    Calamari

We walked into Ruth's Chris for a weeknight double date for a special occasion after a long evening of shopping at the Galleria. The restaurant was pretty empty and we ended up being one of the only 2 parties dining. Service was phenomenal and we thoroughly enjoyed some of the items we ordered. Would definitely come back and specifically re-order the calamari and cowboy ribeye- out of this world! Definitely recommend - calamari: extremely tender with the best sweet and sour sauce. Great portion. - cowboy ribeye: bone in ribeye that was perfectly cooked. I loved that they offered to slice them for us and split into 2 plates to share. They came out sizzling hot and came up to a perfect temperature on the hot plate. Very well seasoned - chicken: our friends loved the chicken! Moist and well seasoned Just okay - molten chocolate lava cake: incredibly reminiscent of the soft and spongey boxed cake mixes. I loved the portion and the gooey filling, but expected a higher cake quality from Ruth's Chris - flourless chocolate cake: this was a very small slice and was decent - berries and cream: my 3 friends ordered 3 each and completely devoured them. This is probably their highest rated thing here, but I personally didn't get it. It was a thin and very sweet cream. - baked potato: this was fine! Pass - goat cheese and artichoke dip: our waitress recommended 2 orders for 4 people, but we could barely finish one. This wasn't our favorite in flavor - creamed spinach: we barely touched this one. Nothing to write home about

We eat here every year for Father's Day. I want to thank the server she was great and the food was good as usual. Although she didn't offer us salads with our meals which I would have ordered. The only problem with this restaurant was we arrived the place was almost empty and the we requested a booth for our seating and they wanted to seat us at table in the middle of the restaurant which I really just don't like. After I mentioned that we requested a booth the hostess began tell us that the open booths are for guests that requested a booth. Which is absolutely ridiculous because we requested a booth. After we were able to sit in a booth that we requested weeks ago the service was great and the food was amazing. After paying the almost $600.00 bill for my wife and my two kids I felt there was no real thank you from the managers who were standing at the hostess station when I exited the establishment. They exchanged words with each other and began to laugh at what ever was said. I have received a better thank you at chick fa la. Do better for mangers for that type of establishment. I'll try Fleming's steakhouse next year for Father's Day. My AMEX offers a deal for this place and several other steakhouses on my area and I think I'll be looking for a new place to have our special occasion dinner because this place has become a joke.

UPDATE: Eric called me and apologized for the service we received. He did offer me a gift card to come back and dine with them again. I thanked him and let him know that we will be coming back in November to try again. I will post another update once we receive the gift card and return. *3.8 stars* I would've given 5 stars except our first time experience was ruined. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted and checked in. We were told it'd be about a 5 minute wait so we stepped outside to take a few pictures. The host came and grabbed us from outside and sat us at our table. We were told our servers for the night would be Drew and Dillion. Servers came to introduce themselves and provided the table with waters. I reserved a table for a party of 8 to celebrate my birthday. Immediately, Drew's attitude lacked professionalism and courtesy. His comments towards the table were rude. My friend ordered a Mac and cheese and shared with the table. When it came time to pack our left overs, he told her he hopes she didn't finish this on her own as it was a lot. Another example of Drew's service, Dillion was very kind to bring me a birthday dessert. Drew kindly brought me a birthday candle as I had forgotten mine in the car. He dropped the lighter onto the plate that Dillion brought and ruined the "birthday" writing on the plate. Drew's response was "Just great. I could get you another one but it'd be awhile." Said, in a flat tone. I politely said that it was okay and I'd be fine. My cousin chimes in on my behalf and asked if he could get me a new one so that I could take a picture. Drew's response "Sure, but like I said, it'd be a while." This is the attitude Drew had the entire evening towards us. We noticed Drew servicing two different tables behind us. He was telling jokes and laughing with them. However, our table he was rude. Dr. Pepper is my favorite drink. Drew was helpful with letting me know of a drink called Roy Roger's. It's similar to Dr. Pepper which Ruth Chris does not provide. Thank you for that, Drew. Dillon was AMAZING! He has wonderful customer service and a great attitude. He was very helpful. Thank you so much Dillion for your positive attitude and wonderful service. The food was wonderful. Absolutely amazing. Everyone's food came out perfect and we sat quietly eating our meals. My favorite would be the steak and Mac and cheese. I did upgrade and added 3 shrimps for $10. The shrimp were alright. I wouldn't order it again but it was nice to have a surf and turf meal. The mashed potatoes were delightful. Light and fluffy. The appetizers were great as well. Overall, the food was excellent! Drew's attitude was poor and made the experience unpleasant. His service was the talk of the table each time he came by. It was everyone's first time at Ruth Chris and it left a bad taste in our mouths.

