The DaDa dates are wonderful but the portion size (4 dates) is a bit bit small for sharing. A great option for a party of four is the Messe Board. Service always friendly and courteous. A big plus this that DaDa has its own valet parking. What do do with your car is always a problem in Delay Beach.

Our table ordered a mix of dishes, including the veggie omelet made with three eggs, mushrooms, garlic, leeks, spinach, Gruyère, and crispy fried potatoes (one friend swapped the potatoes for tomatoes). I went with the avocado toast, topped with lemon, tomato, watermelon radish, piment d'Espelette, and sea salt. It was fresh, beautifully presented, and much larger than I expected--I happily took half of it home for later. To celebrate the birthday girl, we couldn't resist sharing the unadulterated double chocolate pecan brownie, topped with caramel and chocolate mousse. It was rich, decadent, and the perfect ending to brunch. We sang "Happy Birthday," shared lots of laughs, and enjoyed a wonderful morning together. Great food, a fun atmosphere, and the perfect ending to a relaxing morning in Delray. I always love finding ways to support local, and this was definitely a brunch worth repeating. Just a note - we were able to use our in kind offer which was also very nice. A few bucks saved is very nice these days.

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.

My attitude was simple: it's about celebrating my friend. I'm so glad I did because this visit completely changed my mind. The restaurant's new location (where Mellow Mushroom used to be) is beautiful, spacious, and has a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for gathering with friends. Since we were sharing, we sampled a little of everything, and it was all delicious. Favorites included the falafel, Lebanese moussaka, crispy Brussels sprouts with Aleppo date glaze, baba ghanouj, classic hummus, Rocca beet salad, and the fresh, flavorful fattoush salad. Every dish was colorful, well-seasoned, and perfect for sharing around the table. The drinks kept flowing, and everyone was having a great time. To celebrate the birthday, we finished with an orange olive oil cake and a rich dark chocolate cake with sauce--both were wonderful endings to a fantastic meal. A special shout-out to our server, Ariana, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind to everyone at the table. She helped make the evening even more enjoyable. This visit completely changed my opinion of the restaurant. Great food, a beautiful new space, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere made for a memorable evening. What a beautiful transition! We needed that. Thank you for proving me wrong--I will definitely be back!

The pitas were amazing, they came to our table piping hot and billowing with hot steamy air. We also tried the tabouleh. For mains, the octopus on lentils was very good. The lamb chops were great with mint pesto and very puffy rice, tho they came out a bit over done (I ordered them medium and they were closer to medium well). The branzino was also good - a unique take on the dish with lentil sauce.

We paid almost $100 per person for their omakase experience and it was a complete rip-off. First of all, we left completely starving. There was not one single ounce of protein in any of the courses, and every dish was aggressively salty. The service was just as much of a joke as the food. We never got our water or sodas refilled, and the staff completely ignored every single request we made. They also totally skipped us for the welcome glass of champagne, even though we literally watched them hand it out to everyone else. The most infuriating part was the bread situation. They told us we could not have any because their "upstairs bread oven wasn't working", but we could clearly see them actively serving bread to the downstairs customers. Make it make sense! Also, multiple people in our group had upset stomachs after and could not even stomach the food and left feeling uneasy. They now believe they have food poisoning which is disappointing since we used to love this place! It was also too loud inside and we felt packed as sardines. When we finally expressed our extreme dissatisfaction to the manager, he just gave us a weak "sorry" and did absolutely nothing to make it right. Honestly, the food was worse than cruise ship food and the customer service is completely nonexistent. It was a huge waste of money and a ruined night. Save your cash and go literally anywhere else.

If you're ordering it as it's intended ( for an appetizer... ) share with a large group. When I went, we were just a party of two so we pretty much filled up on it, but it was so good. No one was complaining! In terms of entrées, their eggs that come with this cheesy hash brown casserole is so good. Strawberry and cream basil French toast also really good... to me, it probably didn't need the basil, as that can be a bit bitter- although it sounded great but I didn't love it... But still a really good dish. However, what happened to me there was the waitress dropped a drink on the floor which splashed up all over me. She right away got me some napkins to clean myself off and while I wasn't thrilled, it happens, whatever. I didn't think too much of it. But then the manager comes over and could not be more apologetic. She kept asking what she could do for us... And ended up, taking off our appetizer from the Bill which I thought was very nice of her. I left there so stuffed and will definitely return because it was great food and a good experience - even though I left smelling a little bit like a bar. 100% worth it!

We got there early enough to sit at the bar, have a drink, and order an appetizer. We chose the truffle ricotta. It was awesome, and came with great truffle flavor and fig slices. The perfect way to start the evening. The bartenders were attentive, pleasant, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The music was at a comfortable volume, very nostalgic and the vibe was great. We told the hostess when we were ready to be seated at our table. Suddenly, the volume went up on the music and the crowd started arriving. Definitely a party atmosphere! We decided on a glass of wine and a bunch of appetizer dishes to share. The Caesar salad was very creatively presented, but for flavor, I would give it 6 out of 10 stars. The garlic bread, however, was a 9 and a definite recommendation! We also ordered the grilled octopus, which looked a lot different than the pictures we saw on their website, but had good flavor and was cooked well. A solid 7. The Nori Cones were a big surprise. We loved them and wished there were more than 3 to an order. A true 10! Lastly, we decided to go with the tableside tiramisu as a shared anniversary dessert, and it was just plain delicious! Not only that, our waiter - who was both patient and accommodating - delivered dessert with... Flare Candles! All in all, a very memorable, and enjoyable, way to spend our anniversary dinner. The pesto gnocchi arrived looking the part: beautifully plated, artfully drizzled, completely devoid of flavor. I'm not sure what basil did to the kitchen to deserve such a muted representation, but the dish tasted like it had been described pesto rather than made with it. The texture was fine. The experience was not. The server assigned to our table seemed to regard us as an inconvenience he was graciously tolerating. Every interaction carried the faint suggestion that we weren't quite sophisticated enough to be there -- questions were answered with barely concealed impatience, and recommendations were delivered as corrections rather than suggestions. Good service at a restaurant like this should feel elevated, not alienating. The atmosphere is undeniably gorgeous, and the crowd was well-dressed and suitably impressed with themselves. If you enjoy paying a premium to feel slightly inferior while eating forgettable food, this is your place. For the rest of us, there are Italian restaurants that remember hospitality is also part of the menu.
