When I think of chileaquile I think of tortilla chips and a nice sauce this was not it

This bowl definitely caught me by surprise I didn't expect tortilla slivers. The taste isn't horrible but just not what I expect for chileaquiles. The price for the product was not worth it . Definitely wouldn't order this again. The services is amazing the gentlemen in the front was very polite quick on his feet great customer service that's hard to find now and days.

I have been to Sacks in the City several times. It is convenient and they offer a nice simple lunch menu that is generally well prepared and their smoothies creations are delicious. I usually order the chicken pesto sandwich or sammie as they call it. It is sorta an ungrilled wanna be panini. The sandwich was enjoyable and is chocked full of juicy chicken and flavor. Unfortunately, service can be spotty for this small sandwich shop. One time around 2pm, I was served my sandwich within a reasonable 5-6 minutes. Another time around 1pm, I had to wait almost 20 minutes before I got my sandwich. They also don't appear to be well stocked based on their consumption sales. They ran out of specific chips that I wanted and the remaining choices were pretty slim. They have limited both indoor and outdoor tables for dining. Sacks in the City is a nice addition to the Artesia corridor. Hopefully the office building and locals can consistently support this small sandwich shop to be successful in North Redondo.

4++ This is a small neighborhood sandwich shop that also does a lot of breakfast items located on a busy street in Redondo Beach. It's also located close to a lot of homes, which is the reason why we walked over and found this place. The menu itself is surprisingly large for a small place and a small operation. I was at my friend's house watching football the other day and we got hungry so we decided to walk around the neighborhood and check this place out while walking his dog as well. The vibe you get is an awesome neighborhood place where everybody knows everyone's name. I mean when we were there, the owner, Chris, seemed to refer all the other people by the first name and vice versa. I thought that was really cool. he was also super friendly and helpful when ordering and giving us our food. I ordered the Frenchy and the tortilla soup because it was getting a little chilly and I thought soup would be perfect. The sandwich was warm as well. I thought it was delicious. I love croissant sandwiches with a lot of savory and sweet ingredients inside including the pear. The tortilla soup was warm and good and hit the spot on a chilly day. My friend's girlfriend told me their breakfast items were really good here too. I definitely would love to come back to either try those are other sandwiches. Especially since it's so convenient to walk over from my friends house. I'm glad we found the spot and hoping to come back here often.

I ordered through postmates, asking for no bacon on the sacks bowl & extra avocado. Definitely disappointed there was so much bacon & the avocado was black . Been wanting to try them out for awhile , def don't order online cause it seems they don't read the instructions.

This small, quaint neighborhood cafe is located on the corner of an office building, and right by the North Redondo Beach Bike Path. The menu had a lot of options: bowls, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies, coffees, and juices all at GREAT PRICES. I ordered the Manhattan Toast (aka LOX bagel) for $11.95 and it was delicious! It came with a generous amount of smoked salmon. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich for $8.95 and enjoyed it too. There's a couple of tables indoors and about three tables outdoors. The owner was very attentive, friendly and provided quick service! Great local neighborhood cafe! Will definitely be back.

Looking for a quick but delicious bite to eat? Sacks in the City is a fun little eatery located in the lobby of an office building in Redondo Beach. It's small footprint is easily missed so keep your eyes open as you drive down Artesia past Phelan lane. They serve up some of the most affordable and tasty wraps in the south bay. We split a Turkey Club wrap with added Jalapenos and a Rosarito Wrap. Both the turkey and the chicken slices in the wraps were fresh and tasty. The Jalapenos in the Turkey club gave just enough kick to tzatziki to combine everything together for a delish wrap. With the Chicken wrap I loved the taste of the corn relish and how it worked with the cilantro lime to give the chicken an amazing taste. They also serve some great coffees. You got to try their lavender latte. Next time? Oh yeah! One of their breakfast wraps and a cup of bulletproof coffee.

    Sooooo gooood. All the berriesssss.

