This business will not survive another 6 months if they keep the same staff that was working on Saturday 16th, April 2022. Literally had to leave at the cash register, left four order of food; disappointed by the whole interaction. I walk in with my three kids. Kids were a bit hesitant to try anything this new. The first server pointed us to the kids menu. Two right away decided on the mac and cheese bowl in the kids menu. He left to heat up the M&C. Third the pickiest child, got the courage to try the real food. she wanted to try shawarma. Conflicted with beef or chicken, I asked if we can do half and half. The second server who was there the entire time, He nodded and filled half a scoop of each. Nothing else no other toppings. Hearing convo with the two giddy kids who just scored M&C they said they will try a "falafel". I order another bowl, only rice, and falafel nothing else. The first server is setting up 2 M&C and 3 apple juice and pita bread that comes with the combo at the register, walks behind the server who is helping us, and said something in Spanish. The person helping us at the cash register, proceeded to remove the third serving of apple juice and chips, leaving only two. Perplexed, I asked what is going on. The server said the rice bowls are not for kids. I asked him why? He mumbled something, that I didn't understand, shook his shoulders no. I asked again, he mumbled again. Okay? ...so I explained that I plan to pay 1 full price for one of the bowls, but 3 kids meals. The food portions are so small anyway, but maybe the two portion of shawarma was a problem? So I'm negotiating with myself to just get with it...I explained again, I will pay full price for rice bowl with shawarma, or switch it, consider the falafel and rice bowl as kids - so they can all get the same apple juice and pita? The server said, this time in good English: kids only get 3 falafel balls not 4? Seriously? Take one back. No. Okay. So we walked out. The business owners can't blame COViD for lack of business, but they can hire employees that care about SaJJ, it's level of service they provide, and quality of food. read more

I love all their sides but as other reviewers have said, it can be drowned out by their sauces so be careful when selecting (you can ask for on the side). Used to love this place but not as good the time I went. I ordered online for pickup. At 5:15 pickup I checked my order and they didn't provide the side of green sauce I requested. I went back inside to ask for it and the cashier said they had none left. (The best part of Sajj is the green sauce). I was shocked that so early in the evening they were already out and couldn't make more. I requested an extra side of tahini which the cashier did provide. However opening my bowl, I realized there was WAY too much tahini on the entire bowl. It was so saucy. I assumed a to go order would provide sauces on the side, but I was wrong to assume. SAJJ Mediterranean is a Middle Eastern / Mediterranean style Chipotle. They have wraps, salads and rice bowls and you choose between Beef and Chicken Shawama and Falafels. Then you can choose one or all of veggie options eggplant, cauliflower, arrugula. Then you choose from Hummas, Tahini or garlic sauce. At the end you can get some other toppings such as pickles,cheese and avocado some at an additional charge. $13 for the rice bowl. Good fresh ingredients. On the side there is a cilantro chutney and hot sauce for self service. There are dine in table and counter tops. I went on an off hour so there was no wait. I was a little skeptical of this place because it was a Saturday evening (6pm) and there was only 1 family dining. I hadn't heard of this place but was in the shopping center and decided to give it a try. I was definitely impressed! The staff was amazing and so helpful! The food was delicious and fresh. My only complaint would be the pita chips. They were bite size pieces and hard to use for scooping the dip let alone the food. Other than that, I would totally recommend. The chocolate hummus was alright- the cinnamon pita chips were good. Pistachio baklava alright, I should've gotten walnut baklava.
