I was lucky to win a $50 gift card to Saiga through Yelp. Thank you!! I would have never known about this place if it wasn't for them. Unfortunately, their hours do not work with my schedule. Monday - Friday, 10 - 2. They are catering to the Irvine lunch crowd and I respect that, but I work in Anaheim, so I was like, how will I ever get there?? My boss was very kind to grant me a 1/2 day on Friday so we could redeem my winning. I was advised to call ahead 20 minutes to place the order, which we did. It ended up taking about 30 minutes, and that was fine. Nestled in a business center, this is a takeout only place, with cute decor in their small interior. Everybody we talked to was super nice and friendly. We ended up ordering some drinks when we were there, so our total came to $53. Perfect! We both had garlic noodles, his with filet, mine with crispy pork belly. We also got orders of popcorn chicken and egg rolls. For drinks, I had a Pineapple Black Tea and he had Mint Lemonade. My car smelled SO good on the drive home, I couldn't wait to eat! We both loved everything! Garlic noodles had a nice chew, filet was melt in your mouth tender, pork belly was SUPER crispy and had a slight cinnamon flavor to it. Popcorn chicken and egg rolls were both tasty, and we loved their somewhat spicy green aioli served with everything. Portions were big, we had enough for lunch today too. Even though it is not possible for me to get lunch from here, my husband said he will gladly drive down there on his lunch break to pick up food for us again. Yay! Just discovered this place not too long ago by my work and my coworkers and I love the pork belly banh mi. We've ordered it multiple times since trying it. The pork belly is so crispy and the bread is crunchy on the outside while still being soft (so it never cuts up the roof of your mouth like other French breads, haha). This little hidden gem in Irvine served up some amazing food. Ordering is easy through a kiosk. The food comes out packaged in take out boxes. There are a few tables in the restaurant for eating and some patio chairs outside. We ordered the pork banh mi, garlic noodles and pork belly, Thai tea and lychee lemonade. The banh mi was flavorful and had the perfect amount of meat. The garlic noodles and pork belly was my favorite. The pork was so crunchy yet still juicy. There's a green sauce for your noodles which was absolutely addicting. The Thai tea here was legit, on the level of any boba shop. I also tried their Thai tea that was not good to me at all, it had a very powerful floral taste to it that I couldn't get past. But overall this new place was good food wise. A tiny eatery with a handful of chairs it seems they primarily do take out. There is a self service kiosk to place your order - it's easy to customize your Banh mi or bowl. Tried out the predomintary takeout concept Saiga this June 2021. Great flavor for a quick grab and go spot but with lots of great patio seating just one minute away in the same circle lot with umbrellas large comfy seating. Came here to try a little of everything they make on the menu. Garlic Steak Bowl Pork Belly Banh Mi Garlic Noodles with BBQ Chicken Combination Pho Side of Nuoc Cham Side of Pate Gravy Side of green aioli The steak here is unique as it is a premium filet mignon cut along with the bbq chicken. The portions are decent along with the packaging and temperature of the food was perfect. I would definitely recommend the filet mignon as it is not common. The sauces are flavorful and complements well with the food. If you're in the Irvine area and want a picnic or on the go option this is worth a try. Really enjoyed the garlic noodles and grilled pork bowl. The challenge with garlic noodles is finding that right balance of garlic taste that isn't too overwhelming or underwhelming. This was just right for me. And while other places also feel overwhelming with an oily texture with these kinds of dishes, I didn't feel that way with Saiga's garlic noodles; a little hidden gem in corporate office region of Irvine. Pork was flavorful and not dry. And finally, the lychee lemonade was so good and went well with my bowl of garlic noodles. I also got their frozen microwave meal Chashu Pork Belly. MSG free and all natural, in 5 minutes of microwave time, I enjoyed a dish that tasted relatively fresh and a right balance between protein, carbs, and veggies. Not bad but not great either. I live in Irvine so this restaurant comes up a lot whenever I'm searching for new restaurants to try. I saw the high reviews of this place so I figured I'd order the pork belly garlic noodles since I was really craving it today. I'm a big texture person and I love chewy egg noodles, but for some reason the texture of the noodles was a bit too hard and the flavor wasn't all there. The pork belly was also dry so I ended up just eating the crispy skin. There was a lot of garlic though which was appreciated! Overall, not a bad experience but I don't think I'd be coming back. I tried Saiga for the first time this past week and enjoyed the food here. I ordered the Pork Belly Banh Mi, the Grilled Pork Bowl, a Thai Tea and a lemonade. The banh mi was really good, with the bread having a nice crispness to it. The grilled pork bowl was also pretty good with the pork being very flavorful. Both of the drinks paired nicely with the food although I will note that I enjoyed the Thai Tea in particular. Definitely plan on coming back to try the other dishes here! read more

Which isn't bad but I wish that was more clear bec if you want to eat a bowl of pho, you really don't want to get it out of a to go cup or with a tiny plastic spoon. Things that I wish were improved: -no air conditioning inside (or maybe it was not running this day). I sat to eat and I was sweating -no bathroom to wash your hands -no sauce for my eggrolls -not enough condiments for my pho -tables were all dirty -tripping hazard on the way in This place wasn't bad it just wasn't memorable. I ended up finishing the meat long before the rice, and I can't just eat rice on its own. A great spot to have near work. I've been here twice and both times the order was ready at the designated time, and the food was very good! Saiga is my go-to lunch spot whenever I get the chance. The pork belly rice bowl is to die-for. I always place my order for pick up, and it never disappoints. Food is consistent every time I come here. The rice to meat ratio is perfect, and the crispness of the pork-belly is unbeatable. The rice pork belly bowl comes with a side of salad and garlic aioli. As I bite the pork belly banh mi, it reminds me of the Wendy's commercial saying Where's the Beef? We came to this place after seeing many Instagram posts and reading positive reviews. We ordered several banh mi and other items. The roast pork belly sandwich was tasty and toasty. I do like the flavor balance it has. However, the pork belly was small, so certain bites had no meat. It was too chopped, losing the much-needed crispy pork skin crunch. Several other places in the Garden Grove version of this sandwich are much better as they leave the pieces bigger, and each bite, you feel the crispy pork crunch. This would've been better if it had more meat and most importantly, larger pieces. The garlic noodle pork thit nuong was ok. The pork could use more of a grilled char. It was too light-colored and lacked the smoky char of grilled pork fat over flames. The noodle itself was undercooked and very dry. If it weren't for the compliment green sauce, this dish would be hard to eat--no veggies and dry. The grilled pork vermicelli noodles that was good. The sauce flavor was spot on. However, it might be a bit spicy for some who are not used to spice--same feedback on the pork like the garlic noodle above. Overall, price-wise, it was ok. However, given the quality and quantity of the banh mi meats, it was a bit disappointing.
