What a perfect find! The server might think we mistakenly left double tip. No, there was no mistake. Sometimes a 50% tip is necessary. Someone mentioned this is a total Mom & Pop joint. True statement. Friendly, down-home service in a place that immediately reminded me of a diner version of my Grandma's house. I admit, I was nervous, because my Grandma wasn't the greatest cook (an incredible baker, however that's neither here nor there). The kids menu is amazing. So many choices, and honestly my son picked out 3/4 of the menu to order. Finding him a meal that he wants from a kids menu is not generally this easy! Since Sally B's serves breakfast all day, we settled on a Mickey pancake with an egg over medium on the side. My mom and I both got the #1 breakfasts, bacon extra crispy and hashbrowns extra crispy, cinnamon raisin bread toast, her with eggs over easy, and mine sunny side up, hot tea for me. They had plenty of great tea choices for me and the hot water came out hot, but drinkable, instead of set to nuclear meltdown as many places tend to do. My son's pancake and egg came out first, which made me silently swoon. This place knows that kids need to be set up first! Just after his pancake was buttered, cut, and sufficiently syrup'd, our meals made their way to our table. Perfectly crispy hashbrowns, perfectly crispy bacon, eggs exactly as requested. Doesn't get any better than this! We may have only been in town for a quick day trip, but I know our next drive will certainly include this delicious little spot. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this restaurant. I love that it's cheap, locally owned, and near my house. However, my husband and I are never treated as equals. We are a young couple with a child and we get bitter tones and rushed out, but the elderly couples surrounding us are treated very differently. We went to Sally B's on Christmas Eve to try their Christmas dinner specials. I had the Prime Rib dinner and my wife had the Turkey dinner. This was the first time we had been there, and we were hoping for a good, home cooked meal. It started out well with our salads, and they were good. Our dinners arrived and it was all downhill from there. My prime rib was covered with a very salty gravy. I come from the Midwest, and I've never seen gravy on prime rib in my life. My first bite told me this had been made a day or days ago. Absolutely no beef taste, overcooked and dry, with a strange taste. They covered it with gravy to try making it edible.. It was the worst prime rib I've eaten in my life. If I had closed my eyes I would have thought it was roadkill. One small dollop of mashed potatoes, that were probably instant mashed potatoes out of a box. The gravy was also out of a can with no taste except for the massive amount of salt. The dinner roll looked soft, but it was excessively microwaved so it was so chewy you could barely eat it. My wife's turkey dinner was also awful. Thinly sliced, dry and tasteless turkey. It certainly didn't taste like freshly cooked turkey and it also had a strange taste. It also had the same instant mashed potatoes with canned turkey gravy. The only edible thing on her plate was the candied sweet potatoes, which were good. These were truly the worst meals we can remember having and we certainly won't be back. Sally B's staff must not eat their own cooking, otherwise they wouldn't serve this poor imitation of truck stop fare. read more

I went in for the All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry...so much food for a really good deal. They even had a grilled cod option which was great, the fish was fresh and yummy. So much yummy food and I could have easily had it gluten free...had I passed on the shrimp. Service was pretty bad. Got a coffee with creamer and didn't get the creamer till about 10min after I just got the coffee. The cinnamon French toast came out super undercook, u can still see the goey stuff inside the French toast, definitely not worth getting the combo with the sides. We have eaten here a few times: my husband always goes for the fish and chips, all you can eat on a Friday. Being a vegetarian, I usually have the Garden skillet, which is usually pretty good. The portions are good too. The service has been good each time we have been there. The prices are pretty good too, but have noticed a bit of an increase from the last time we went there. Ambiance - hmmm - OK. Some of the seats in the booths are torn and tatty - does not seem as if any attempt has been made to repair same, which does not look good at all. Was late for lunch, but early for dinner. They have some lunch specials that go until 3:00 p.m., and the early bird dinner specials go from 2:00-9:00 pm., Monday through Saturday. We were in time for either, and although I was planning on breakfast since that's usually what we eat there, the early bird dinner menu caught our eye. My husband got the roast Turkey dinner that came with stuffing and cranberry sauce and he picked au gratin potatoes and onion rings as his sides. Potatoes were nice & cheesy, and onion rings were huge and homemade and delicious. I got the liver and onions which was cooked very well and not overdone. Also got the au gratin potatoes. Ordered the Mexican corn as vegetable of the day and wasn't thrilled with it, so they substituted coleslaw for me. Will definitely be back! read more

