they had bugs in them while I was there. If this is what it looks like where a customer can see it, I can only imagine what the kitchen is allowing. I will go without food before I will return to this establishment. read more

I was very impressed with this Ruby Tuesday. By far the very best. We were greeted immediately by a host. The restaurant was very warm since it was super cold outside. There was no wait time but it did seem like a full house. They were cleaning tables off immediately. Our waiter was Charles (hope I have this right) and he was awesome! He constantly had our drinks filled and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. I had the salmon and it was delicious. No bones at all! The salad bar was always full and had a great variety. They were very convienant and made flavored sprite for us. I also tried the white sangria and it was amazing. Made just right! The restaurant was not too loud and it was very comfortable. The bathrooms were super clean and music was just right. I highly recommend this Ruby Tuesdays especially if you are staying in one of the local hotels like we were. read more

By far the worst service I have ever had....they bring the food out minus my husband's fries and the waitress says she will be back with the fries and she disappeared and we never saw her again. The service staff were courteous, but the food was below standards for a chain hotel - the fries were on the soggy side, the steak was tougher than usual. Was on business in Philly and came in late so went to the closest restaurant near the hotel. Ordered the grilled salmon with zucchini and broccoli. The salmon was prefectly cooked! Liked the combination between the spices and fish. The zucchini great but the broccoli very overcooked. Excellent dinner, I had the hickory salmon, my wife had the quesadilla, my children had a pasta dish and a children's menu item. I chose the salad bar and 1 side of green beans. My wife had 1 side and a the salad bar as well. Our server was Melanie, who provided great service. The restaurant was very busy, but we arrived just before the rush. There is a security guard who sits outside by the entrance, but that is no big deal. There were also people doing take out too. I ordered a petite sirloin online to-go. It wasn't cooked precisely to my specified "medium" temperature, but I do recall eating worse steaks. Overall I wasn't disappointed by my main feature. The broccoli and mashed potatoes sides, however, could be improved in taste simply by using less salt. The staff were friendly and helpful, but perhaps disorganized. Of the RT's that I've visited, the interior design and decor of this particular one may have been my favorite. I'll be back when I'm staying in the PHL area. I don't like to post negative reviews on Yelp, but I have to in this case. Right off the bat it takes about 5 minutes to seat us with the restaurant 3/4 empty. Next the waitress comes by to take our drink order and disappears. We place the order for our 2 grandchildren and then our order. After about 10 minutes she brings out the kids meals. We wait another 1/2 hour for our order of 2 cheeseburgers. And they're not coming out and neither is the waitress. We get the manager and tell her to bring free desserts for the kids because we are still waiting. She tells us the burgers are cooking and will be ready soon. She brings out ice cream for the kids, but guess what, no burgers. Another 10 minutes go by and the burgers do appear but with the wrong sides. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they comped the burgers. I read other reviews with the same complaint about slow service. Obviously they aren't interested in improving their kitchen and wait staff. Avoid coming here read more

