Hands down! awesome kabob place! my son enjoyed their chicken kabob plate, my husband ordered the gyro wrap and I tried their chicken curry. This was my first time trying their curry and it was awesome! I normally eat Indian curry but theirs was good also. Ambiance is very relaxed and still new since they just opened here recently. Service is nice, the lady or teen who tends the counter always has a smile on her face for customers. After 18 holes at the Eastlake golf course I came to check out Sd kabob shack. I'm a big fan ever since I went to the Chula Vista location. I walked in and was greeted by the cashier who took my order - California wrap with gyro meat. I also ordered a chicken plate to go for my wife. My buddy who I played golf with got a burger. The ambiance was chill - played some chill ambient beats like they do at the first location. A few customers came in and dined in shortly after - as well as a handful of to go orders (like door dash). I received my food and was super pleased to see it was consistent with the first location. They also had all the same sauces... I'm a major fan of the chipotle sauce. The gyro wrap was gone within minutes and my buddy loved the burger. My wife enjoyed her chicken plate and said it tasted as good as the original location. The food is just that dang good! Super glad to see this family owned restaurant is growing. I noticed that this place just opened up recently so decided to place a pick up order on a weeknight. I tried the falafel plate and gyro fries. The falafel plate was just OK (rice was bland, falafels were a bit hard, could have used more grilled veggies too) but the gyro fries were awesome and loaded with meat! Overall, prices were fair, portion sizes were decent, and the people working there were friendly. The menu here seems to have some good variety so I'll probably be back again to try some new stuff. read more

I really wanted to like this place- gotta support local businesses! But there were so many cons that outweighed the good. Starting with the good- I really enjoyed the fries. They were perfect. They were super crispy and well seasoned. My burger was tasty and the bun was perfectly toasted, but the patty was a dry, burnt hockey puck. Maybe it was my fault for getting a burger at a kabob shop, but it's called "world famous" so I had to try it. The sauces were pretty nasty. If you're gonna give me a dry burger, at least give me a good sauce to slather on it. The only passable sauce was the white sauce. The spice level was great on the red sauce (mango chili) but it was super sour and fruity.. it wasn't for me. The afghan chutney was pure vinegar with a couple cilantro leaves floating in it. The kicker was how dirty the place was as other reviews mentioned. When I ordered at the register, there were gnats buzzing around my face. I wanted to sit at the counter but there was a huge pube where I was about to put my drink down. The floor was littered with lettuce and crumbs from other people's meals, and it was dark so all the trash shows up more. Nobody bothered to wipe the sauce station that was crusted with red sauce splatter. The trash had sauce splatter too. I mean if the front of house looked that bad, I can only imagine how disgusting the back of house is. I'm leaving 2 stars- 1 for the fries and 1 for the taste of the burger. It looks like the owner is active on Yelp so respectfully, please clean your store it was really gross and just looks like nobody cares. read more
