This has to be one of the worst Asian buffet places around! The food is horrific. I got here early so the food would be fresh. Well it wasn't. It tasted old even though they brought out a recycling of pans full of new food, somehow it still tasted old. There is NO quality to the food here and the service and the noise is like no other. We saw this place advertised with a great dinner buffet price so we knew we had to check it out. A nice modern décor with friendly and efficient staff. A very large and wide variety of selections on the buffet - something for everyone or a whole lot to try for yourself! Decent selection of sushi and Chinese dishes. My wife & I decided on oriental food for the evening and selected Shapiro as it was closest. Another reason we went to this restaurant is that I was hungry and buffet style seemed to meet my needs. In addition, I had lunch there last season after golf with a friend; that initial impression was favorable. After this evening we have decided not to go back. The service was friendly & efficient but most of the buffet food we tried was luke warm and had an after taste. Buffet food prentation was voluminous but buffet food trays were not replenished. I know they just opened last week but some basic things were just wrong. Lay out is just off the entry is cramped and the flow for the seating to the food is awkward. Too many people milling about--don't know if it was family or friends of the owners but there were people just standing around outside the store front as well as walking around inside the whole time we were there. At the sushi station 3 workers preparing sushi in a frantic manner they were arguing and shouting at each other and in Spanish to the dish washer who was bringing out clean plates unfortunately they were all wet. Gross. It's a buffet place. All the plates are plastic. Did they not expect to need a lot of plates? Can they dry them? Obviously they skimped on plates. No soy sauce at the tables. Only a very small bowl with a ladle at the sushi station. Odd and it screams cheap. Asian food choices standard nothing exceptional. Miso soup was warm bland diluted liquid. They probably ran out and watered it down. Gourmet dessert bar NO not really. Also no alcohol. Should have put a sign on the food so before you are seated you can decide whether to say. We wanted a few beers and saki on a Saturday night out. They advertise for it but must not have gotten a liquor license yet. For $20 a person so not worth it. No. Just seemed confusing--miso soup tasted like warm watered down broth, ordered hot green tea which arrived tepid at best. Had to wait for a second cup because they ran out. Dinner plates all wet. Sushi station had "smell". Owners family or workers seemed to be hanging around--couldn't really figure it out. Sat at our table and my feet slipped on something under the table that should have been cleaned prior to seating us. No soy sauce at the tables. No liquor license. They did seem to spend a lot of money on neon lights display and a in-the-wall faux water feature. They really should have kept the place simple and not wasted their money on the decor which is quite gaudy. Would have been good to have a soft opening maybe to work out the kinks and get up to speed maybe? They just don't seem experienced in running a buffet style asian restaurant--I can definitely see some food handling violations in their future. I've been here several times and have walked out fat and happy each time! Sakura is very bright and clean and the service has been excellent. I always seem to get the same waiter and he is very prompt (getting me refills on my drink before I even really need it), polite and speaks excellent English. There is a decent selection of freshly made sushi (even some I've never seen elsewhere, like trout) but alas, the times I've been there there wasn't red tuna (which happens to be my favorite). The Chinese buffet has all the usual offerings to keep people happy plus a few unusual dishes that aren't right off a take-out menu (mango chicken!). Dessert is the usual mix of pastries, fruits and ice cream (green tea yum yum!) but what makes Sakura a bit different is that there is a chocolate fountain, for all you addicts out there. BTW, I notice this listing has 3 $$$ for cost and this is a mistake. Lunch is $9.95 and dinner is just a few bucks more. read more

In a pinch, it's a good place for a quick lunch. The sushi was decent. The roles were fresher tasting than the nigiri. The cook food was just okay. The noodles were uninspiring . The beef tasted good . The red bean Sesame balls were Raw I'd say they could do better by charging a little more but having a better-looking assortment of cooked food. read more

I've been going to Sakura for three years and I love the Sushi all you can eat for lunch or dinner for always delicious. The other dishes are delicious as well, love the Hot and Sour soup. The all u can eat is now prepared from a nene whatever you want. How could you go wrong read more

