    Sunset rooftop bar

Just walk into the bar downstairs and grab one of their signature cocktails. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is very modern with a relaxed vibe. Once you get your drinks, walk back to lobby and take elevator to the top floor. Step out of the elevator and enjoy 360 degree views of SB. Now, if you are lucky it will be sunset and clear skies! This has to be one of the best views in town and not many people have discovered it yet. So, I'm sharing a special secret with you!

Saint Remy is located at the Courtyard hotel in Santa Barbara. Mind you this is not your usual courtyard...it doesn't even actually say Courtyard anywhere. It is a luxurious boutique style hotel with a fabulous pool, a gorgous lobby, and a bar/restaurant. That being said...Saint Remy is the bar/restaurant. there is bar seating in side the restaurant and more outside at the pool. We have visited Saint Remy both times we have stayed at this property. We have mostly had a drink at the bar (both pool and restaurant side). We have shared a food item on each. we had the Whipped feta on our first visit. it was so delicious! i wish we had more of an appetite to try other things that day. on this past visit we had the avocado toast. so delicious!!! As far as drinks go. It seems as if all the bartenders are "in training". I have not had a great drink yet. I should probably stick with something simple (vodka soda or tequila soda) but i continue to be hopeful Although the bartenders are not seasoned bartenders I must say that they have all been extremely kind and have provided excellent customer service. I know we will be back. we stay here and we stay at the waterman hotel (whichever is less expensive on our dates)

Inside the beautiful hotel Courtyard by Marriott Santa Barbara Downtown You can seat inside or if the weather is nice, ask to be seated outside by the pool. The drinks are super good, but the food is amazing. Starting the olives they bring you while you wait for your food. The combination of flavors of Mediterranean cuisine with American is extraordinary. For appetizers the hummus is always a win, the prosecco shrimp was really good as well. My favorite thing on the menu was the fig burger, but the flatbreads and salmon were also pretty good. Churros for dessert for sure. The service was really good too

A friend and I went in for dinner tonight and loved the whole experience! Service was excellent, very attentive server, friendly and professional. The ambiance and style was lovely and comfortable. My friend and I ordered the brussel sprouts, whipped feta and fig burger. All were soooo delicious. The Brussels had a good flavor, sweet with the crispy onions were so yummy. The whipped feta was a great combo of flavors, the pomegranate seeds and pistachios were the perfect touch in it. Lastly the fig burger was very tasty, having a sweet flavor balanced with a slight spice of the jalapeno, yum!!! Do yourself a favor and go eat here!! I want to go back and try everything else on the menu!

My friend and I decided to try this place for a happy hour meal and we enjoyed the experience a lot! We came on a Saturday evening around 6 and it wasn't that busy; if anything, it was pretty quiet inside the restaurant. The music was fun and the atmosphere was relaxing and chill! Our servers were extremely kind and helpful in giving recommendations for drinks and answering questions about the happy hour menu. The happy hour menu itself was pretty small, but had my friend and I ordered the roasted mushroom flatbread and the remy burger to share. Both were delicious! The flatbread could've used more ricotta spread and caramelized onions, but tasted nice and the burger came with perfectly cooked fries! My friend ordered a cocktail off of the happy hour cocktail menu and I ordered a mocktail the bartender made upon request. The drinks were so cute and tasted great :) Overall, the dining experience here was amazing and I would definitely consider coming here again!

We decided to try something new and Saint Remy did not disappoint! The food was yummy and Treyhus was a wonderful server. He was friendly, good conversation, and knowledgeable about the food. The food is Mediterranean. I got a good burger, others had the meatballs, falafel, feta, and flatbread. It was all very good.

Luis at the bar is amazing. Such a pleasant surprise as most bar staff is dry. This gentleman gave us place to see and of course what order to get and drinks to get. And the ambience with his music selection was perfect. It made a long drive from San Diego well worth it. Thank you again!

Soooo happy to have a delicious food spot in the neighborhood! The short rib hummus is literally one of the best things I've ever eaten; Paired with the whipped feta... *chefs kiss*. For real. Delicious AF. You can thank me later. Stopped in for breakfast today and the shakshuka benny was sooooo good. Definitely recommend! A friend got the churro pancake - also delicious. Breakfast sandwich with hollandaise was also solid. Super solid spot and can't wait for the rain to stop so I can test out the cocktail menu on the rooftop!