My husband and I came here for our Valentine's Day dinner. We were having a hard time finding somewhere to get a reservation but luckily we managed to reserve a good time here at Ruth's Chris Steak House! We were seated right away and got to sit at a booth table. The table was cute and very Valentine's Day theme with a candle and rose petals on the table. Our server was Kim and she was able to give us a detailed run down on the menu and provide recommendations. We ended up ordering the Ruth's Classics that came with a starter, entree, side, and dessert. I got the Steak House Salad, Filet and Shrimp entree with a Truffle Crust topper, garlic mashed potatoes for my side, and I upgraded my dessert to the Crème Brûlée. My husband ordered the Soup of the Day for his starter which was a French Onion Soup, upgraded his entree to a Prime Ribeye and Shrimp, cream spinach for his side, and got the classic cheesecake for his dessert. For drinks, I ordered the Pomegranate Martini and he ordered an Old Fashioned and a glass of red wine. With everything that we ordered, we were very impressed! We had no complaints with any of the food and were very satisfied with the way our steaks came out. We both ordered our steaks Medium Rare and it was the right amount of pink. What was even more great about the steaks they serve is that they are served on a plate so hot that it sizzles so the steak was a good hot temperature the whole time and was never cooled down. For someone who loves sweets and desserts, I have to say that my Crème Brûlée dessert choice was my favorite out of all! It just looked so good the moment it was placed on the table that I forgot to take a picture of it to add to my yelp review. They honestly serve their crème brûlée on a good sized bowl that's bigger than other steakhouses that offer crème brûlée. Even my husband was impressed with the crème brûlée! We will definitely be back again sometime!

We have dined many , many times! The price isn't cheap but the stellar service that DREW offers is worth every penny. He makes you feel very welcomed. The food is amazing and hot! The environment is warm and inviting, definitely a perfect date night place. Cheers! Drew, Thank you.

Came here yesterday evening for my birthday on a whim since I was already at the mall. My boyfriend & I haven't eaten at a Ruth Chris in years but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server Kim was amazing, very kind and attentive. She made sure we always had drinks and bread at the table and checked on us frequently. She told me Happy Birthday multiple times and really made us feel welcome. The food was really good, much better than I was expecting. My steak was perfect and melted in my mouth, the mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were very good too. I tried a bit of my boyfriend's Caesar salad and it was probably the best Caesar I've had! They also had birthday confetti scattered on our table and brought me a free birthday dessert which was a nice touch and much appreciated.

Had an early reservation at 330 trying to avoid the rush. Didn't factor in the parking snafu that makes the Galleria the zoo everyday. Back to dinner experience. We got there early we checked in and went to the bar for a beverage. My bride had her Tanqueray martini and it was perfectly made by Amber. We had some questions on a gift card balance and Amber resolved the issue. We were seated by Emma and it was a great experience as well. Not rushed very attentive to the table selected. We were served by Rebeca and she took care of our every need. Filets and lobster were well prepared and just fantastic. Finished off with the cheesecake with fruit and it was delicious. Overall ambiance was great and it was worth the price and traffic circus. Just proves to us that good food and service are still alive in our community. Highly recommended.

