It's not a cheap salad, but it's a delicious salad. I love splurging on getting a tasty salad from Salata and I'm disappointed they don't have a store front in the SGV so I can visit while home. They have plenty of types of greens and a huge variety of toppings, and of course plenty of tasty dressings. I like adding a protein as well. Service is quick and the space appeared clean.

pros fresh ingredients they have jimica, cilantro, snow peas, fresh arugula, bean sprouts, herb vinaigrette, large portions (a small is filling) cons price point an extra $5-5.75 for protein (shrimp, bacon, chicken) solution: substitute egg or tofu for this is perfect for those who do not prefer meat, you'll end up paying $9.99 for a salad but if you're craving protein you'll end up paying $17 for a small salad (large portions here) good time to go vegetarian this is why there's a huge disparity in health outcomes cause those who need to eat healthy can't afford to. one point taken off for price point.

Salata is located in the food court at Figat7th. I have always passed by this place and finally decided to try it out. You are basically building your own salad or wrap. They have 4 blends of salad that you can choose from. On my visit I went with the Salata blend which is basically all the veggies mixed together. Next you choose your toppings. They have so many options to choose from that makes it overwhelming. If you go too crazy, the flavors may not mix well together. After choosing all your toppings, you can pick one of the various dressings. I went with the mango dressing since it sounded most appetizing at the time. The process is like a conveyer belt, so you are proceeding from one station to another. I wasn't able to really look at all they had to offer. They have different proteins that you can add, but they all cost extra. I kept mine simple and only added chicken. The overall price of the regular salad was about $13. A little pricey, but you get a good amount of food. This establishment moves quick and you do not have to wait long for your food. If you want healthy options, this is the healthiest you can get in the food court.

Really impressed with the value and quality at Salata! For the price you pay you get a LOT more than Simply Salad and there are much more choices to customize your salad, or even get your salad into a wrap. The salad bar has over 50 items. I put the following in my salad: -romaine lettuce mix -spinach -kale -jicama -pumpkin seeds -peas -alfalfa sprouts -sliced carrots -cubed beets -cucumbers -chopped hard boiled egg -kidney beans -halved grapes (they also have strawberries and pineapple) -radishes -black olives (they also have green) -tomatoes -green peas -corn You can pick unlimited toppings and mix-ins including raw vegetables, nuts, cheese, egg, olives, etc. for the base price of $8 for a small and $9 for a large salad. If you want protein it is like $3.50-$5 for chicken, fish or even crab. The salad is supposed to come with bread, but they ran out and sadly I didn't get any (the bread of the day was bacon wheat). You get $2 off during happy hour which is Mon through Friday in the afternoon until closing! That meant that my large salad was only $7. It was big enough to eat half now and the other half later. They toss your salad together with the dressing, and you can get the dressing on the side too. I was able to get an extra dressing this way. The dressings are all labeled with the calorie counts and I love that they have 2 low calorie no fat dressings that taste delicious. Most of the dressings are 300 calories for a scoopful but the sun dried tomato and the mango dressings are only 35 calories for a scoop. The mango is pureed fruit with yogurt so it's not fake tasting. You can sample the dressings. I also got their tomato soup, which was a bit too on the creamy side instead of the tomato-y side. It came with the most amazing breadcrumbs (wow!) and pita chips (yum!). I will definitely be back. Hopefully they won't run out of bread next time I order a salad or if they do they could offer me something like bread crumbs or their housemade pita chips as a substitute.

Salata is located at FIGat7th downstairs in the courtyard. I decided to try this place because I honestly wasn't too hungry during lunch and didn't want anything too heavy. The line at the food court was also the shortest. This is like a subway for salads. You pick your base and then you pick your ingredients. They package it all together for you, and then you are on your way. Honestly in my opinion I was shocked how much the total was. For my small salad I had to pay $14. I didn't get a side of soup or even a drink. The salad itself was good, but not worth the price.

There are a few Salatas near me at work, this is just one of them. Its next to the Target which gives it extra points. Its within a food court that has Mediterranean, Korean, Japanese, Pizzas and Burgers. I usually opt for the healthy salad. They also have a salad and soup combo. Had the tomato soup before which was delicious! Overall this place is a good value - unlimited toppings for a small or large. I usually mix kale and spinach and get the pesto chicken for my protein. Staff is friendly and line moves pretty fast. I've only been disappointed once, but I chose some bad toppings so it was my fault. You don't have anyone to blame but yourself at a make your own place!

Wrap filled with chicken, cucumber, cheese, bacon, avocado, ranch, etc. $12 was just OK...

I used to work next to a Salata in Orange County and go every week and get the same thing pretty much. A wrap filled with veggies, chicken and ranch sauce. Coming back from a hike in LA, I was so excited to try Salata out again after a year of missing it. The topping choices all looked good and so did the proteins. My wrap cost about $12 but was large. When I went to eat the wrap it didn't taste as good as I remembered. Their ranch was different. The wrap was also very chewy and stretchy. The chicken didn't have any flavor. Sadly, I thought the wrap was "OK" and did not think this was the food I was addicted to for so long. Unless my taste buds have just changed, I wasn't that impressed or perhaps I went on an off day during the weekend and the items were just old.....

Ray infestation nice cover up

Rat problem call and get that cleared up. I wonder if that is what was in my dressing last time

Salad is salad yes I know! I do like the variation they have somethings the things you might not even imagine but Salata has it. Here we go Downtown LA right in the middle of 7th and Fig. The portions are pretty sizable containers, it can be a good costly 10-11 dollars which is what you get for. The tomato soup is off the chain it's definitely good but you have to crave it. It's not watery nor to thick it has a good taste. I got the "bowl" which is really a cup for 5 dollars and some change I added another piece of bread to dip, but the little pinky size bread is one dollar for the roll. Management before was pretty cool on hooking you up before with another piece. Not saying it should happened every time but for sure the rolls got smaller and more of a price than a bargain. I guess the nail to foot is the price we're I think it can be a bit cheaper but it's only wishful thinking!

I love SALATA. It is the best salad place on earth to me. No place like it. The ingredients always beyond fresh. So tasty and refreshing. I love this place seriously. Downtown is good and the Sherman Oaks one are the only LA locations I've visited. I wish there were more here. The croutons are soft and amazing. & the service is always fast.

This wrap didn't get soggy even though they did a nice light dressing over all the ingredients.

It's conveniently located to the LA Convention Center, Crytpo.com arena, and LA Live which makes it a must visit before or after an event! I am obsessed with their happy hour, which offers healthy items at discounted prices with generous portions! I have been here so many times throughout the years but most recently found myself here during a busy World Cup match! Regardless, the service and quality of food was not sacrificed! I was greeted as soon as I got there and the bartenders were overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful. I was so tempted to get a margarita, since theirs are amazing, but decided to keep it dry and just get their vegan nachos. I was able to score a table outside on their lovely patio, which felt secluded enough from the main street. My food was brought out quicker than I thought and I was delighted, as I was famished! The vegan nachos here are fantastic and the happy price is only $10, which is a steal for what you get! They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

I ordered the Espresso Martini, and it tasted pretty watered down and lacked the bold coffee flavor I was hoping for. On the bright side, the food was definitely the highlight. The mussels were flavorful, the calamari was crispy and cooked well, and the fries were delicious. Those dishes really saved the experience . Overall, I'd come back for the food, but I'd probably steer clear from cocktails and order a real drink.
