I signed up for Edge a few months back after being sold for a '$99 plan'. I misread this to mean per year but apparently, it was just $99 for the first service and then $154/quarter thereafter. I'll take the responsibility for not understanding the terms of the contract better. The rep had numerous opportunities to clarify, though, after I repeatedly asked the questions. Chalk one up to carelessness for me. They applied the first spray while I was at home and covered the outside of the house. After a while, I definitely saw fewer pests - good job! A couple more times they called me to let me know that they would come by to the house. It didn't matter to them whether anyone would be home or not and that was key; someone needs to open the gates to allow entrance to the back of the house and complete the job. But they just stuck to the schedule that they were on regardless of my schedule. When they showed up, they only inspected the front side of the house (because the gate was locked disallowing entrance to the back) so I consider this only half the job complete. I did some research and decided that I could easily spend 30 minutes per quarter and spray my house myself. That combined with the bad customer service I'd been seeing, I decided to call Edge and cancel service. They told me I was responsible for 50% of the remaining contract and I agreed that I would pay that. They then told me that all their reps were too busy to take my call to cancel my contract and collect payment. I told them that they don't need to talk to me to cancel. Take my money and complete the cancellation and then send me the receipt. They refused. The actual spray seems to work just fine. However, the continually bad, unreceptive customer service of the company has led to lots of regrets. I can't recommend them. read more

So many spiders! I got rid of my reliable pest control company for Edge PCS. They told me there would be increase spider activity for a while but it's been 3 months and I keep seeing larger and larger creepy crawlers in my House. I even called for additional service, which they promptly provided (hence 2 stars); however, they are still charging on. These spiders are so large and frequent now I may give them names. So far, this product doesn't work. Aside from the aggressive sales reps (which I respect) I'm upset I gave up my trusty pest control company (Why-U-Bugging - Fountain, CO) for this and now I've sold my soul. What a scam! When we signed up for the service we though it was only for a year, come to find out its 2 years (our fault also for not reading the fine print). At that time we requested the account be closed when the contract was over. Was told no problem once the contract was over the service would be over. They just came out for a service and I called to find out when the contract was over, as I thought it should have already been completed. They said that the contract was over but since i didn't call back in they just continue the service. Was never told i had to call back because believe me i would have to make sure it was canceled. DON'T HIRE THEM. Hire Ecora Pest Control instead. We've had rat problems for a year in our attic and they got in our walls and into our house. We needed an aggressive solution and the phone rep said they would take care of it. Whether it was setting traps or getting into the walls they would get the job done. So here are my specific issues I ran into: 1. The phone rep said an agent would come out and inspect our entire property. Well, he didn't. He didn't even go into half of our attic. And when I showed him the spot they were getting into our house, he sort of looked at me with a "oh crap this is going to be a lot of work" look. So then he said, "well let's just focus on the attic." NOT HELPFUL. The rats were getting into our living space so I needed that taken care of. 2. They have you sign up for service for a year (monthly visits). I wanted to give them a chance in case other agents had different work ethic and would get us taken care of. Well, NOPE. Essentially what they did was come out for 10 minutes to re-bait the yard bait stations (I can do that!) and look through the attic. Whenever I would tell them they were getting into our house, they would do the same thing as the 1st agent. 3. I got tired of their lack of care and service so I kept having them come out whenever I'd hear a sound in my walls from rat activity. When they would come out they would just sort of look at me confused and do anything they could to avoid having to exert anymore energy or time into our problem (hence, they didn't stand by their contractual agreement). And also didn't live up to the word the sales agent gave me about "going into the walls when we need to". Y'all needed to months ago! So I cancelled my service and hired Ecora Pest Control and they're amazing. They've already gone into the walls and are taking much more aggressive action toward the problem to make sure it is solved and we don't have to deal with rats again. When we initially agreed to the 18mth contract with Edge Pest Control, it was with a representative that had caught my husband as he was pulling into the garage after work. That morning, I had a spider crawl over my foot and run so quickly that "i lost it". If you are afraid of spiders and have ever "lost" one, you will understand how upset I was. After signing the contract, they had someone come out that night (within 2 hours!) and spray the entire house. It took about 60-75 minutes to get the entire outside and inside. Because they were "breaking the hatching cycle", they had to come back six weeks later as well. Then every three months. We had negotiated an 18 month contract instead of two years as they would not allow a one year contract and I did not want to be stuck with the service if it was something that was not useful for us. The cost was approx $40 per month ($120 per quarter). The initial spray was great. They spent a good deal of time on the house and worked on "breaking the hatching cycle" (this is a phrase that they use constantly). The issues came after that. Almost every time they sprayed, I had to call within a couple of weeks and ask them to come out and "re-spray" (this is a service that is offered as part of their contract [you are paying for it as part of the monthly fee]). It has been extremely frustrating having to call them over and over and over and have them respray because I continue to see spiders. When they do come to spray between the first visit (a year and a half ago) and June of this year - it takes them less than 5 minutes to spray the entire property. In June - at the re-service (more of my time wasted as i had to call and ask for a re-service) - the gentleman told me that he had got two bees nests and spent time spraying multiple areas of activity. Turns out that for the past year and a half - they haven't actually been spraying the yard and have been barely spraying the house.... $120 per quarter and they haven't been doing their job?!? REALLY??? He took over 45 minutes and sprayed the entire perimeter. That had not been done since the initial spray. In the past week I have had two spider sacs and five spiders (2 in the house). This is unacceptable. For a home that is five years old and has an active pest control contract - this should not be happening. This morning I called Edge to cancel my service. I had finished my 18 month contract and as I am not satisfied with the product that is used and continue to have spiders (in a five year old house) I wanted my service cancelled. I spent more than 30 minutes on the phone to multiple reps (as the customer service associates have to transfer you to an escalation specialist if you want to cancel). He was so aggressive and pushy - he would not let me cancel my service - he just continued to tell me that he would have a manager come out and review the property to see why I continued to have spiders (why was this not done one of the many times that I called asking for re-services?!?). I felt like he would not let me say anything and was trained to continue talking after I said "no". Finally I got him off the phone when I told him that I wanted the manager out here today or I wanted my account cancelled and my credit card not charged again (remember I am out of contract and am able to cancel at any time). He was supposed to call me back immediately after talking to the manager. I went into my online account and it was locked out. I called back in to the customer service rep and she was so very nice. She let her manager know that I could not access my account and that I wanted to cancel. He called me back quickly and told me that he would cancel and send an email confirmation. I am still waiting for that email confirmation. But he was very polite and agreed to letting me cancel. My concern is that I should not have had to waste ANOTHER hour on the phone today begging to have my account cancelled. To be completely honest- I would not recommend Edge to anyone. Their customer service reps are very friendly but aggressive and pushy. Their product is not working for my home. I should not have had to call back so many times before they "reviewed the property to see why I continue to see activity". This is unacceptable. read more