Came for my son's birthday. It is always a great experience. Thank goodness we made a reservation because they didn't have any seating until later. We did get seated very quickly and they came to serve us water and bread and then our waiter came after. Christian, our waiter was awesome. He was very accommodating and made small talk and did not ever make us feel rushed. It was a nice intimate feeling even though the restaurant was packed. The drinks did take a little long, but Christian was always checking in on us and giving us updates. The food was delicious and made to perfection. Always a great experience.

Amazing time was spent here celebrating my anniversary. Our server, Chad, was super attentive and helpful! Upon arrival they made sure to congratulate us and create a celebratory environment. They even brought out rose petals for our table! I had a cocktail, the pomegranate martini, which was so sweet and delicious. I also ordered the New York strip, seasoned to perfection but I do wish there was a sauce to compliment it. The Caesar salad was flawless with lots of cheese! My partner ordered the stuffed chicken breasts, super unique dish with great flavor. The complimentary dessert was thoughtful, and the apple pie was tasty. I wish the crust was more flavorful, but the apples inside were a hit! Overall so much fun and I would definitely recommend for friends!

Delicious filet mignon, lobster, rib eye, stuffed chicken breast, lobster mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. I didn't like my steak salad starter. The lettuce mix was not my favorite and it could have used more than two tomato tid bits and a couple croutons. No more scraping the crumbs off the table. We had a very nice server but the service isn't what it used to be long ago.

Came here with friends to celebrate the Holidays; had some with hiccups along the way but nothing alarming. Had reservations for 8 at 8:00pm; table wasn't ready 'til 8:25. Place was packed at the bar and in the dining room; ambiance was pleasant and organized. Surprisingly not a lot of Christmas decor anywhere. After being seated, we were cheerfully greeted by was waitress, and she maintained the awesome personality throughout dinner. We all pretty much ordered Ruth's Classics, which includes a starter, entrée, a personal side & dessert. I got the 6oz. Filet Mignon with a lobster tail. The steak was tender and the lobster was ok in size. Baked potato was large, just with there was more sour cream and chives. Real bacon pieces was good; a pleasant surprise since I'm used to the standard bacon crumbles or bits at other restaurants. Had a mini cheesecake for dessert; nothing to write home about. My wife ordered scallops and she said it was a tad overcooked. My friend ordered a medium 16oz. Ribeye, but he said it was more like medium well. Wanted to order the popular chocolate lava cake, but they ran out. Overall I'd say a decent dining dining experience; Flemings or Firehouse would've probably been a step up, but they were booked out a month ago.

Ask the Community - Ruth's Chris Steak House

If I have an open table reservation for 4 and one cancels will they still accept my party of 3?

Absolutely. Now if you reserved for a party of 10, then 4 showed up, that might be a problem.

Does this location offer indoor dining and if so how do I make reservations for today online is not allowing me to?

Yes, it does. Make a reservation. Even with a restaurant half empty they will decline to seat you. Can't help you with the online reservation.

Do we have to make a reservation?

Not necessarily. However I would recommend it. They are keeping up with social distancing so they make sure to keep the capacity to a certain number.

Are they still doing happy hour?

    Yes they are.

    Is there a dress code?

Yes. Casual dressy. Business attire. No tanktops, flip flops...that sort of thing.

    What is the corkage fee?

    $15

We tried a few of the plates (steak sliders, chicken sliders, Bourbon apricot glazed meatballs, goat cheese bites). Our favorites were the cheese bites and the meatballs. Both sliders were pretty standard. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and modern. I plan to return for a date night, and would come back for happy hour too.

