This taqueria we just so happen to drive by while we were in the area. It's in a small shopping plaza off of Treat Blvd. Definitely not an "Authentic Mexican Restaurant" as they have advertised. The service was fast. Pricing was moderate to expensive for simple eats. They call out your order and you pick it up from the counter. You have to ask for salsa, they just don't give it to you. No free corn tortilla chips. The menu was mediocre, pick your meat and you get either a taco, burrito or quesadilla. Pricing of tacos was by the size of the tortilla (small or large). We had the Quesabirria served with a small container of consumè. It was tasty, but more like a beef stew instead of the true authentic Mexican Birria tasting meat. The cabeza and lengua tacos were decent, meat was tender, but bland in taste, not a distinctive Mexican flavor. We had the brownish salsa which had nice flavor and heat. The other salsa was just red and hot. They give you one big slice of lemon with the tacos instead of slices of lime. The restaurant itself is plain Jane. No napkin dispensers or salt shakers on the tables. The tables were old and weathered. Would we come back and eat here? Probably not! This is just another plain taqueria that is just selling food to sell food. Nothing special or distinctive to make this place stand out. We were very disappointed, hoping to find that tasty, hole in the wall taqueria somewhere here in Concord! Well, onto the next!!

First, they accommodated my late inquiry for catering. My original caterer fell ill and I needed something quick. Emailed on a Wednesday, got a response within 24hrs. Discussed package options and details, all reasonable and fair. Ray and his mother arrived promptly at the designated time and literally got to work. For a party of 35 hungry family members, they made delicious and flavorful pupusas. Masa was tasty and fresh. The cheese and chicharron (pork) were delicious and the cheese and loroco were just as good. What I appreciated the most was they made the pupusas fresh there at the event. Good-sized and delicious. The encurtido and salsas were fresh and tasty. All in all, it was a great experience working with Ray and the food was fantastic. I recommend Pupusas Buen Provecho especially from a catering aspect. I look forward to the next catered event as Ray said they were expanding their menu options.