I spoke with a sales person about my issue which is a wasp nest inside my vent pipe on my roof. Two people came out and told me they could not get on my roof because the company insurance doesn't cover employees going on the roof. The employees left with no service provided. It took forever to get a customer service agent on the phone again to ensure that I would not be charged. Please inform your sales team that you apparently do not remove wasp nests from roofs. read more

The second visit was an 8-minute "drop in" treatment and the technician wrote up "Customer Refused" for most of the items - which was completely untrue. I would not recommend this business. They were completely unreliable, unprofessional and did not take care of the rodent problem we have had for the past several years. We had a 2 year contract with them and still to this day we have a problem. They never knew where they had set traps, nor where they placed bait stations. Dead rodents remained in traps for long periods of time. They did NO rodent exclusion work even though they said they would. Do not even call them! They are unreliable, disorganized, and didn't show up. I went through several phone calls to set up service and arranged to have them come. They said they would be here on Monday between 8:00 am and noon and they would call when they were on their way. At 11:45 I had not received a call. When I called the company, they asked for all of my contact information again. They had some of it and some of it was wrong. They said there was a glitch in the system and my service was not set up. Today Dean and Sean came because although my contractor removed one dead rat from under my house the smell still existed so I called them out again ! This time they gathered 3 Dead rats! These guys went beyond the call of duty to help show me where in my skirting I need to put pea gravel to prevent further entrance and even applied caulking in some areas! It would have been nice if the company educated the customers that there may or may not be a possibility of rats dying back inside the home after eating the bait placed outside the home. which is EXACTLY what happened to us!!! KAYDEN was our Pest Control Operator (PCO) and placed a few rocks at the suspected point of "rat" entry. The rocks did NOTHING to prevent the Rats from reentering our home after eating the rat bait placed outside. When asked why the rocks were placed by the bottom of foundation wall, KAYDEN replied; "It was to help confirm the rats were entering there if the rocks had moved at all." Wow-Genius! Now we have been living with a horrible dead Rat smell for over 3 weeks now!!!! Thanks EDGE! We have to do a complete demo of the basement to remove all the dead rats and nests, etc... We hired 2 other professional Pest Control Companies that came out to inspect the problem and FINALLY found that the Rats had been digging underneath the foundation and entering up through the walls (pictures where provided for proof) . The Seattle Office manager, Justice, was the most unprofessional human being that I've ever delt with! very RUDE, IMMATURE, & DISMISSIVE person. This is the worst company I have ever used for rodent control. They sent technicians out who used a lighter as a flash light in my attic. They continuously forgot ladders and made us go get ours rather then coming back when they retrieved one. They never actually set the rat traps in the attic then told me When asking what they could do in order to fix these issues, I talked to corporate many times and they would say "oh here's $20". Considering I'm spending close to $1000 it's offensive. When I tried to cancel they wanted to charge me $280. I do not recommend using this company ever. read more