Most of the wines we tried were quite good. Eve, the sommelier, was incredibly sweet and accommodating--she let us sample several wines to make sure we found something we liked. House of Oliver at The Fountains is located in what's described as a kiosk, on an island in the middle of a branch of Galleria Blvd., which is the main street of Fountains at Roseville, a popular Placer County shopping and dining destination. You can savor your favorite adult beverage outside, as you relax on the many shaded tables, thanks to the small fence, which makes imbibing state legal. There is a wood burning fireplace put that's lit on chilly winter evenings, to add cheery warmth and ambiance. The dining room at House of Oliver at The Fountains centers around the small bar, that offers several locally brewed micro brews on tap, wine and a small selection of cocktails. Yes, that's it... the small bar and two high tables for two inside. The bar and dining room is about the size of an apartment living room. Where's the kitchen? It's outside, and most of the limited "Small Bites" on the menu come from the main restaurant - I have yet to review - and are packed in ice chests. This small, kiosk location is known for, as the sign reads, "Beer Wine Bites," and is designed as a fine drop-in lounge, where you can unwind during your shopping expedition and enjoy an adult beverage, and some of the simple, fine cuisine the menu offers. The restaurant opened last July, and today was the first day they were offering on-site grilled sandwiches. The chef told me if it all works out, grilling will happen on a regular basis. You can bet I'll stay tuned to their social media! For the first time since the restaurant opened, today they were offering "BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich," grilled outside, as you watch. As my luck had it, I was the third customer to enjoy a sandwich, on this premiere day of barbecue for House of Oliver at The Fountains. Chef Matthew had wrapped the sandwich with butcher paper, and cut it in half, for easy enjoyment. The sandwich began with a generous helping of tri-tip beef, cut into thin strips, seasoned, marinated and expertly grilled on the Weber propane-fired grill. Grilled bacon was placed on the tri-tip, which truly elevated it to the next level. If that wasn't enough, the talented chef added melted, shredded cheese... oh my! As my sandwich was being prepared, I was asked if I wanted grilled, caramelized onions... sign me up! ... as onions add the "extra mile" to any sandwich. The tri-tip, bacon, onions and cheese were placed on buttered steak roll, which was toasted on the grill, and topped with barbecue sauce, Texas style. The completed sandwich was wrapped in butcher paper, cut in half, and placed in a cardboard box, for take out, or to enjoy in the tiny dining room, or outside on one of the many picnic tables. Mustard, mayonnaise and dill pickle relish were offered inside, but this sandwich was so delicious that it didn't need any enhancements! My first bite... oh my! ... simply delicious! The tri-tip beef was moist, tender and grilled perfectly. Combine the meat with bacon, cheese, caramelized onion, barbecue sauce, on a buttered, toasted steak roll, and you get the idea... Chef Matthew created an amazing tri-tip sandwich! Talk about fine dining with a view! You can enjoy the atmosphere inside the cozy, micro dining room, or relax outside and enjoy the beauty and excitement of The Fountains at Roseville. It's all yours... along with craft beer on tap, wine, mixed drinks, small bites and the occasional grilled cuisine... served by friendly staff who treat you like royalty. It's a cute cozy wine spot with a nice selection to choose from. When we got here it was initially empty but soon people started to trickle in. The worker was really nice, we were able to sample different wines, and he was helpful in answering questions we had. The inside is clean, there's bar seating, tables, a small couch area, and seats in the window if you wanna people watch. The wine we tried was really good, I really liked their more tart white wines and the sparkling blue champagne. The inside was also nice and air conditioned which helped with the hot weather outside. The day we went they weren't serving any food outside of salads but the food portion of their menu looked pretty good. This place was super cute and I'd definitely come again!

Cute little wine bar in old Folsom! Went as a group of 3 on a Thursday evening around 6:45 pm and…read morewe were promptly seated. We decided to get a wine flight: I got the Rosé flight, and my friends got the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir flight. For tapas, we decided to split the Tuscany Hummus Bruschetta, Hot Honey Cheese Balls, and the Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese Flatbread. There were a decent amount of vegetarian options to choose from. Wines were delicious and very smooth. The presentation of the food was great and it tasted flavorful and fresh. Since it is tapas style, the portion size is small. The bill with tip came out to be $120 which we felt was a bit steep for the three of us considering the small portion sizes and the fact that we left the restaurant still feeling a little hungry. This would be a great date spot and I would consider coming back for happy hour.
