Such a cute space! It is on Broadway next to other restaurants and shops. I came in with some colleagues after a meeting and the place was quiet for a saturday afternoon. Spacious area with cool seating. We grabbed a table and checked out the menu, which was unique. I had not ate in the morning, so I wanted anything with bacon. I chose the breakfast burrito and a side of fries. The burrito was good but I would have preferred some salsa inside because it was a little dry. The fries were good and the rose was tasty as well. Most of the table got a sandwich with salad and they enjoyed their choice. The waiter was nice but straight to the point when taking our order. If you were still looking at the menu thinking about your option, he would move to the next person. No suggestions no conversation about how to help to decide or upsell something lol. Lastly it was 6 of us and I appreciated the QR code at the table enabling us to pay our bill separately.

Girl dinner? Yes please! Zinque is a happening little restaurant in lively Downtown L.A., with modern- rustic vibes. It was the perfect casually fancy restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day. Not too overwhelming, but swanky enough for a special occasion. Lots of food choices! We had to study the menu a bit before making our selections. We ordered smoked salmon toast appetizer, mussels, steak & frite, pasta, and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The stand out's were their mussels, smoked salmon toast, and dessert. The pairing of smoked salmon over a buttery spread, on top of perfectly crunchy toast was so good! Mussels were perfectly seasoned and big in size. And also, their flourless chocolate cake .. WOW. Do save room for their dessert! One more thing to mention is that they have a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks including mimosa, champagne, and mocktails. Our waiter recommended aperol & spritz, and it was SO good! I loved that I could cheers with the ladies with an actually tasty mocktail. Their price point is really good for the atmosphere and food. I appreciate being able to enjoy good food without an overpriced menu. I would definitely come back! Cheers, Zinque!

Date night with the wifey. What an amazing little spot. A menu that pleases everyone (unless you're one of those that needs chicken nuggets everywhere). The kicker, a very reasonably priced spot that makes you feel like you're on a fine dining adventure. My wife got a pasta that was absolutely delicious. I don't remember the name. My review is for the steak frites. Wow! Perfectly cooked medium rare and the skinny fires were delicious and light. There are two sauce options. I got the chimichurri, and I don't think I'll be able to get anything else. It was that good. I can't wait to come back over here. While the service was friendly, I was left with the impression that they care more about looking cool, than being overly attentive. Hence one star do down.

Came here for a nice solo date after seeing a show.. and just ended with a poor experience. Upon arrival the host was welcoming. He asked if bar seating was okay and I said yes, however I was seated by the POS which is my least favorite seating but even with the constant waiter traffic, it wasn't too bothersome. I ordered the grilled salmon and the flourless chocolate cake. Both were delicious! HOWEVER, the ratatouille was a pile of slimey gooey mush siting on top of the bed of rice, under the salmon. I tried to eat it, but it just was so off putting I couldn't stomach it and pushed it to the side. Now, the real issue was my bar tender / server. After placing my order (I ordered my entree and dessert at the same time, no drinks), he NEVER came back to me. No one asked how I was doing, if everything was okay, etc. I was there long enough for at least one check in. He walked passed twice I believe, but no eye contact lol. I've never experienced that. I had to ask someone else for my check. I asked the person if I could pay via the inKind app, he said yes, gave me my check number and told me how.. but it looks like they still charged my card! So I'm hoping the pending transaction will be dismissed. Either don't sit at the bar here, or just don't come at all.

An intimate little French cafe where I enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner. It looks like its part coffee shop, part restaurant, part old-school LA bar, but tonight it was rather hot inside as we're in a bit of a heatwave. That didn't stop us from ordering the steamy provincial short ribs, cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious and crispy potato gratin. These were incredibly tender and savory. The Japanese sweet potato might have been even better though. Not particularly large but packed with flavor. A little yogurt adds even more sweetness. The Brussels sprouts were admittedly not my favorite. A bit too thick for me, which kept them from getting crispy. The pistachio flavor profile isn't really my favorite either. Despite the Brussels I still had a wonderful time here and our server was great. He was very personable and was QUICK to top off our wine. Loved him!

Had business to do in this area and so happy we chose this cool all day Brunch Spot. That Tartine Loraine was everything brunch is. We set at the bar and could look outside. The food selection is very vast.

Great experience here. Solid place for food and dates The aesthetic is simple and relaxed with district lighting focused at each table. It gives a nice ambiance. Food is great. Salmon was cooked well, as was the rice. Fries were amazing as well. My friend enjoyed the mussels Service was also good. Waiters were really attentive, patient, and gave solid recommendations

Perfect place to stop before a show in the area. The wait was not long but it was only me. The bar seemed to have spots open in decent time. Located near downtown theaters and shops, this can be a good date night or meeting spot. The music wasn't too loud so you can hold a conversation without yelling. I had the pepperoni flat bread which was perfectly cooked with crust edges. The cocktail was tasty.