This is a very shady company. Make sure to read your agreement. They charge about 140 per visit. The guy literally spends less than 5 minutes at your place and gone. I was skeptical of Edge based on some of the Yelp reviews, but they've done a pretty good job on my complicated rat issue. Kaden, who leads the office, is especially responsive and seems to really go the extra mile to make sure customers are happy. We have had disappointing results with some of the people on follow-up visits not knowing the specific issues of our house and seeming not too interested in learning them, but every time Kaden has been involved, we've gotten A+ service. read more

The initial service was great. The first rep was friendly and informative. However, the next service, the rep was in and out probably within 5 mins and didn't give us a chance to talk to her to confirm everything we asked to be done. We also asked them to bring a ladder, but the last couple services, they kept saying they forgot and will come back but never came back with one. Very frustrating. I also don't recall signing up for ONE year service nor knew about the additional charge for quarterly visit. My contract said only 3 months. I called to complain about their lack of communication, bad service, not fulfilling customer need, and to cancel my services. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck with them until my contract is up. Claimed to be doing work "for a neighbor" and then named the neighbor....except I know of no neighbor by that name that lives anywere near here. And when I told him I wasn't interested, he persisted and started asking me what types of pests I've been seeing. First, don't send solicitors around door to door in the middle of a pandemic. Second, if I tell him I'm not interested, train him to walk away! Not keep talking and trying to sell me things. Wish I would have read these reviews before answering the door. I too, was contacted by this company after I initiated a request through Angi. I immediately received a call from Edge. I explained my need for rodent removal. The inital guy who came out, introduced himself at the door, then handed me the contract, and said he couldn't come in until it was signed. (First mistake) I had already explained my need for rodent trapping/removal over the phone, but repeated that need again to tech as I signed... AFTER I signed, he informed me that I would have repeated visits for insect control (I had no interest in this product), at which point I was told that was included with the rodent entrapment. But later, he told me I would be charged quarterly each time the company came out to "spray" for insects... Long story short~ they didn't do anything for the rat in my wall, telling me after the fact, that their policy forbids employees to move appliances or cut into walls. My wife was being bitten in her sleep by some sort of invisible bug. Edge was contacted to determine if we had fleas, or some other insect. When the Edge Technician came out, he could find no evidence of either fleas, or bedbugs. He contacted his supervisor who told him that "it must be bedbugs because they are sometimes translucent." They sprayed for bedbugs. Subsequently, we had a bedbug sniffing dog come out to see if she could detect any bedbugs. She could not. When we first had Edge service for bedbugs, they insisted that we sign a contract for three spraying sessions. Based on what the Edge technician and his supervisor told us, we signed the contract. After i found out that we did not have bedbugs, I tried to get Edge to cancel the contract. We were forced to pay Edge $750 to treat fro non-existent bedbugs! read more

These people came door to door in our neighborhood and while we'd been unhappy with our previous company, we thought we'd take a chance. Supposedly they did a full inspection of our home and rental house, then set us up for a treatment program. Several months later we found we had a huge rodent problem in our rental house and had to spend $14,000 to a real company to remedy it. Edge says we still owe them for the balance of our 2 years of treatment program. Getting threatening calls from their billing dept, even when their customer service people tell us they've closed our account and no further obligations. They want us to continue paying them even after they missed such a huge problem and need for repairs. They suck. No stars read more

heir salesman came to my house to sell their service. I asked if their service cover termite control and i got a confirmation. I told him I only want 1 year first. After the initial service, I got a mail from them about next service time. I followed the link and navigated to their website and I realized that they don't provide termite control(they provide ants control but termite are not ants though called white ants normally). So I called them and asked if they provide termite control and I didn't get direct answers. I told them that I ordered the wrong service and I wanted to cancel the service. I was told I'll have to pay over 600$ as early termination fee. I was even shocked that I actually booked 2-year service because I told the salesman I only wanted 1 year service first. Heard this pounding on the door and it's Edge sale person. I have "No Soliciting" on my door and I do have a door bell! I don't know if they have solicitor license that is required by the city and even if they do, they are not supposed to knock on my door. Here is the city code for the Edge company in case you don't know: 4.12.065 Soliciting and peddling restrictions. All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject to the following time and location restrictions: B. No peddler or solicitor shall engage or attempt to engage in the business of peddling at any home, residence, apartment complex or business that prominently displays a "No Peddlers" or "No Solicitors" sign or any other similar sign that communicates the occupants' desire to not be contacted by peddlers. read more