After eating with my family last night we gave the waiter 3 separate debit cards for the bill. Upon leaving the restaurant about 30/35 mins later I get a phone call and text message from the fraud prevention of my bank letting me know a high amount was just charged to my card from Ruby Tuesday that looked suspicious. The bank was going to lock my card which meant i was going to have to get a new card and of course that meant changing accounts that are tied to that card as well. Super inconvenient so I asked the bank to hold off and make a note that I would contact the restaurant to see what happened first. I opened up my bank app and low and behold the amount for my share of the bill was pending authorization, but both amounts combined for the other 2 cards was also pending as an authorization...which means someone swiped my card twice! So I called the restaurant and spoke with Gabe the manager, so he said that was his name. I informed him of the issue and told him who our server was. It was ironic because I never even gave him my receipt number. He put me on hold and them said he had all 3 receipts from the cards charged and each one aas closed out properly. So I asked then why am I seeing 2 pending authorizations on my account, 1 that coincidentally was the amount the other 2 cards should have been billed...wait for this...he says "well maybe your bank is holding an amount until your charge clears." I said "what bank do you know holds almost $200 for a $60 bill???" (we had a large party and split the bill). Plus I kept telling him, and I mean KEPT HAVING TO TELL HIM, that MY BANK CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE CHARGE!! So he proceeded to keep telling me my bill was closed out correctly but couldn't tell me why I see another charge. So I said find my server and ask him because he obviously had to swipe my card twice. Gabe proceeds to tell me that unfortunately they are busy...so I had to raise my voice a tad and say I don't care, these are fraudulent charges flagged by my bank and he needs to give an account! So the server comes near the phone and proceeds to say he did not swipe my card twice...then SOMEBODY IS LYING!!! So Gabe begins to say, again, my bill was closed out with the help of another manager so I ask if I can speak to that manager and he said I couldn't because he was in the kitchen cooking. So I had to raise my voice again and tell him I don't care, and that I was coming back down there with the police because I had proof of fraud and someone down there is playn with my money! Suddenly the manager becomes available. So the manager Chris says that he did help close out the bill because the server who is also a Chris came to him for help because he made a mistake somewhere. He said he's looking at my receipt and sees it's closed out properly because he did it. So I said I am not arguing abt the closed out receipt, I said nobody is explaining to me WHY there is another charge of $188 pending on my account which is $94 x 2 coincidentally the other 2 cards should have been billed. I said why can't someone jst say we accidentally swiped your card twice and we apologize and the authorization will drop in a couple of days. Instead yall keep telling me my bill was closed out properly! So Chris explains to me that when you pay with a card the person types in the amount pre-tip, hits "credit card" and them swipes the card. He them says, if u don't type in an actual number the machine will charge the whole bill. I said well the entire bill was not charged to my card, but the card HAD to be swiped twice and he screwed up something because there are TWO SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS I'm looking at I'm my account. He says honestly he should have informed you that he made a mistake on something when he brought the receipt to your table, then I said well he's obviously lying because he claims he didn't swipe the card twice. He said well they had to let some folks go recently for making some similar mistakes so people are a little frightened. I DONT CARE, he is LYING and Chris even said that server is a manager as well. So Chris said he was going to put my receipt in a box in his office and if I don't see the authorization drop by tomorrow (Tues) to call back. So he didn't really explain what happened, he just knows he had to step in and help the server because the server said he messed up. Sounds to me like the server knew EXACTLY what he did and is not fessing up to his blunder! So based off what Chris the manager told me this is what I can deduce...the server must have put the cash first, then swiped my card for my bill for my correct amount which left the $188 balance which was $94 to be charged to the remaining 2 cards each. Instead he picked up my card again, swiped without putting in the amount which put the $188 balance on my card! So instead of saying exactly what he did he just asks for help. read more

After a very long day--my best friend was having eye surgery at the Wills Eye Hospital here in Philly so we started our day at 430 this am for the 2+ hour drive from the DE shore for a 9am appointment we were looking for something easy and considering it was a walk from our hotel Ruby Tuesday was the obvious choice. It was fairly busy but we were seated right away. The restaurant must be fairly new or recently redecorated and incredibly clean. Sarah our waitress was very attentive and efficient. Everything came out very quickly and the salad bar was well stocked and very fresh. Yes it's Ruby Tuesday so you have a certain level of expectation but this Ruby Tuesday met those expectations and exceeded them. A very pleasant end to a very stressful day. Our flight was delayed and we got in kinda late for an anniversary week. We wanted to get a nice dinner at a brand that we knew, so we decided to spend a little more and get Ruby Tuesday's. This location does not uphold the Ruby Tuesday standard. In fact, if this was my first experience with Ruby Tuesday I would never go back. The host did not even stand up from the bench he was sitting on when we walked in. We were so excited looking at the menu, but the food was incredibly bland when it came out. I had a party of 6 and we entered at 6:20pm. I was told a 30 minute wait. Ok... that's not bad for a Saturday and considering this is probably the only restaurant in proximity to a lot of hotels, I didn't mind. I noticed two 4 top tables leave and cleared off and just left sitting without another party being seated. These tables sat for about 15 minutes. So after waiting for 40 minutes, we decided to ask if they could split our party in to two tables and lo and behold, they gave us the two 4 tops. The waitress was very nice. However, service was pitifully slow. I ordered a simple salad bar and soup. The pasta salad from the salad bar was overly salty and the potato salad was runny. The soup was broccoli and cheese and salty as well and I only ate half. It took a while for our waitress to clear our table and bring us our check. We paid our bill and waited quite a while for change to be returned. More than anything else, it is poor management and training that is causing such delays for patrons to be seated.
