My go to place for take out & delivery, quick bite or Indian snack..This is your answer to all things hot & fresh :) special shout out to the team for being responsive!

Soya chaap curry and Muli Parantha

This is a tiny place and mostly flocked by folks who do to-go orders. Their food is completely vegetarian and feels like homestyle cooking (ghar ka khaana). We tried their Soyachaap Curry, Muli Parantha, Chilli Paneer Kathi Roll, and 2 rounds of their soulful Chai. Everything was delicious, and they served generous portions to satisfy us 3 hungry friends. Their butter is homemade too! Droooool! Thanks to the very sweet and efficient Sukhdeep for letting us be our boisterous selves even in their small dhaba. Indoor seating cannot allow more than 20 to 30. Highly recommend going there for lunch on a weekday or early dinner on a weeknight for a sit-down meal to avoid crowds.

Hey there everyone. Saattvik is pretty good. You can see the photo of aloo prontha. It was amazing. I've been seeing Saatvikk since they opened. We have tried their Daals and sabjis as well. Today I felt the need to let everyone know that they are pretty good. I recommend them for sure! Try their pronthe too good..! Thank you

Authentic Indian cuisine served fresh with many options for whatever you're craving. All of their dishes seem to be vegetarian so you'll be in for a treat with how unique and innovative they incorporate protein (like paneer/cheese) into their dishes. Saattvik seems to specialize in a lot of bread options including puffed, fried bread options like puri and roti. They all seem to be made to order and while take a while to come out, are also well worth the wait. On any typical day, you'll see a few curry options (wet and dry) as well as snacks like samosas and pakoras. There may be special dishes for the day and during Friday and Saturday evenings, they also serve a variety of chaat (Indian street food) like pani puri. We came in for lunch on Friday and there were a steady flow of customers. For the uninitiated, their menu may be a bit overwhelming as it's quite exhaustive of their offerings, however, they do make it easy with their combos. Each curry is priced differently and while you could order a la carte, as a newcomer, I just chose two of the curries I wanted to enjoy and they just charged me based on the curries selected. Each combo comes with two pieces of roti and rice. The staff were very friendly and since it was our first visit, they took the time to explain their menu and how the combos worked. They were very knowledgeable, extremely patient with our indecision, helpful in communicating about the status of our order and exceptionally present in ensuring we had a great experience. Aside from the standard curries they have all the time, they also have the special curry of the day. If you're more of a curry fan and looking to feed a few people or multiple meals, you may want to consider ordering the quart containers which are also priced accordingly. I also ordered the choley puri and it was delicious. Each bite came with a bit of a spicy kick. The bread pakora was also very moist and paired well with the spicy green chutney and the sweet chutney. I'll need to come back to try their other options and snacks. There are so many to choose from! Something unique about Saattvik is that they also offer a monthly subscription which is priced based on the number of meals you're getting. Each serving includes rice, curry (dry and wet), roti and onions. If you're considering it, check out their WhatsApp for more information. You'll also see their daily specials there as well. Inside you'll find a few small tables and a few more outside. The display of food inside is spectacular and gets your mouth watering. Parking is shared with the supermarket and other great eateries in the area. The supermarket side of the parking lot is typically vacant enough and should suffice. Being located so close to the highway entrance and exit and also being quite central to Fremont, Newark and Union City, it's a popular spot for the community of Indian cuisine enthusiasts. Overall, if you're looking for a delicious spot for Indian curries or other authentic dishes, Saattvik will satisfy your craving and give you a great impression. You may need to come back to try the full extent of their menu but if you do end up signing up to their subscription even if only for a month, you'll get a good deal (less than $300 for 24 meals) and full understanding of their offerings. May it be lunch or dinner, you'll get a good taste of India and will be all the more cultured to start telling your friends and family about this place!

Saattvik Indian Dhaba has been here for years. Outside & inside dining options. Both just a few tables. No decor. Menu posted on wall behind food counter. Offering: thalis, Indian vegeterian food. Chaats & most items available only on weekend. Order at counter, pay, get food.. Eats: 2 non paneer entries thali (9.99) + chai.. -choose eggplant & spinach from steam table. Each scoop+, generous serving. Both had bold favors from Indian spices & herbs. Not bland at all. -ate some (basmatic) rice. (Usually do with curries). -rice was also a big serving. -2 tawa roti tasted better than the usual naan. Chai wasn't a disappointment. Seem made to order. When i asked how much? Was Told $15. I Paid it . Didn't question the math. Older counter person was helpful navigating my ordering. I was lost, just followed his lead. I wanted to take leftovers to go in a box. He scoop a spoon of panner curry on top of my rice. Informed me a box would cost me $10, Since they only use it to sell take out orders. We settled on aluminum foil to cover my plate. Win-Win! 4.5 stars food tasted great! Paneer curry too. If repeat, need to come weekends for full menu. Place probably busier...