I used them for 2 years and I never had any issues. They would send me a text reminding me when they were coming out and then would give me a call letting me know when they would be here. If I had a concern, they would address it right away. I never saw anything other than a fruit fly in my home. I am sad to leave them, but they are not in the new area I am moving to. read more

I looked up reviews on other sites and hired them .. they were prompt and the technicians came and installed the mole baits in our backyard. The baits did'nt work at all and didn t solve our problem. We felt that it after the first few appointments they lost interest and wouldn t even bother when we pointed out new mole colonies. When we called up customer service and asked that we would like to cancel our service since there we were seeing zero improvement in our pest problem, we got a response of thats not how it works and you will be charged no matter how bad our service is. We understand that we can t get a 100% solution, but how you treat your customers reflects the core values of your business. We would have appreciated a simple we re sorry it isn't working, what can we do to make it better? But we were made to feel like it was all our fault.. We re still stuck with one more service since their cancellation fee is unbelievable. We re hoping there is no loophole after that where we have to go through legal action in order to end the contract. read more

Well my experience with the techs was awkward. I talked with a person on the phone to set up appointment for a free quote. First they told me I had a gopher problem. Then they called their boss and was told it was rats or ground squirrels. They wanted me to pay them to get started. All I wanted was a quote. I felt awkward and upset about the whole thing. Buyer beware: I was on Edge pest service and noticed rodent activity and called them. They came out and found fresh rat activity in my crawlspace. It was $400 additional to sign a rodent contract. In addition they gave me a $6600 estimate to clean out my crawl space because "it was really bad." I said I would get a few estimates because that was expensive so the guy offered a $1000 discount because "it's a competitive space." All the other estimates I received were around $2000 from the top crawlspace companies. The other companies also said the activity was new and not that bad. Each estimator asked me how long it had been since the traps were checked? I said a couple days and they said there were dead rats in the space longer than a week. I called Edge and they sent someone out again because obviously the person that visited before didn't empty the traps. Edge has not been out to the property again and I have more dead rats in traps that are disintegrating. I've called and sent a message through their website, and got a call back from someone who left a number that did not work. I called a couple more times and finally got frustrated because I never could get through to a manager (if you ask for one the person who you are talking to will tell you they are one) until I asked to terminate my contract. Finally, I got to speak to a manager but honestly, it's a little late at this point. When I told him about the $6600 quote to clean up my crawlspace compared to others, he stood by that and said that the quality of materials they use is way better than everyone else. I'm not sure because the line items on the quote are exactly the same and I spoke to one of my friends who is a contractor and he said there isn't much difference in vapor barrier. The line item with the most difference was in "removal of vapor barrier/insulation" and that was $2800 vs around $1000 for the other companies. I don't know how the quality of removal can be 3x better? To exclude entry points it was $900 with Edge and $175 with the company I went with. Edge used screen and the company I hired used cement. ? You decide. I asked the Edge manager to apply the remaining visits on my rodent plan to my pest control contract but was told no. So, I have to pay another $240 to terminate poor service with this company. Edge receives good google ratings because they constantly solicit ratings after each appointment. So one customer could rate like 4 times a year. Probably helps buffer situations like these. read more

I called this service because we heard something digging in our attic. During the sales process they told us they would thoroughly inspect the attic. The first person that came looked up in the attic and saw a trap that was set by a service about 3 years ago. He said that the trap had bait and he couldn't see any droppings so nothing was there. He set traps in the crawl space and bait in the backyard and left. I called the office and left a message to maybe send someone smaller who can get up in the attic. I never received a response. The person who came the next week for the follow up didn't even talk to me. He asked my son who was mowing the lawn if we heard anything. He said he didn't. So, the Edge guy walked around the house and left. I called the office again to complain that no one went in the attic. They then told me they don't go into attics. I say what?!?! Why would I have a company that doesn't go into the attic come to service a problem in my attic!!!. The last company we had do this service went all over the place in the attic!! DON'T USE THIS SERVICE!!! Pardon the pun but they do a complete bait and switch!! Pass on this one, it's a worthless service. read more