We were happy eating here. Sakura looks classy and does NOT have this canteen flair some "buffet" places tend to have. Cannot understand the previous experiences or maybe they already approved some. The food was fresh and tasted great. We did not see any flies or so. Staff is very friendly. We were there for lunch and I think for a lunch buffet 10$ is a good deal for what was offered. There was Sushi (a big variety), salads, vegetables, soups (I didn't have soup though), hibachi Grill, different Asian food buffet style, cakes, fruits and ice cream for dessert. I don't know what else they could add for dinner? Will figure this out... What I did not like - but I suppose it is because they just had opened a week earlier - are the restrooms. The water is somehow all over the sink counter and the toilets are somehow "not really finished". But I think it is like with every recently opened establishment. They will fix it, hopefully! Well you get what you pay for and since the price is cheap don't expect quality. It's your typical Chinese buffet with some sushi. Nothing seemed fresh but everything seemed salty with possible buffet preservatives so the food would keep. I definitely will not return. 2-stars are generous. My stomach hurts. read more

Sakura buffet is good, but it could be great. First, the service is very good, however, due to it being a buffet my rating depends very little on that factor. Where do I begin? The sushi has way too much rice on it, the desserts are very limited with nothing hot, the food is a hit or miss, as some days its good and hot and others it is warm, or even cold. Like all buffets it depends on how many people are eating. More= fresher food= better food and vice versa. read more

Ok seriously this is not one of the worst, but IS the worst Chinese food not only in Florida, but on the entire planet! I just moved to Naples and was looking for a at least semi-decent Chinese restaurant. First off, never mind the food, but the place is dingy AF! As for the food, my wife spit out more food in her napkin than she swallowed. My bad for trusting the at least 3 stars. If you like all fake crab (surimi) in just about all of your sushi rolls and totally sub-par COLD food than this is your place. Cheap cuts of meat, hardly any variety of any kind on the hot (umm cold) table and literally everything was just poor. I do have a somewhat sophisticated palette, I'm from NY and live in Vegas, but damn! The food is Americanized to the point of catering to a poverty level palette that doesn't know any better. Save your money and go elsewhere. Don't say I didn't warn you! We actually went to McDonalds after leaving this place just to at least feel like we had lunch and it was 1000x better than this place if that means anything! Oh, also no conditions to serve yourself at the buffet. They have plastic gloves, but everyone eating there didn't mind bare hands at the buffet with tongs, so besides the cold bacteria ridden food in the steam table, have yourself a nice dose of covid with your sushi roll. Don't even get me started on the level of quality of the sushi lol!! In a city with only a handful of buffets, Sakura really shines through. With a plentiful sushi selection and wonderful staff, Sakura has offered me a great experience with every visit. The food is hot, fresh, and they keep everything clean. The waiter that I've gotten the few times I've been there is always polite and attentive. Love this place for dinner! They have a variety of sushi options, seafood, and Chinese food with a nice dessert and ice cream bar. You can also pick up a box of food if you don't have time to sit down and eat. The servers are very sweet. My fiancé and I go here almost every weekend! Yum! read more

I don't know about some of the poor reviews here. Wife and I had been meaning to try this place for a while and finally did today. Note that were were there for Lunch. Lunch price is $9.95. Dinner is $15.95 weekdays and $17.95 weekends. We understand that dinner adds a number of entrees (crab, steak instead of beef at the hibachi, salmon, and a greater selection of sushi). Upon entry, we were pleased with the appearance of the restaurant ... new and stylish. Certainly not the "big open room" of most Naples' AYCE chinese. We were shown to a nice booth on one of three seating sections. The sushi bar offered at least 2 - 3 dozen choices, both cooked and raw. All was laid out nicely and attractively. Adjoining the sushi area is a hibachi (Mongolian grill) offering shrimp, chicken, beef, veggies and noodles. Additionally there were 2-3 more buffets of Chinese entrees and one for desserts (chocolate fountain, with skewers for bananas, marshmallows and more, as well as all sorts of baked goods. All-in-all we thought it was the best AYCE Chinese buffet in Naples ... and that was on Weekday prices. We certainly will be back, and try the weekend menu. read more
