I'm glad we got there at a fairly early hour, because there was already a big line and after we and the person after us ordered, a sign was put out that they were Sold Out!!! So get here early and be prepared to wait. They are short staffed and we waited a little over 45 minutes. We didn't mind the wait, but what is silly is that people who ordered and were waiting for their food took up the two tables that they have, while people who had gotten their meals and needed to sit, were not able to! This is not the restaurant's fault, but to prevent rude, inconsiderate people from doing this, maybe a sign by the tables that you need to be eating to sit down??? Anyway, the food was pretty good! I think foodies in general always look for that special something that makes a place rad, and shackiness is definitely up at the top. It's basically why your ratings are so high despite your food. So to be clear, I like the shacky feel. (You don't have a food truck btw, as it has no motor. You have a trailer if you want to be technical, but I didn't bother to confirm if it can actually be towed and move.) Your rating is based on your food alone. (Also you should note: Yelp has a special category for "food trucks" and removes the address from your yelp page. It would also have "food truck" displayed. Your listing has an address and does not show food truck as a category, so at least according to Yelp you are not a food truck.) Keep the shack. That's good. 11-4-22 If you ever wanted to eat at a shack, well this is a 8 out of 10 on shackiness. For one it's made out of aluminum not wood. And secondly of course that means it's not rotting. But otherwise it's pretty shacky. Yes a shack at the end of a large parking lot that only sells breakfast. There are 2 medium sized benches but they would at most fit 4 small groups. There was a huge line of people though, so someone's not gonna be sitting. (Btw it took 30min to get our food, sooo......) 1. BLT $14: Soooo just gonna say we found 2x 1cm cubes of tomato. The aioli is extremely strong, easily the strongest garlic flavor I've ever had in aioli (in a good way), but unfortunately that didn't help the lettuce sandwich. 3/10 3. Pancake Sticks $10: THIS is it. You get this. It will make you happy. Maybe enough to ignore the rest of your crappy food. No, they aren't sticks (yeah, get used to nothing here being correct.). They are basically big balls of fried dough. Super oily. Super hot. Crisp. Looked burnt but didn't taste it. Absolutely rocks. 8/10 4. Country Potatoes on a Stick $6: This would be like the spiral fried potatoes you see at fairs, except this one is inedible. Fried too long and hard, and tasted burnt. Couldn't eat it. 1/10 5. Imua Coffee $3 with Macademia Nut Milk: I'm not sure which flavors come from the milk vs from the coffee but there's for sure a lot going on. We were staying in Princeville and was looking for a good breakfast and saw the good reviews for this food truck. There are choke chicks in the area here! Aka baby chickens! The chicken was dry in the chicken and waffles. I think if they were to keep the chicken while then the juices would flow better. They waffle was average and really didn't stand out. As for the French Toast pancake sticks, those were amazing! Highly recommended someone to get these!!! Very tasty and flavorful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND EATING THIS! The French Toast side was yummy as well! They really have their breakfast foods down. It was yummy and really enjoyed our visits. Since it was the morning there was lots of parking and no wait when we came. My girlfriend and I ordered two burritos, the Kadence and Mila, which I believe are named after two of their four children. I thought the Mila was a bit bland by itself but with the salsa verde it tasted good. My girlfriend thought the Kadence was slightly on the salty side. The garlic aioli went well with both burritos. Service here was excellent. It was busy and we were quoted 20-25 minute wait, which we didn't mind however the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Way over hyped. Nice website and story. Wanted to support local families. Had French toast sandwich, potato sticks, hot coffee, breakfast burritto. Syrup was the plasticky thick cold kind like we ate as kids, not real maple, French toast was bland, dry, barely lukewarm and not flavorful, the sausage and bacon were inedible. Eggs were flat and bland (not fluffy or scrambled). Potatoes were overcooked, dry and so crisp they were more like a stale chip, My daughter threw out her burrito after a few bites as I did with the coffee. (Not the owners fault) but the chickens were aggressively attacking everyone, flying up on the table and eating everyone's food. Now I know why our surf instructor told us to skip this one. Best meal I've had on the island over the past week! Easy to find spot. They got a couple of nice long tables under cover to help protect from rain or sun. Ordering was easy and the wait was not very long at all. We ordered the egg Benedict for my husband and I to share and it was more then enough of food. I knew this place was going to be great when there was a line 20 min before they opened! We had The eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, French toast and The pancake sandwich. Everybody in the house was very happy with the dishes! It was really sweet to see this family owned small business doing great. Be aware that they do have notes around the trailer to be patient. Wife and I are on vacation in Princeville. Today is our last full day on the island. We decided to try out Saenz Ohana Breakfast as we love our food trucks in SoCal. We are writing this review within an hour of getting our food to go and sitting down at our resort to eat. I ordered the the Noelle breakfast burrito; my wife ordered the French toast pancake sticks; and I got country potatoes on a stick for both of us. We understand the higher price of high-quality food truck food but for $14 you wouldn't expect my burrito to have burned eggs in it. I honesty couldn't taste anything else in the burrito cause the eggs were so burned. Yes those are eggs in that picture, not pancakes. Anyone who knows my wife, knows that she likes her breakfast sweets: pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc. However, there was too much breading on the French toast and it was extremely greasy, leading me to believe that the fryer was not hot enough. I've never seen her not finish breakfast sweets like this and her stomach is already starting to hurt her. We were going to come back before they closed at 1pm if we were still hungry, which obviously we are now, but that's no longer going to happen. We are going to try The Spot in the Princeville Center instead. I think the worst thing is he knows he burned the eggs and instead of taking 2 minutes to scramble some new ones, he sent it out burned. I get it, family owner and operated and every dollar matters but customer satisfaction above everything else. Overall, too expensive for the low-quality execution we received. Burned eggs and oily deep fried food wouldn't be acceptable anywhere. Had we eaten there, I would have asked them to remake both our food or for a refund. At this point, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE: Owner was very quick to react to my review. However, owner did not just straight apologize for messing up order. Anytime someone says 'I'm sorry BUT..." it's not a true apology. Owner turned to blaming me for not calling to correct the order and for 'bashing him and his family' and bringing down 'our 5-star.' At no point did he say we could come back to get it resolved, even though they are open for another hour. Also, if you look through the reviews, there are plenty other reviews that are not 5-stars. At no point did I bash him or his family. I am making a comment on the food, quality and execution. Burned food should never go out on a plate. The only person responsible for that is the chef. Conclusion: now just as disappointed in the customer service as we were in the food. read more

