I have had a difficult time finding decent sushi in Cape Cod...no lie. It's seems fried fish is all New Englanders understand. This place is a little difficult to find. Tucked in a strip mall with the back of the restaurant facing the main highway, you'll have to put in a little effort. I was greeted right away! The service was spot on. The sushi was really good and the pricing was good too. My date ordered gyoza (he's not a sushi fan) and it was delish. They have some super interesting dishes and I can't wait to try them all... I however was craving basic sashimi so that is what I ordered. It was fresh and well prepared. I'll be back for sure and try some of their fusion dishes like the lamb... hmmm. oh how I love crossing a restaurant off of my bookmark list. came to saga fusion for a quick lunch this afternoon. I was surprised by the small restaurant only offering around 10 tables altogether. luckily, we were the only people here so seated immediately and served quickly. our server was friendly, efficient and on top of table maintenance. I ordered a blue Hawaii cocktail which was very tasty and large compared to the same drink at other Asian style restaurants. It was on the pricier side @ $9.00 but seemed worth it in my opinion. for sushi, I opted for the 2 roll lunch special (only $12.00) which included miso soup, house salad, and your choice of many different maki rolls. I noticed many other reasonable offerings on the lunch menu that I suggest taking advantage of. I ordered the peanut avocado and the spicy crunch yellowtail roll. the peanut avocado was delicious and unique. I love this roll but it can be hard to find! I was excited to see it on the menu. the spicy yellowtail was missing the crunch that was advertised on the menu, but the fish tasted very fresh. I was happy with my choices. we did order the sushi wrapped in brown rice. although there is an upcharge, I like having the choice. will definitely come back to try specialty rolls! read more

Finally tried out Saga Fusion for lunch! They make up for being such a small place (and having such a small parking lot) by packing in big flavour and portions. Since there were 6 of us, our efficient if not friendly waiter sat us at a rather oddly set up wraparound banquette. Definitely had plenty of room! The presentation is perfect. I had the lunch shrimp teriyaki bento box with fried rice, which came with miso soup, ginger salad, 5-6 good sized shrimp, a generous serving of lightly sautéed hibachi-style vegetables, a 6-piece California roll, a 3-piece shumai, and a cute little half orange. Everything tasted excellent. Despite looking bland, the fried rice packed a lot of flavour since its cooked hibachi-style in the kitchen. After splitting the bill and accounting for one hibachi entree, a sushi lunch special, and a pot of tea, with tip it ended up at $24/pp. Not a budget lunch by any means, but I wasn't hungry for 8 hours after! read more

This is a temporary three stars. This place has potential, they just opened a few weeks ago and have some kinks to work out. The food is great so far; sushi is fresh and the portions are generous. They also offer udon noodles which are basically non existent anywhere else on the cape so thats a huge plus by itself. I also tried the fried softshell crab which I do not recommend. It might be me but the "edible" shell doesn't do it for me. I ended up using a fork to root for the small amount of meat. The atmosphere tries to be modern but with ultra dim lighting, no windows and wall to wall tiles it falls a bit short and reminds me of a bathroom a bit. (I don't want to come off as bashing, this is just a first impression.) They have a sushi bar along side the proper bar which I love! Watching a sushi chef is hypnotizing every time. It's magic at the end of a knife. Now, I don't like to complain often but I cannot ignore this glaring drawback to an otherwise great start and this is my reason for the temporary three stars. The hostess/slash bartender. She ignores everyone and does not even acknowledge customers when they walk in. Both times we stood there for well over five minutes with other patrons and no one asked us anything: do you want to sit, are you picking up, nothing. I'm pretty sure this is not how a new business should start and tonight we ended up leaving without ordering anything for that reason alone. Saga fusion really needs to address this issue right now as i'm sure i'm not the only one bothered by this. Parking is decent but has been near or totally full pretty steady. Overall, everything is clean and brand new and I look forward to upping my stars as I continue to frequent this burgeoning fusion restaurant. 4/23/15:(added two stars to the original three) Happy to report the kinks have been worked out. All my previous gripes have been corrected. (As if my review turned them around. Jeez I'm self centered.) The atmosphere has grown on me and I think they turned the lights up a bit. Everything is so flavorful. Having a cold the last couple weeks my son and hubby would bring me high protein soups that I like. It's the most flavorful broth/stock I've ever had. It's not water with bouillon thickened with cornstarch!! This is the real deal....bones simmered for awhile to extract all the chicken flavor, nutrients and collagen. This is, almost shockingly, some of the best sushi I've ever had. I live in Los Angeles and come from New York City, both known for great sushi, and yet this unassuming oasis in Marstons Mills stands out among the pack in an impressive and extremely satisfying way. The wait staff are all friendly and wonderful, there was never a wait in terms of service, and our food came very quickly. We had miso soup (standard and comforting), a couple of basic Alaska and tuna rolls (both excellent in their own simplicity, made with very fresh fish), and a few special rolls: the Hot Babe, Pink Lady, and White Snow rolls. Each roll tasted complex and beautiful, with large amounts of - again - very fresh fish. Definitely got our stomachs' worth and our money's worth!