We recently catered my daughter's birthday party from Saatvik and it was a hit! The noodles, gobi manchurian, and samosas were all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food. We have also been frequent customers for meal pickups, and the quality is consistently excellent. The service is friendly and efficient, making it our go-to spot for both special occasions and quick meals. Don't have any pics of catering order but posting some photos that I clicked there. Last pic is the paneer tawa sandwich that I had ordered. It was a little expensive but very tasty. Only suggestion is if they have their daily menu posted on the website than that would have been great as they change their menu daily. Overall Highly recommend!

Food is really good, if I were to rate the main meal I had alone, it would be 5/5. I forgot to take a pic of what I got but the one I got in the sauce pic, is the top right one, the most red sauce. I got that and there was a tray on top of the sauces with some orange balls, I asked for 2 of those. And total came up to 20$. I gave him cash and there was no receipt. It was really good, the indian rice is as you'd expect, the sauce has substance, its thick, the tofu has a nice texture to it, its a firm tofu. A flavorful sauce. The orange ball thing is a little sweet, has a little crunch. Im not used to. He prepares them in 2 containers, one for rice, the other for the sauce all in a bag with a spoon in it. I think he expected me to go but I dined in. Theres a water dispenser to the right of the fridge. Self serve Theres napkins on the tables I wish things would be clearer, I dont know the price of the foods, I didnt get a receipt, I dont even know what I ate. Ok I need to explain something, I did ask him to recommend me what to eat. I couldnt hear exactly what he said I just said yes. So thats why I dont know what I ate 5/5 for the rice and sauce 4/5 overall

Saattvik is one among the many Indian places serving hot parathas, sabjiz and chaat but a great tasting one at that. We came here for Sunday lunch and ordered the soya chaap paneer thali & a cheese chilli paratha. This is not something I've seen in other places so was excited to try a new variation. It was very good and I liked that the paratha was huuge. The thali sabjis were amazingg, especially shahi paneer. They also asked if I wanted 2 rotis + rice or 3 rotis in the thali and I jumped at the 3 roti option. Wish more restaurants had that because most often than not the rice is plain tasting and I'd rather skip it. The rotis here deserve a special mention - super soft, big and absolutely hot and fresh! I would come back here just to order rotis, they are even better than the ones made at home :) The place is small with a few tables crammed together, so more of a takeout spot than dining in. It's also a bit more $$ than its contemporaries around the area for the same quantity of food.

Until tonight that is , when I went to dine in with a couple friends. If you walk into a place on a Wednesday night, and all the tables are taken, that's a sign. You walk in and it smells incredible, that's a sign. You see people laughing and chatting while partaking from varied dishes, then that's a sign! We ordered the Naga special chicken curry, the brinjal curry and the shrimp mango curry( that comes with rice), and roti and naan. Portions are ample , place is clean and service is satisfactory. Our sever Gopal took care of us in a timely and friendly fashion. The food itself, I mean , the flavors are all there. Each dish tastes unique and you get a sense you are eating out. No home style simple cooking here, the spices are intense and each dish has a bite. Isn't that why you go out to eat? Prices are really good, if you consider what other places charge for entrees. And everything comes out piping hot and fresh. So don't wait till the weekend to try it out, go today!

Never quite experienced an Indian restaurant with so much attentiveness and kindness. Server kept asking how our food is and if everything is alright :) We ORDERED the special goat curry, butter naan and butter roti (we went to another restaurant before this haha). I appreciate how descriptive their MENU is as they do list the ingredients. The goat was tender, juicy and delicious. Server warned us that medium is super spicy so we went with mild which we did not think it was spicy at all. Naan and roti were good. Roti is a bit more dry than the naan. Would order the naan again. VIBEZ: Lots of take out orders. Lots of different cultures and ages dining in. Love the modern and clean decor. Located in a plaza with tight parking. Would I come back? Yes! Why the 4 stars? I wish they'd leave a tray of napkins on the table instead of the need to repeatedly ask for more napkins (because some of us/some cultures can't stand the oiliness on their hands...). I also wish there was more variety on their menu especially regarding the veggie curries... what happened to palak paneer? :( ...also found it to be strange that their online menu was different especially regarding the apps portion. Plus I always order rice and when I saw multiple tables ordering rice, it was just a bowl of white basmati rice...wished they'd flavor it like multiple other establishments.
