Just got my bike looked at here because it was so close to my office and my bike was not running…read more Robert, the owner, was nice in helping me charge my battery. however, when i chose to get her repaired, it was a whole another story. the diagnosis after an hour and half labor was that i would need a whole new carb for $500 or have it rebuilt for $400! And all it needed was a pilot jet that was clogged. An hour's work at best! I got my friend to do it for me. The best part was when i asked him to return the bike to my office (5 mins away), suddenly it was a $65 charge! "minimum one hour". Never again. I dont know how he runs his harley rentals, but i certainly am not recommending his mechanical services.

Got a call that the tranny was tired so I went for the rebuild. Roughly $2K. Got the bike back and it was put together wrong and with missing parts. The tranny works fine, but the oil lines were jimmy rigged to hold away from the pipes when there used to be a part that did the job. Surprise suprise- you can't order that part from Harley- it's not listed... Also the colil cover was hadned back to me unmounted- turns out the guy lost the clip to hold it on. The battery cover was put on wrong as well... Unfortunately the bike has sat for a couple of years so I didn't notice all this until I took it out this spring. I was going to go back there for some other work to be done on the bike, but I can't trust them to put it together right. I spent many hours bringing this thing back to life only to have someone carelessly handle its servicing. Its going to cost me additional money to search for the missing parts. Being that this was two years ago, I hope they have improved the quality of the service. I've had harleys for 25 years and been to a number of these shops...

The service was fine, very nice, helpful agents, but only 2 behind the counter and I was at least 10th in line! My Fiancé ended up paying $20 for parking his car in the stupid parking garage, as he waited for me to get my rental car! Ughhhh! At least I got the rental car, SUV- Tucson, Hyundai I wanted. I know there's never a grantee on car rentals, but one can HOPE and cross your fingers and toes! Hee I'm only giving 3 out of 5 because it took me 45 mins to GET the paperwork on my car, which I couldn't register ahead of time, since I got my rental through Priceline.com and then once upstairs, it took me another 15 mins to actually GET my rental..... I guess they ran out of clean cars... mine was soaking wet, but I know she was CLEAN! Hee. Oh- I ended up extending my rental and the original price was lower that week versus the continued week.... So that was a bit more on my wallet.....

To be completely honest, I am biased. I already had a good relations with another dealership and…read morewent to this dealership since I moved close to it. The pro is they're one of the few dealers that sells new Yamahas around San Jose and they're open Sundays. That being said, I do not like their customer service at times. When I'm interested in a bike, they pull it out and let me see it. But there was a time I went with a bike I purchased at the dealership I always go. The employee at GP sports asked me where I got it and when I told them where, he laughed and said something like "they're not a real dealer, we're the real ones" and spoke a bit more talking down on the dealership I got my bike at. It felt very unwelcoming and uncomfortable because I felt very attacked since my choice and my motorcycle was talked down on. Don't get me wrong, they were probably joking but I always get some arrogant and cocky feel from a lot of their older employees. They feel very corporate. Another time, they showed no compassion and left it at "it's policy, we can't take in service bikes on Sunday" when my acquaintance crashed his bike right across the shop in the parking lot and wanted to leave it with them for a repair. Their service department was going to open Tuesday, and told us to tow the bike home and tow it back Tuesday. We decided to just take it home and repair ourselves. It is fair for them to have boundaries but the arrogant, "it's your fault" feel they had and con compassion made the experience very bad. I am coming from a very welcoming dealer that I believe would at least call the boss to see if they can take the bike in so I was very unpleasant. The younger employees and some other employees are very friendly and nice so it hurts to leave this review, but as a whole, it was never a great experience going there. It seems like I'm not the only one since I hear bad things about them, and you can read the other reviews for yourself :(