We went to Saint Remy on a Saturday night and were the only ones there which we loved. The service and ambiance were great. When you enter the hotel, you'll have to walk all the way to the back, past the pool to get to the restaurant! You also have an option of getting the food "to go" and eating it on their rooftop which has beautiful views of Santa Barbara! We got the whipped feta (delicious), the Remy Burger (not pictured but amazing), the crispy short rib and hummus (good) and the spicy chicken sandwich (not spicy). My only feedback for the food was that we wanted a little more kick out of spicy chicken sandwich since it said it comes with their house hot sauce but it wasn't spicy at all. Our server was very patient with us as we wanted to split the checks so we appreciated that! I'd come back to try breakfast on the rooftop!

Great rooftop sitting area! We were there for happy hour (ordered drinks from 1st floor bar) with great views. You don't have to be a room guest so locals have full access to the seating. The spicy Paloma is recommended.

I've had three meals here so far. The artistic plating whets your appetite and the food is superb. Limited menu but there is good variety. The booths have TVs for private viewing. Service is attentive, nice lighting. Really impressed especially since it is tucked away in the Courtyard Marriott.

This place made me feel like I was in Palm Springs, with the view of the hotel rooms and pool right outside. The food was pretty good, especially the whipped feta. I would definitely order that again. The lamb meatballs and calamari were tasty. They had a limited dessert menu, but the churros were good, although the profiteroles could use more filling! Service was quick and our server was really nice and knowledgeable.

I rated the hotel itself, this rating is for the restaurant only. Saint Remy is definitely up to date and very clean. Place looks great. Service was good when we went. First night I had the burger and fries and asked for Well Done. And I know I'm picky but I asked specifically no pink. The entire middle of the burger was still pink. I just ate around it, the server asked if I wanted it to be re done but I really don't like sending food back to the kitchen. Had the burger been cooked right I would have enjoyed it, especially for the price. My wife had a side Caesar salad and the Calamari, she did enjoy her meal. For the place and city I really expected better food. The following day we had breakfast there and I had the 3 eggs scrambled with bacon, sausage and potato. Food was decent, but the sausage was also a little undercooked in the middle, even though it was crispy on the outside. My wife had the farmhouse sandwich, and she loved it. I should have ordered that. All in all it's decent for a restaurant, but since you always pay a little more at a hotel I wanted just a little bit more flavor and not have my food undercooked. Still would go here again, everyone was nice, but hopefully the food is a little better next time.

French toast, two eggs plate, and the lox plate.

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. The exterior doesn't scream "must come in" but you absolutely should. Is it a tiki bar? Yes, but in the best way. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. Passionfruit forward, it's silky, sweet yet very well balanced. One of the more unique and tasty cocktails I've had ever and honestly I'm not sure how I could come back and get anything else. 10/10 Cocktail and menu. Super impressed. Kudos to Mark who was working the bar. Such a lovely spirit and kind person. He really is passionate about his menu and the drinks he's curated. Loved talking to him as we got to know a lot more about Pearl social and how some of their drinks were concerted. Really appreciated his time and expertise. My bestie (and yelp elite) Imo brought me here for a girls day after raving about it for months, and now I completely understand the hype. We grabbed seats at the bar (which is honestly the place to be, especially since this spot gets busy on the weekends). Hint hint: make a reservation or get here early. But overall the bar was the perfect place to people watch and to catch up. When it comes to service, impeccable. Despite being busy everyone was attentive and the drinks/food were well placed despite it being a full house. And can we talk about the bartenders? They were so welcoming and even let us film while they worked their magic making cocktails. Watching them crank out cocktails with so much flair was half the entertainment and they couldn't have been nicer. Service was definitely a 10/10. We enjoyed a few margaritas but my favorite was definitely the Hibiscus Margarita. It wasn't overly sweet and was just refreshing. I also had the tamarind Marg which was good too. Extensive cocktail menu and mezcal if you like it. The food absolutely lived up to the drinks. Santo Mezcal takes classic Mexican flavors and gives them a slightly elevated twist while still keeping everything comforting and approachable. My friend couldn't stop talking about her Pork Belly Tacos and I fell in love with the Shrimp Enchiladas. They were loaded with fresh shrimp and covered in the most incredible creamy chipotle sauce (same as their sister restaurant Los agaves for reference). Definitely one of my favorite enchiladas around, 10/10 also. One thing I wasn't expecting is that their chips and salsa might be some of the best I've had. The tortilla chips were fresh, warm, perfectly salted, and paired with a salsa so good I probably ate two bowls before our food even arrived. Honestly, you could sit at the bar with a basket of chips, salsa, and margaritas for hours and be completely happy. Make sure you don't pass up on the chips and salsa. As noted, this is a more elevated Mexican restaurant so prices are slightly more $$$ but you get what you pay for. Just worth noting because if you equate good Mexican food being $2 tacos and a bucket of beer, this spot won't do it for you. But if you want something for more of a special occasion where the food, vibes and service are A+ then this spot is for you.
