I contacted a few companies, but they all said a custom window would take a long time and that the whole process was pretty complicated, so I just kept putting it off. Luckily, last week my neighbor was getting their windows replaced, and a guy named Julian from that company kindly stopped by to ask if I also needed anything done -- which was perfect timing for me. In just a few days, they finished measuring, quote, and placed the custom order. Since they have their own factory, everything moved really fast. Today, the installer, Franky, finished the installation in less than an hour. The new frame is wider and much sturdier than the old one, and this double-pane glass is at least an inch thicker than what I had before. It's also energy-efficient. Now I'm even considering replacing all the bedroom windows like my neighbor did, so the next time we get strong Santa Ana winds, I'll be able to sleep much more peacefully.

Upon trying to confirm the estimate, the scheduler insists "both homeowners" needed to be home for the appointment. I asked her why if it's for an estimate only. Scheduler stated, It is our policy that both homeowners come out as we are "talking" through design and the home energy assistant program. I explained that wouldn't be possible as schedule would prevent us from scheduling. She asks, "Oh does he travel for work a lot?" When I laughed it off (is this really necessary for windows?) and mentioned the decision maker who would be present is the best source to make a decision, she very rudely dismissed it and said "Well if it's not both of them we cannot have the appointment." Needless to say, we canceled. Not sure if this is sexism or a sales tactic - but either it's not a smart business model as its counter productive and invasive.

His team is quite knowledgeable about structural residential construction work, and they are fully licensed and insured and they worked really well with our permitted engineered plans and helped us to understand them and every City inspector approved their work with no problems at each phase. I trust him wholeheartedly. He made my home absolutely beautiful, listened to my ideas, and worked hard to make them happen . He has a great set of tradesmen that work under him, including a phenomenal fabricator for our kitchen and bathroom counters, and standout tiler . And if anything does come up , he has taken full responsibility and accountability for anything that needed to be handled. Each phase of our project was done timely and he was very honest and Ignacio takes great care and pride in his work. If we need an area kept material free for in and out access, they listen and kept it free of debris and tools etc. They also arrive to work on time.
