Went to Sajj for the first time yesterday and I'm so glad I did, it was delicious! At first when I walked up I thought ehhh another Chipotle, not really the dinner I was looking for, but the flavor more than made up for it. I had a shawafal bowl with hummus, pickles, cucumber salad, picked radish, and garbanzo beans. It was excellent, I cannot say enough about how yummy this place is. I only wish there was one in South SJ, I don't find myself in MV often.... OH and the mint lemonade and Tamarind are super yummy too! read more

SAJJ catered a private party for me today and it was fantastic. It was very easy to order from their comprehensive catering options and they communicated with me very clearly so that I felt assured that my order was clear. The meal was delivered at the exact time I had requested and brought all of the food into the house. They even placed the hot food into the oven and arranged everything else on the serving table. Hazem could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Our guests loved the food and there was plenty for everyone who wanted to have seconds. The food is very good and customizable ... Chipotle style. The portion is big. The Mediterranean flavor is yummmm and light.

I wanna go back! NOW! But will wait til tomorrow. Just had my 1st Sajj experience and it was terrific all around. The staff recognized my glazed look as I studied the menu and said, "First time?" They patiently walked me through the process and introduced the copious and colorful selections. I had the special, beef salad and it was divine. The beef was ground, balled, and deliciously seasoned. The tzatziki took me back to Greece. Excellent. Eggplant was perfect, beets were crunchy and flavorful, cauliflower was tasty and the sumac onions were heaven on a plate. I could've eaten a whole order of that! The mint yoghurt drink was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Cool and refreshing. There are so many wonderful options that you could eat there for weeks and never repeat a meal. Or ... if you're addicted to a specific combo, eat it every day! BTW: there were families with young kids there and they all seemed to love their choices. GO! EAT! BE HAPPY! read more

This place is AMAZING!! The combination of flavors is exquisite. I never want my meal to end. Definitely try this place if you are on the edge. I get a half salad/half rice bowl, chicken schwarma, cauliflower, eggplant, cabbage, cucumbers, hummus, tzatki, and spicy tahini. Excellent. Obviously this place tastes great. I actually want to drop a note on the service. I placed an order today on OrderAhead and went to pick it up as usual. When I arrived, we couldn't find the order - it turns out that I had mistakenly placed it at Sajj San Jose! After discovering this, the guys at Sajj San Antonio offered to make the order anyways and did not charge me again. I called the San Jose location right after to apologize and tell them I won't be picking up the order. Sajj San Antonio totally exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond their responsibilities. It's definitely gonna be my go to takeout place from now on. read more

One of the first reataurants we did take out after moving to Mountain View. Delicious food, a tad bit on the pricier side but the quantity might make up for it. Loved the Chicken Shawrma bowl. Went to Sajj today for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the steak shawarma in the Sajj wrap and everything tasted good and the wrap help up. There's nothing more annoying than trying to hold your food together as you eat it so the fact that the bread stayed together was nice. The ingredients they used seemed fresh and everthing was flavorful. I like the assembly line set-up, it allows people to customize their meal based on what they like. Been here twice now. Consistently the tastiest shawarma-style wrap in the area. I've tried the shawarma (steak) and the shawafel and both were great, with pickled cabbage, rice, eggplant, tzatziki and tahini. My wife had a pomegranate chicken bowl. Discovered this place two weeks ago and have already been back three times! The staff and owner are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious and unique. I highly recommend the Sajj wrap--imagine a grilled Mediterranean burrito, with all the fillings and sauces you could ever want. The mint lemonade is also great. read more

I wanted to like this place. The decor is nice, the prices are decent but the presentation of the food made it unappetizing. The idea looks like it was a Chipotle style mediterranean place...but Chipotle seems more fresh. I called ahead to ask if I ordered 5 falafel bowls of they could put the ingredients together in separate containers - so, all the falafel a together, all the greens together, all the cauliflower together, etc. I was told on the phone this could be done. I checked the hours to make sure they were open in 4th of July. I showed up around 3:30 pm so no lunch crowds. There was no one inline. I told them what I wanted, the woman after some consternation started to fill the order - she had already put the greens, falafel a and cauliflower in separate containers. Then a guy there said they couldn't do that. So I left and they list my business. I really like their falafel a. But I went somewhere the food is just as good and the service is WAY batter!!!!! If you are reading this: GO. This place is my go - to (and I was looking for somewhere like that since I moved to the area). It is very kid-friendly, they have a few high chairs so we've never not had one. The outdoor seating is a nice plus for when the weathers nice and inside is spacious enough that you don't feel crowded, even with a toddler and in high times. Sometimes if it's more of a dinner meal, we add extra meat to the plate/sandwich for just a few bucks extra and its very worth it. For lunch though the normal portion is usually fine. The kids meal is only $5 and comes with chicken, rice, veggie chips and a juice box. Every meal comes with the soup which is a tasty addition and most of the time we order a side of fries because they are delicious. If you're feeling up for it, getting the shawafel (+ falafel) is sooo good. Also, it's a part of a strip mall so there's always parking. read more

Seriously one of the coolest experiences I've had going to a spot for the first time. As I sat there trying to make up my mind, Hazem, the manager, insisted that I try everything. He literally took a little bit of everything they had to offer (all the meats and sauces) and put it in a little bowl for me. Honestly, everything was really good but I opted for the pomegranate chicken cause it was really really good. I ended up getting a rice bowl with the works. Crazy thing is, when he went to ring me up, he only charged me $2.18. I was confused at first but he repeated himself and that was the price. He told me that since it was my first time, he wanted to make the experience great. Unbelievable! The food was awesome of course and I can see now why this place has such an awesome rating on Yelp. Good for Hazem that he knows how to run a place and make people want to come back. We need more places like this with people like Hazem! 5 stars! read more
