Salads for $8, bigger salad for $9 and the non-protein toppings are included & they've got a lot of them. Since you can load the salads, it is a better deal than Simply, but I'll still hit simply salad for their wraps. They had way more toppings than I can remember, but I like that they have jicama and fruit options, today they were strawberries, grapes, oranges and apples, they might have had others, not sure. The line/wait was similar to simply and they both have a pre-order option, in Salata's case it is ritual. read more

The salads are always fresh and abundant. I'm usually able to get two solid and hearty salad meals out of one serving. The kale and spinach are my favorite and they both have great texture and flavor along with the other toppings. Their lines are always long but the service is great! Unfortunately, this was the worst example of a Salata that I've seen (actually been you 4 socal locations). We love the concept, but this was just such a painfully poor execution of a great idea. To start, our salads were warm - obviously not whata leafy green salad should be. I suspect the heat was due to mixing bowls straight out of a dishwasher (metal mixing bowls should be chilled). Next it was soggy, partially due to wilting from the heat, but also because the apathetic girl tossing my salad grabbed handfuls of spring mix and twisted them? This bruised and essentially killed the beautiful vegetable. Worse part had to be the service though. Two sad, bored girls whip didn't know what they were doing and asking loudly (and dismissively) after each ingredient, "IS THAT IT?" Rather than the welcoming, "what else would you like?". Wish I could give 0 stars to a place like this. Owners are negligent to allow people like this to work at their business and should feel shame for putting such a horrible product out. To the owner: close the restaurant and open a 7-11 to sell old hot dogs. Your employees work ethic and your leadership will be a great fit. read more

I'm all for the healthy salad eating lifestyle that LA is known for. But if I wanted to get one, it probably wouldn't be here solely for the fact that I don't agree with spending 13-14 dollars for a food court salad. Your base salad starts off at 9 and you get all the fixings and dressing that you could want. Then if you want some kind of meat protein, you're gonna be spending that extra 3-4 dollars. What further irks me is that not only was it dry and leathery, it had absolutely no flavor unless I dunked it in a glob of dressing. It's pretty unfortunate when you have to go out of the way to make a lunchtime "luxury" purchase tolerable and edible. Came here for corporations class training. Right after the time for lunch, we found this food court next to the building. There are a lot of variety I could choose from. I just felt like eating something healthy. Ordered a regular size salad bowl, you can choose anything from lettuce, cheese, fruit, etc. The dressing was not very good, each item of meat is about $3.5 to 4.5 additional. Heard the lady ask the customer before me and after me if they wanted bread or chips with their meal so when I got to the register I said may I get bread to go with my soup. I love salads and the concept of building your own. What I like about Salata is the toppings are unlimited, unlike some places that give you tiny scoops. They also have seafood options for the protein, and not just shrimp. The fresh lemonades are also really good. I only wish they had one on the Westside. read more

I had a classic Caesar salad and it was pretty good, and all of their ingredients looked fresh, but I thought it was a little weird that when I asked for a little more dressing and they wouldn't do it. I'm paying $9 for a small Caesar salad, and they wanted to charge me a $1 for a side (which was also really small, but much more than I even needed). My salad was also still in the mixing bowl as that's how it's served when you dine-in so it could have easily been adjusted. So silly, but customer service matters. Oh! I just realized. You can pick what type of lettuce you want as the base (I like kale) and then add unlimited toppings from a variety of veggies, fruits, beans, and dressing. Protein is extra, and they have quinoa, tofu and falafel for vegan options. My salad came out to $12 but it is so worth it! All of the ingredients were fresh and the tomato dressing is a great low fat option! I honestly love this place. I come to this spot at least 4 times a week. Their food is alway fresh and they're very generous with their serving sizes. Their employees have great customer service and an incredible amount of patients based off some of the customers they need to deal with. I don't know how they can deal with some of their customers. It all looks fresh, tastes delicious, and there are lots of vegetarian options and gluten-free dressings. I've been eating at Salata for a few months now and I can say I'm a fan. There produce is always fresh and I've yet to have any real issues with any of their veggies. Their only weakness I would say is their proteins. I've tried a few of their chicken flavored variations and also their falafel. All were not very good. Being that this is a salad joint though I don't knock them to hard for it but there's definitely room for improvement, especially when they charge what I think is a hefty premium for protein. Aside from that, I enjoy the salads and different dressings they offer. Came here for lunch with coworkers. The setup here is pretty nice; you get to pick whether you want a salad or a wrap & they'll build it for you. It's kind of like the salad version of chipotle - you go down the line through each section, pick which veggies you want, pick which toppings you want, pick which dressing you want, & then pick which meat you want. They toss everything together for you & then box it up. The price isn't bad either.. about $8-9 per salad but it's a pretty big serving & you get to choose whatever you want in it so I think it's worth it if you're trying to go for a healthy but good option. The workers (term used loosely) behave as if the only reason they have a job is because their parents forced them to work. The person put a good size of salata mix but once i request spinach took out more than half. The other workers were okay but then when they tossed it and put in container it was less than half way full . i had more veggies than salad.
