I think negative reviewers have too high expectations. Went here for lunch yesterday, finding the experience similar to Asian buffets in the past. Host/manager was great, attentive service! Food seemed fresh enough, saw him re-filling items. About the sushi ... it's NOT sushi-bar quality - surprise! For an all-you-can-eat experience, there was enough filling, didn't seem heavily rice-padded to me. If you want a negative comment: the coconut shrimp was disappointing, not having it again. I have enjoyed this place several times since moving to the area. Some of the sites have their hours opening a 11:00am, but as of today they actually open at 11:30. I (and others) have made the mistake showing uo at 11am to find them closed, but there are other restaurants nearby if that happens to you. My wife, kids and me find the selection pretty good. The buffet items are of better quality in my option than than other buffets, and they also offer a hibatchi bar included in the price where you can mix your own protens and vegetiables and they will cook it right there. The maintain the hot items and refresh frequently. They have a small desert area and consitenly offer 6 flavors of ice cream (also included) should you want to indulge. All the staff are really friendly. They seat you promotly and also tend to plates or refills without too much delay. I only have one issue with this place, and it's with their tipping suggestions. I find it very frustrating (and dishonest) when restaurants calculate the tip on the post tax total, when the universal standard has alwasy been the tip should be calcualted pre-tax (you don't based on government taxes). It's not a lot of money, but it can add up for larger tables, and more importantly some who things they are already tipping say 20% are actually tipping even more. I also find it strange they have a 22% tip suggestion on a buffet, but at least they also include the lower amounts. With the closing of Chin's and my past experience with Grand Buffet, Sakura is my only place to go if I want fried rice, lo mein and generic Chinese food. My last visit was 12/30/2021 for supper. For the supper buffet they have many different shrimp items, muscles, and crab selections. I prefer beef and pork dishes and not so much on the seafood portion. The beef dishes are very average as are the chicken and pork. The egg rolls are very thin, narrow, and not much filling, I like a traditional egg roll. I don't participate in two things here the dessert table and the sushi area. Not my favorites here. So basically I came here for fried rice and noodles. :) read more

The sushi is tiny, the size of a six year olds thumb and the fish is so thin you can see throu it. It is still covid era sushi that I therefire call "Covid sushi". They only have salmon and red tuna as the regular sushi and they don't have sashimi which they use to have prior to covid. The rest of the buffet is regular good. To sum up: the regular buffet is standard good but if you love Sushi or like it enough to want properly made sushi, then Sakura Buffet is not what you want. There are other local buffets in collier and lee county areas that have returned to making proper sushi but I am not mentioning them because that would make it seem like this is a dishonest review. We came to this location after visiting the outlet malls and it was the closest restaurant for our family to have lunch before heading south to Miami. We got there and the place was crowded. We sat and got up to check the variety of food. Food was decent but not too many varieties. The shrimp was not good and you can tell the dirt on the shrimp. Ok, so we've been coming regularly and I've gotta say they have been consistently good until today. I would get my quick fix here, fast and cheap. $9.99 for lunch Most the food is fresh, they have pretty much all you expect from a typical Asian buffet from French fries to lychee for dessert. Today they weren't so fresh but may have gotten them in between shifts Why has it also changed today? They have substituted many Chinese dishes with American food. Seems they have gone onto cheaper items, carbs and for instance the fried rice barely has anything in it but rice. Peas and onions if you are good at hide and seek The sushi increasingly adds more cream cheese and less seaweed in its rolls. The soup was really bad. I usually get their hot and sour, again, play the lotto if you find any tofu. The dish tasted like plastic. Was it stored or cooked in plastic ? Idk Watermelon was good and the canned lychees were also good. What was weird and scary was the essential oil steamer/diffuser blowing onto the desserts. It was going big blast and I wondered what scent it was, nevertheless I don't think the health dept would approve. Reason I gave them an extra star is the staff. They are very accommodating, nice, polite, and the service is professional. From upon entering to leaving, they do treat you with respect and make you feel welcomed. During season it's waiting room only during weekends. However they hand you a pager while you wait. You can send the kids down to the new Goodwill nearby but usually the wait is quick. My hubby usually loves the Cha Shu Boa, bbq Chinese buns. I like the veggies, fruit and sherbets. But against n the buns were cold and not up to par. We were looking for a hibachi and they had it and it was good, the food on the buffet was fresh--even a calamari salad and hard packed ice cream--the service was very good, although I was disappointed I could not understand the waiter very well. The ambiance needs the work--it looked like at one time it was a lovely place, it just needs a to be buffed back into beauty. I've come to this place many many times and never reviewed it (bad yelper!). Like any China buffet they're very dry. "How many? Sit here! What to drink?", I love everything but the sushi. The sushi here is exactly what you expect buffet sushi to be (not that great). It's mostly rice with very little fish. However, the food is fresh and very tasteful. Ok so let's get it out of the way... this IS a buffet so we aren't expecting 5 star food and service. I come here strictly to eat sushi. I love sushi and filling me up can get pretty expensive at some of the sushi joints in town. At Sakura I get the best of both worlds. It is a good price and the sushi quality is pretty good. I have eaten here several times and never left dissatisfied. They have a good selection of sushi and sashimi that is made fresh. Small buffet but modern and clean, food is your typical buffet for lunch but dinner has more variety including crab ( but I'm sure that's seasonal). I have never been a fan of buffets, but this one wasn't too bad especially for the price! They do have a grill which looked good but I never tried it.
