I can't imagine getting my hair cut by anyone other than Scott R. He is a truly skilled hair stylist. All throughout my life I've had a mini identity crisis every time I got a haircut because it always looked "off" to me. Scott R is the only person who has ever cut my hair that I actually feel confident and excited about the way I look when I leave. The price for a men's cut is reasonable, especially given Scott's expertise and how nice Salon Vive is. The salon itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I don't drink alcohol so I have been very grateful that they serve high quality coffee to their customers in addition to alcoholic beverages. I wholeheartedly recommend coming to Salon Vive to get Scott to lace you up! read more

I decided at the very last minute to get my hair styled for a fund raiser gala in the evening. In a pinch I called Salon Vive 30 mins before closing to see if they could take me in for a blow dry and putting curls in my hair. Bobby checked around with the stylists and told me that they could take me in. He informed me in advance that the stylist who would work my hair would have to step away for 10 mins or so in the middle as he was working on hair color for another client as well. I was ok with that and showed up at the salon 10 mins later. The salon itself is clean, bright and well appointed. There was no wait and I was offered a choice of wine, mimosa, water or soda. My stylist Scott was excellent. We consulted for a few mins and off he was styling my hair. He was professional about checking in with me before using hair products. He was fast and neat. We made a pleasant conversation about travel and my event that evening as he worked on my hair. He did have to step away to attend to the other client but that was less than 10 mins. Other stylists at the salon were also friendly. On check out, Bobby offered to me to apply the 20% discount right away or I could use it later on a bigger service (like cut/color). I liked the fact that he was thinking of saving more money for me. Overall the service was very friendly and my stylist Scott was excellent! I will definitely come back here on other occasions whenever I need to have my hair styled. read more

I called for an appointment last minute and in a pinch - not only did Paul take me just before closing time for a haircut, he also spent the extra time coloring my hair! I was unsure of the exact color I was looking for and having a hard time describing it, but it was as if Paul could read my mind - he knew exactly what I wanted and really delivered. Moved from Humble to Houston a couple of months ago and needed a hairstylist stat right before Thanksgiving so I went online and emailed several salons in town but only Salon Vive emailed me back right away and gave me an appointment with Marina the day before Thanksgiving! Marina was great!! She did color, haircut, and blowout. She left my hair looking spectacular and feeling silky smooth!! The products they use at the salon are top notch--I bought all the stuff Marina used on my hair so I can recreate the masterpiece she did with my hair at home. I got tons of compliments on my hair at the family Thanksgiving dinner. I have recommended Marina to my cousin and a teacher friend already. I will definitely be back when it is time for color again.
