This place had such a huge selection that I was lost at first, but one of the employees came out and gave us a crash course in the menu. After that it was hard to choose because everything looked good! We had wraps, salads, and a panini, and my daughters each built their own meal from the kids' menu. Everything was fresh, came out quickly, and was easily customizable so everyone was happy. The half salad that came with my meal was so huge I had to take some home, but I'm looking forward to enjoying the leftovers later. I tried Saladworks for the first time recently while visiting from out of state and was very impressed. I was looking for good but healthy food, and they definitely delivered on that. The staff at this location were very friendly and attentive, and the Cobb salad and grain bowl that I had were both excellent. Review based on first visit, weekday lunch around 11:00. This was a tough choice between 2 and three stars. For what it's worth, I really wanted to like this place, as a healthy food spot is always welcome. Pros: - Staff was friendly. - Salad ingredients seemed mostly fresh, with some exceptions (see below). - The warm roll that came with the salad was good. Cons: - My Asian crispy chicken salad needed some help. The chicken was NOT crispy at all; more like breaded chicken bits that were served cold. Also, the girl making my salad poured a TON of dressing on it, making it unpalatable. I should have asked for the dressing on the side but still, a salad place should know how much dressing to put on a salad. Also, the salad needed more "extras" (cucumber, tomato, etc.) added to the basic greens, not just the meager amounts they scoop into the bowl. - The beverage options were not tasty. Between the wife and I, we tried the organic orange soda, light cola, and the basic tea and the lemonade. We did not care for any of them, for differing reasons. - Poor value. For 2 salads and 2 sodas, it cost around $35 or so. Not worth it, especially for the mediocre quality. Verdict: - We will probably not be back. I think if this place used fresher chicken and the employees learn how to properly dress a salad, it might be better. We had a full salad there when it first opened. For fast food, it was pretty darn good. We returned a second time and the young girl helping us mixed up our orders. I as for a Cobb Salad and got a Meditereian with lots of Feta, which I requested she not use. You could tell they were lacking in Training. I placed an online order for a southwest chipotle ranch salad and a toasted turkey club wrap. I arrived shortly after placing the order and went inside. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in. You know how some things are really great in theory and then lack in the actuality of it? (Like that time you bought those jeans 2 sizes too small planning to fit until them, squeezed into them anyway for your cousins birthday party at the roller rink and then couldn't bend over all night? Yeah, like that.) So excited to have a place like this in Lincoln. Based on the foot traffic, there is a demand and a market need for healthy quick options like this. We went in for lunch. There were 10 people working there. Lacking direction about what they should be doing and with no direction from the manager. They were all just standing around. We ordered a panini. After 10 minutes I looked to check on the sandwich and both sandwich grills were empty. The panini was just sitting on the counter behind the register, with the tag with my name on it. No process for calling out a name or making sure it made it to the customer timely. (One would think with all the extra staff capacity someone would have seen it sitting there.) Its clear the staff lack training and clear direction about what they should be doing to add value and properly service customers. I stood there unacknowledged and then told the server that was mine. It was cold when I unwrapped it because it sat so long. Also to find it was made with the incorrect bread. Took it back to the counter for a remake and similar chaos ensued when I saw the tag sitting there with no sandwich and come to find another server had it in hand to bring it out to me. When we left the phone was ringing and the servers were all gathering to stare at the phone and quietly contemplate who should answer it. (Also it was a land line and the server average age was maybe 17 so perhaps they are unfamiliar with an "old school land line" telephone or how it might be operated). (For the record the sandwich was just ok. Next time I will go back and I'll try a salad because I really want this place to get their act together and do well.) I hope this places makes it. If they keep over staffing and running the staff poorly without clear lines of communication or clear job duties, it may be another franchise that pops up and goes down, like a nice pair of good-idea wrong-size jeans sitting on the shelf unworn until they end up in the donation bin. read more

It's a Chipotle style place for salads! You can either pick a pre-made salad and take or add from there or you can create your own salad. (Don't know how much that costs. The pre-made salads were $11.49 which is a fair price. The salad was good and came in a nice to go container. It was a pretty big salad but not memorable. I wouldn't crave this salad like the one's I've had at Mendocino Farms. What I did not like was the added tip at the end of the transaction. It had three choices and didn't allow you to choose your own amount easily. I ended up putting cash in the tip jar. Overall a good salad with a fair price. read more
