Very underrated place. Deserves a lot more hype. Great Vietnamese and Asian food. Also serves hamburger and pasta. Highly recommend the house fries for appetizer and churro basket ice cream for dessert. Also highly recommend vermicelli with grilled shrimp, pork, and egg rolls. Would not recommend pho here. The pho is not bad, but there are lots of better places for pho. Rice dishes are great, but are in big portions. They have a lot of rice. Service is good and friendly, but there are too little employees. Needs to hire more employees. Food is decent price, not too expensive. Overall highly recommend eating here. Came here because it is very close to home, but we were Disappointed. I had the house special pho and my wife had the seafood pho. The broth was warm, portions were small, prices were high, and the service was subpar. We will continue to travel to Little Saigon for pho. read more

There's rarely any servers, the owners seem to try to be trying to save on staffing by trying to do it all themselves(?)..doesn't work and, on top of that, they treat you like your a nuisance, like you're expecting too much. Most recently went there Friday at 9:05pm, hours online and on door said 10pm, neon sign was blinking "OPEN" walk-in, standing there for a few moments, nobody says anything after a few moments the guy looks at me like I'm crazy and says "we're closed"..tried to say something to him and repeats, louder, WE'RE CLOSED and turned the OPEN sign off, like a cashier shutting their light off AFTER you stood in line for a few minutes and telling you to move...smdh... I'm assuming the high amount of stars are because people in the area don't really have many options when it comes to Vietnamese food seriously, just a couple miles down the road, you can get a hundred times better but, this is one of the only locations in Huntington Beach.. if you want Vietnamese food, and quality service, don't waste your time. read more

Saigon District was delicious! The first thing you're going to notice is how well decorated and spacious the restaurant is and their great choice in music selection. They had everything from Bo Luc Lac (Vietnamese shaken beef dish), Bun Thit Nuong (Vermicelli noodles with beef and grilled beef) to shrimp garlic noodles, burgers and churro basket ice cream desserts! They dishes were cooked very homestyle and reminded me of the dishes my mom cooks! The owners are super nice and will give suggestions specific to your tastes. Giving 3 stars because the food was decent but I'd give 2 stars for service. This was my 2nd time to restaurant. The first time was when they had first opened and the owners were welcoming and cheerful. Not sure if business has been tough but this time, the lady owner seemed annoyed to have to serve us even though the restaurant was not crowded. There were 2 gentlemen workers, not sure which was the other owner as one sat at a table watching his laptop the whole time and the other was not welcoming at all when we first walked in(just staring at us). Later he came by to ask how the food was but got the sense he felt obligated to, not that he actually cared. I like to support small business owners but I've worked in the service industry too long and think those in it should always try and give good service. It would be convenient to come back here as I live close by, but I think I'll pass and head to Bolsa nexts time. Just didn't feel welcome here. read more

omggggg, the food is sooo good here. service is really good, my waitress i think her name is christine, she's really attentive and friendly. She seems to know the menu inside out, she helped me narrow down to a couple items on the menu to order. I ended up getting the shaken beef on rice  which was very flavorful and delicious. i also ordered a thai tea boba that was better than seaside! for dessert i just had a reg creme brûlée nothing too special, but def delicious. will be coming back again for awesome service and awesome food read more

This place caters to non-Vietnamese customers. It is located in a non-competitive locale where few other Pho restaurants are around. I tried their Pho. I rate it 5/10. I understand their claim of not using MSG which is great. However, many things that I expected comes with a bowl of Pho are missing or lacking. All you get is bean sprouts. They have no fish sauce for me to add to the bland broth. As I've said many of their customers won't know the difference as shown by the exaggerated high reviews. $9.50 for a bowl of Pho is *ahem* pricey as everything else on the menu is. Broth is plenty but everything else is meager. An ice tea is $2.75. On the bright side, service was great. But I came for the food, no amount of great service will overshadow that... Food is good, the lady owner argued with me about what I ordered when I just wanted to be sure we were not charged incorrectly. 1st rule of thumb in customer service is do not argue with your customers. Wow! This place is awesome, food is delicious, great pricing, and superb service. The ambience was quite cozy, we were greeted with warm smiles and was seated right away by our waitress. She took our drink order and came back quickly and took the time to go over the menu and chefs special and answered every question with a smile. (You couldn't help but smile back, her make up was on fleet btw) As an appetizer we started off with the eggrolls, and fusion wings. My god the eggroll was like a crunch of heaven. Best eggrolls I've tasted. Hands down. For entree my boyfriend ordered the reefs burger (pretty Tasty) and I got the garlic pasta with chicken, it was pretty good but I feel like it can be more garlicy taste and less oily.. Last but not least dessert time, we ended our meal with a boom! Churro basket ice cream! I'm craving for some now as I type. It's a must try! We will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Holy mole, I ate for the first time at this restaurant. Amber was my server. The food was excellent and the server was thought the roof. She was spectacular. This is a relatively new restaurant with contemporary decor. There is a bar, TV screens, appetizers, and desserts if you like. The price point is fair. We came there for dinner with our kids. Our kids liked the kids' menu which included some pretty amazing french fries (crispy & salty) and their main dish. I ordered the bo luc lac (less than $13) which is my favorite; it was perfectly seasoned (slightly sweet and savory). I would have preferred a crunchier texture for my rice and I mentioned this to the manager who appreciated the feedback. We were too full to enjoy the desserts but I think we'll be back to try those. Typically, Vietnamese restaurants are not popular for their desserts but this restaurant has a fusion style so their desserts are particularly interesting. They are made on-site and include items like cheesecake, banana split, and there is another one: cinnamon toast with ice cream. It looked good and it's less than $4 for dessert. read more

I had passed by this place so many time every week but had never gone in, and the moment I had tried their food I had instantly regretted never going in before. I tried the crunchy chow mein with shrimp, chicken, steamed bok choy, and steamed sliced carrots the chow mein was shaped in a bowl and marinated in a broth at the bottom of the bow. I regret not being able to take a picture without showing the faces of other eaters so I will not be posting the photo. But the flavor in the chicken was mouthwatering while still being soft enough to easily chew. The carrots and bok choy were sasoned with a light drizzle of ground black pepper. Each dish was made to order (made fresh by request of dish) and presented nicely. Their menu also had a great selection of meats, rice, beer, and noodles, and a nice kids menu. Finally their desserts were good portions and flavourful my favorite being the "Banna Egg Rolls" witch were really fried bananas with sugar and vanilla ice cream. 5/5 stars. read more
