As I entered, I eyed Cholita Linda, and since we had already eaten at the place near us, I knew what we wanted and would enjoy for our late lunch or early dinner... a Cubano! For those who might not know, a traditional Cubano sandwich is made with Cuban bread (a white bread loaf with a thin, crispy crust and a soft, airy inside. Usually, a moist palmetto leaf is placed on top of the dough before baking to create its signature split), Mojo-marinated roasted pork (slow-roasted in a marinade made of sour orange juice, garlic, oregano, and cumin), glazed ham (sweet, deli-style sliced ham), Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and yellow mustard. Of course, here in the US, the recipe is adjusted based on the location and available ingredients, but the core stays the same, which makes for a delicious sandwich. Cholita Linda's Cubano is made with pulled pork shoulder, black forest ham, mustard, pickles, aioli, and Swiss cheese on grilled French bread. Trust me when I tell you that it is a delicious version! Anyway, this location is very well managed and maintained. The staff are friendly and the place is clean and nicely kept. They have tables inside and outside the mall. On a warm day, you might prefer to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air while you eat.

WOW. I can't believe I never tried this place earlier. Our party of three got the sweet corn…read moretamale, pache tamale, chuchitos, garnachas, and chile relleno plato. It was more than enough food but we just couldn't stop eating because of how delicious it was! The sweet corn tamale was like a dessert, but paired with the tang and salt of the sour cream and cotija cheese it became a refreshing sweet and salty bite. It was a traditional corn dough and the texture was insanely soft, unlike most of the dry tamales I have had before. The pache tamale was truly the star. I had no idea what I was ordering, but I'm so glad that I managed to get this item in my order. The masa is made with potatoes instead of corn which gives it a smooth and melt in your mouth texture and a savory, addictive flavor. The pork inside is juicy and tender. Each bite is complete with the tangy pickled onions. The chuchitos were like the traditional Mexican tamales I am used to, with corn masa and stuffed with flavor and juicy chicken. The tamales are doused in a delectable red sauce and topped with cotija, sour cream, and more pickled onions. They were delightful. The garnachas were definitely the other star of this order. I had never had tostadas like them before, with flavorful and juicy chopped meat, salsa, and cotija. They are served with pickled veggies to add spice and tang, but what surprised me the most was the sautéed cabbage placed on top of each garnacha. The cabbage was so flavorful and soft, and despite all of the other sources of flavor it made itself known. The chile relleno plato was unlike what I am used to. Often, the chile rellenos my family eats are poblano peppers stuffed with oaxacan cheese, these were not that at all. In a way, this dish resembled more of a stuffed bell pepper, with a red pepper filled with chopped meat and veggies. I did get a piece of cartilage which made me a little wary when taking a bite but it was so delicious I couldn't help myself. The black beans it came with were flavorful and the dressing of the salad was amazing and reminiscent of a green goddess dressing. The service was amazing. The people were sweet and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the ambience even though I did order pick up. There are murals and bright colors lining all of the walls, giving the place a welcoming and fun vibe. Overall, with the amazing food, sweet faculty, and beautiful setting, it is impossible to go to this place and not feel an immediate lift in mood.

I recently visited Limon on an early Friday evening, and despite the restaurant not being busy, the…read morelevel of service varied significantly among the staff. The standout of the night was Javier C. He appeared to be doing the work of multiple people--serving tables, tending the bar, and even helping clear and reset tables. Throughout the evening, he remained attentive, professional, friendly, and efficient. He consistently checked on guests and ensured everyone had what they needed. Unfortunately, many of the other servers seemed disengaged. Several appeared more focused on standing around and repeatedly wiping menus than assisting guests or checking on their tables. As a result, Javier seemed to be carrying much of the workload himself while other team members were noticeably inattentive. Limon is fortunate to have an employee like Javier. His work ethic, sense of urgency, and dedication to customer service set an excellent example. I hope management recognizes his efforts and encourages the rest of the team to follow his lead. Javier was the reason our dining experience remained positive despite the lackluster service from much of the rest of the staff.

I've tried lomo saltado dishes at other restaurants (because I have found the need to always get this dish at a Peruvian restaurant ever since my first time at Limón), but nothing compares. I've tried a couple that have come close though! Came here on a Tuesday evening (made a reservation online for three). Lomo Saltado: always my go-to dish. I very rarely venture away from this dish (will usually get ceviche in addition). Flavorful and filling. Miscellaneous: - If you're going with a larger group or during peak meal times, recommend making a reservation - Parking is available via street parking - Good for small and large groups - The restaurant is loud