We went here for dinner a few days ago and overall thought it was a great place. I order breakfast since they have a $5.99 breakfast special that is valid all day long. A drink is also included! The also have daily dinner specials available for just under $8. If you are a local and have the Prescott area coupon booklet, they have a buy one entrée get one entrée free coupon with purchase of two drinks in the booklet. As for the service, our server was super friendly and attentive. Several patrons seemed to know her as this place has that hometown locals favorite vibe. Sally B's Cafe is located in a shopping center and right next to a Dollar General store. This small locally owned restaurant was pleasantly surprising! Menu was well spread out and simple to navigate. We received drinks right away. The waitress took out order for 5 and we had fresh cooked food in under 20 minutes!! Gyro, pork tenderloin, grill cheese and ham and pancake plates were hot and fresh. Sally lets you split your fries, onion rings and or sweet potatoes no extra charge!! I strongly recommend this home cooking ma and pa place. Wish I had enough space to each the home made pie... We found ourselves in Prescott again, and heard from a local business that this place had good simple food. So we stopped here. As others have said, this restaurant is in the Safeway center on the north side of the road, marked only by a sign that says "restaurant". It appears to be a family-owned venture. The menu is pretty typical American food. Sort of like Denny's, but not quite as varied. We were here for dinner. I had the southern fried chicken meal. I had expected a couple of identifiable pieces of chicken. Instead I received a steak/patty like thing. It was breaded (of course) and fried (of course). It was tasty, but I'm wondering where it came from. Was it some sort of processed patty? I opted for onion rings, and they were excellent. And the lentil soup was very good. The cornbread stuffing was fine. The "vegetable" was mixed vegetables (there was no option), and they were bland and mushy. Boiled, perhaps? Anyway...not good. My wife had the pork chops. They were served similar to my meal (cornbread stuffing, "vegetable", my wife got the fries). Her pork was good, the salad was fine, the stuffing was fine, the vegetables were bland and mushy. Overall the meal was fine. Nothing spectacular, but fine. Service was good. Several people checked on us throughout our meal. Better than the likes of Denny's. One thing of note is their shakes. I had the chocolate, my wife had the strawberry. Real strawberries in hers. They were excellent. I can't go up to four stars based on that, but consider this rating a 3++. Whatever you order for your meal, get the shakes. Very flavorful, and no so thick your jaw gets tired trying to get it up the straw. read more

First time at this place, here's my review: grilled fish cod and battered fish cod had no taste, shrimp and coleslaw tasted great! The lady came to our table and complimented us with a slice of pecan pie "to go". I'm glad it was free because I'm a baker and this was the worst pecan pie I've ever tasted. It was extremely sweet and gooey and the pecans were only on top instead of mixed in with the nuts. I would be ashamed to serve it let alone sell it for $5 a slice! Sorry we won't be back. read more

We love to go here because the food is good, prices are where they need to be and the service is good most of the time. They have a wide variety of choices on the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only down side is, their coffee is terrible. It is very strong (you can tell they pour old pots of coffee into other old pots of coffee; just doesn't taste good, or they are buying bad tasting coffee), so we probably won't go back for that very reason. People expect to have a good tasting cup of coffee with their breakfast. Their management needs to correct that problem, then we will be back. Thank you kindly. read more

We had to try the Friday fish n chips as everyone said they were good. They are good if you get the cod grilled. But I like fried fish and it was not good bathe batter is too thick and that's all I tasted. Do not recommend them for fried fish n chips. As I walked in from the car after a long long car drive. At first time thought it was gonna be a simple restaurant like Wendy's or McDonald's but as we walked in I started to get this cozy warm feeling as if I was at home.