Absolutely phenomenal. If you only eat out once on Kauai, this is the place. We basically had a repeat order of our visit last year and it didn't disappoint. The kalua pork benedict is delicious and the 1/2 order was definitely filling. Portion sizes are beyond generous. The egg is perfectly poached, hollandaise is on point, the micro greens help to balance the savoriness of the pork, and the English muffin was incredible. The potato was crisp but well cooked and fantastic dipped in some hollandaise. Once again, I need a rest after (almost) finishing my meal; a bit of pork is coming home in a to go container. Our daughter made it through nearly one gigantic pancake and took the 2nd to go as well. For basically the same price as a shave ice visit, this is an amazing value for breakfast, especially considering that you'll likely get a meal and a half (or 2) out of your order. We sat in the shade at a picnic table to eat; overall ambiance is chill and service is friendly and quick given that it's made to order. They also have juice drinks and coffee available. My only suggestion is that they could think about selling the English Muffins in a to go pack because they are *that* good. read more

This is a really good breakfast place! They serve until the time posted, or until they sell out. I had a vegetable omelet that was the best I'd ever had, and it was even topped with an edible flower. My husband had a breakfast burrito which was stuffed full of eggs, linguica and sausage. Service is friendly and efficient. There were whole families here eating heartily (Including us). I confess I do like the roosters roaming about but appreciate the signs asking you do not feed the roosters. If you need to drink coffee with your breakfast though, I think get it at KTA (CBTL). They do have drinks in coolers. I do think this is much better than going to Hanalei. Oh the only thing is - I had assumed I was going to receive a slice of ube toast with the omelet and didn't but I may have misunderstood. Best breakfast on island HANDS DOWN. To be honest, they're some of the best eggs benedict I've ever had! Definitely the most beautiful eggs benedict I've ever had for sure. Once you live here, you definitely do not drive much living in the southside. I don't always get to go to the North Shore but I went today. I had not been in over a couple of years and it definitely did not disappoint... I had the veggie burrito with a stick of fried potatoes and it was delicious. You cannot order ahead of time anymore but don't let that discourage you even as busy as they were. My order was done fairly quickly. It's a food truck tucked away in a parking lot behind the Hanalei fire station. I ordered the Juan breakfast burrito, pesto avocado toast and the country potatoes on a stick. The burrito had a great kick from the chorizo and jalapeño and the homemade hot sauce was a perfect top off. The avocado toast was a bit bland for my tasting and the avocado was not mashed into a spread like I am accustomed to. I really enjoyed the potato on a stick! The owner was very friendly and quick making the orders. Although there was a bit of a crowd, he was able to help everyone efficiently. If it wasn't for the avocado toast being a slight let down, I would have given 5 stars. I would definitely give it another shot and try another dish the next time I visit the island! read more

The burritos are huge and full of tasty goodness. One can easily feed two people. I had The Local, which is described as having Kalua pig, Portuguese sausage, bacon, avocado, tomato, and garlic, and two scrambled eggs. I looked for it, but could find no avocado. There are menu items that are not listed on the web site. For instance, my wife had the Kadence, containing Kalua pork, cilantro, garlic and eggs, which she liked too. My one complaint about these is that they are essentially a scramble with everything mixed together. Some of the best breakfast burritos I've had do away with the homogeneity and have things like a separate dollop of chorizo, chopped onions, and cilantro over the eggs rather than mixed in. This allows each ingredient to be more distinct and the flavor and texture is better. Just a suggestion. I was still very happy with what we had. read more