My husband ordered food ahead of time, forgetting to ask if I'd like anything too. Haha, I don't blame him, I rarely eat breakfast-y stuff so he assumed I didn't want anything. But this time I was hungry! Sacks has a big menu - lots of breakfast and lunch items, salads, wraps, smoothies, juices, etc. Nothing quite struck my fancy as I was looking for something to take on the go. I was going to skip buying anything but my husband suggested I get a smoothie (mostly so he could have some). Ding ding ding! I got the berry one and o-m-g that thing was capital D delicious. I could drink one of those every day. The board said it's almond milk, flax seed, strawberries, blueberries, and açai. Sooooooo goooood. I inhaled that thing (little brain freeze, still good, still good). I would literally come back and get this smoothie again, especially since it's only a few blocks from my house! As the off-brand Terminator says, I will return!

Wow, what a find! This is a lovely family oriented cafe with indoor and outdoor seating that we found on Yelp after dropping our kids to Saturday German school in the area. I had the Manhattan (their version of Lox & Bagel - fresh and well put together!!) and my wife had the Soy delish. I ordered the red eye for coffee and this was also the best coffee I've had in 2 years. We are fans of this place. 1) Ingredients were fresh, 2) they've figured out the little things in food presentation - everything was put together well, 3) the vibe is comfortable and caring/homely! We will be back!

The restaurant has inside seating for 40 guests and outside for 30. We arrived between breakfast and lunchtime and were able to get the last outside table. The attentive staff got us seated right away, and after browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items (arrived in 15 minutes) : Marine: The buckwheat outer layer was soft, not soggy, and with nice resistance. The light creamy tomato-based dressing with sliced mushrooms was pleasantly flavorful. Both shrimp and scallops were of good size, fresh and juicy. Fromage: Like Marine Crepe, the buckwheat out layer was soft. The mild brie cheese provided pleasant creaminess to the filling. Seasoned bacon, scrambled egg, onion, and mushroom added nice savoriness to the dish. The portions were sensible and the prices were reasonable. Very nice culinary experience.

First the food size is becoming ridiculous (au gratin potatoes so small) The service is where I'm shocked, the waiting staff turnover is crazy. I was there last Sunday evening (05/24) and one of the waiter with a French accent looks like he just started that day, he was clueless about the menu, didn't know what was the soup of the day, and very inattentive to our table (water refill, empty plates...) like he just wanted our tips ! Also I'm sorry about that one but he had a foul smell like he just finished working out... the table next to us was saying the same thing. I came back on Friday (05/29)early afternoon and seen the same waiter still no refill and same foul smell Im going to try their other locations in PV or Hermosa and see if I'm lucky and they're like that location used to be

After two nice spritz's I attempted to use the restroom only to be stopped by a server. She asked what I was trying to do and when I said simply use the restroom, she replied, "no it's for customers only." It was odd because we just spent nearly $70 there right next to where she was working, dressed like all the other beach goers that day. She said "oh" and let me go with no kindness or apology. No clue how I was identified, and it felt very profiled. But just left me feeling weird and not like I want to go back there or recommend it to anyone. In summary: Drinks and food was fine. One staff member was great. The vibe that server gave me ruined my day.

They have seating on the patio and inside with both tables and booths or at the bar. The decor is fun with bright vibrant colors and picturesque walls. Food was decent, though basic and (see picture of Truffle Fries, they should have spent a few more seconds in the fryer to get at least a little golden and have some crispiness rather than blanched and lackluster). The Machaca Scramble was the most flavorful and best tasting dish we had at our table as the corned beef hash and eggs were standard (not bad but nothing to Yelp rave about). By far the best part was the Bottomless Mimosas which are offered everyday, not just on the weekends! Big bonus! Our server was attentive and had a happy disposition. I felt Serendipity has so much great potential, between the decor, service and bottomless mimosas I'd imagine they would have more birthdays or group celebrations going on, especially for such a large space. But the vibe was a bit off with the low playing Spanish music, I would imagine if they had more pop music or upbeat music to fit the vibe of the place they'd have more of a fun vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with Spanish music, it just wasn't jiving with the vibe of the place and was so low and not so up beat (romantic Spanish ballads were playing). The laminated menus also gave an old diner vibe instead of trendy "serendipity" vibe. I'll still come back to see if they can match the vibe to the decor and try a few other menu items, but I do hope they up the ambiance. And get that extra star status!