I had family lunch at Zinqué DTLA today. My Mom treated me for my birthday. Everything was delicious! I ordered the Blueberry Pancakes, and they were perfect -- not overly sweet and had a very healthy version of pancakes, wholesome flavor, which I really appreciated. I've recently stopped drinking soda and sugary snacks for my health and have been exercising daily to manage my blood sugar, so it was great to enjoy pancakes that felt light and healthy. My Mom had the Avocado Toast with a Decaf Americano, and I also ordered a Decaf Americano -- it was very good. My brother ordered the Scrambled Eggs and an Espresso, and he said his meal was delicious as well. The servers were very friendly, and the food and atmosphere were wonderful. I had a great experience overall! Cf) Just one thing ; One bite Fritata was $5. Wow. But, all of other food's price was very reasonable.

Stopped in for breakfast and the bartender / barista/ server couldn't have been nicer. The coffee bar is outstanding. The breakfast selection has something for everyone. I had the protein bowl and was prepared as if in a very high end restaurant! Great presentation. The vibe was farm to table with that dish. The simple egg sandwich was just the right size for a smaller appetite, and the toasty English muffin on that was perfect. The lighting inside was dim, great for an early wake up when you don't want too many bright lights in your face. Nice music. We will be back.

A beautiful and loved all-day open-concept restaurant in downtown for small plates, meals, craft cocktails, la colombe latte drinks, and more! I went to Zinqué few times now and always have a great time with friends. Their Le Breakfast Bowl is my go-to for lunch because its packed with veggies and just delicious! The bowl includes egg, quinoa, avocado, garbanzo beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, ninja radish, mixed greens, burrata, and is topped with miso-tahini dressing. I've tried their lattes here before as well and can't get enough of their iced Hazelnut Latte. It's perfectly sweet and packs the mid-day caffeine fix for me. A noteworthy fun dish I've had here is their Pork Belly Taco. It's a big-sized taco that is rich and packed with cubes of pork belly, and topped with carrots and cilantro for the perfect bite. I had one of these tacos and was full and satisfied. Everyone is very nice here and happy to get what you need. You pay at the counter first or you can sit at the table and order via the QR code. I'll definitely be returning and recommending Zinqué to many friends and coworkers for a great time!

I came here before my concert next door. I arrived 15 minutes before 6pm and made it for their happy hour menu! Cute ambiance - love the indoor/outdoor feel. The shrimp taco was delicious! Everything that we ordered was actually good. If the fries are good, you know it's a good restaurant. Great place to have a drink and dinner before a show!

Do they have valet or their own parking lot?

Do they have any vegan/plant-based options on the menu?

yes, there are a couple of options. You can also check on lezinque.com

Parking available? Or where to park the best?

Hello we don’t offer parking but there’s a few parking lots near the restaurants.

Is this place good for all ages?

I don't see why not .. although I don't see a kids menu. The menu provides burgers and fries at the very least for younger people.

How are they operating during COVID?

They have plenty of patio outdoor seating available on the sidewalk

How late is the kitchen open?

Website says an hour before they close.

Is there a happy hour menu? What are the deals for food and drink?

Hi Erica - yes we have happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm-6:30pm. The menu includes $3-$9 bites (tacos, flatbreads, toasts) and $5-9 beer, wine and cocktails. Thanks!

Do they have happy hour? If so, what are the hours?

Hi Helly - happy hour is 4pm-6:30pm on weekdays. Thanks!

I finally was able to check it off, thanks to a hotel offer with a dining credit. Dahlia is the gorgeous petite space behind the larger ground floor restaurant space now called Cabrillo (formerly Caldo Verde). Dahlia opened as a bespoke cocktail lounge, then began to offer tea. Now it's just tea. There are five 2-tops and two 4-top tables. All food and beverage venues at the Proper used to be under the auspices of famed chef Suzanne Goin and her business partner/sommelier Caroline Styne. They are no longer affiliated with the Proper, but many of their dishes/contributions remain. The last named vestige of them is on the tea menu, "Suzanne's Deviled-Egg Sandwich". The tea menu has several options: Classic, with a seasonal mocktail, or with different champagnes. I opted for the Classic experience, because the mocktail had mocha, not my fave. Server Lluvia was clearly a Dahlia veteran; she offered a tea-smelling of all the teas that interested me as well as crowd favourites. I ultimately chose one of these faves, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which had passionfruit and vanilla. I declined milk/cream, but did get lemon. There were rock sugar sticks on the table. It seems the selection of tea sandwiches and sweet treats changes every so often, although the vanilla bean scone, dried currant scone, Devonshire cream and apricot orange jam seem like constants. The sandwich selection at my visit were: cucumber, crab/creme fraiche, beet hummus on pita, smoked salmon and Suzanne's deviled egg. All were delish, the beet, crab and deviled egg especially. The sweet treats were: orange fig butter cookie, spiced apple brown butter crumble, cranberry frangipane hand pie, chocolate mocha macaron, pumpkin madeleine, plus the 2 scones. All were excellent. There were no leftovers. A bit pricey, but a relaxing and lovely experience. The room was not crowded when I visited, adding to the calmness of my visit.
