Sal'S Pepperoni Pizza

A very solid NY Pizza spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A quiet little spot with a nice clean design that also has just the undertones of your go to pizza shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It didn't have the red and white tablecloths or none of that, but there was just something about the vibe. Service was great, all the wait staff was very nice and very fast. Pizza was really good. Absolutely nails the flavor. The cheese was flavorful, the dough was thin and crispy, and the crust was cooked to perfection. All was made to order and came out smoking hot. Could maybe use just a bit more depth of flavor and add a tiny little ingredient here or there to really make it pop, but overall it's a really well rounded slice of pizza

We went to Sal's to order pizza on Christmas eve for the entire family. This was my first visit to Sal's and I ordered over the phone. The customer service over the phone was friendly and easy to order. I walked in, my pies were ready and paid and walked out the door. I was very impressed with the pizza. Very big slices, the sauce was a little sweet (i liked it) and it tasted great. I highly recommend getting some pizza. We got three pizzas and two orders of wings for $100. A little pricey but the experience and the food were great. Overall, I definitely will be back as it is one of the better pizza places in the area.

The fuck if I know

There is way too much sauce on this pizza, making it a soggy mess. I ordered over the phone and wasn't told the final price. I can't believe this is a 27.00 pizza. Waste of money. You need to get your sauce to cheese to bread ratio right. I ordered a side salad that only had a few tomatoes on it. I didn't want the croutons or the cheese so you could have added more tomatoes. I had to add to my $6.50 side Sam's

I've been to Sal's a number of times and have really enjoyed the food each time. The pizza is very good and I love the thin crust and the quality of cheese and toppings they use. Came by here with a buddy for a quick bite before taking him back to the airport to fly back home to California. He is a dedicated pizza lover and really enjoyed the pie here, and that says something

Sal's is always a good place for NY style pizza. The staff is always accommodating and quick. The food taste great and the price is reasonable. I have been eating here for years and love how they are always willing to help with my semi difficult order

This was a nice surprise that our hotel suggested. The place was slammed when we arrived which was a good sign. They quickly had us at a table. It did take a while to take our order and get us our drinks, but they were really busy. The food came out pretty quick and both the kiddo and I enjoyed it. We tore thru o we half the large before finally giving up and getting a box. The best part...under $20! Definitely recommended.

The interior is stunning, the service was on point. Professional and personable at the same time. We had the pleasure of sitting outside on a beautiful evening. It was perfect. We started with the tuna tartare and marinated octopus. I'm iffy when it comes to octopus. If it isn't done right, it's horrific. This was so tender, sliced thin, and was a perfect bite with the chilled potatoes. The tuna tartare was equally as good, but the octopus stole show. The tuna has a burnt orange vinaigrette around the outside of the plate. It's more than just a garnish. Make sure you get a bite with the tuna. For dinner we had the bolognese, duck ragu, and braised short rib. All three dishes melted in your mouth. The duck was my favorite, I added a little whipped ricotta to each bite and it was just 10/10. For dessert I asked if they could make a pistachio martini, and gave them the ingredients. Their bartender hadn't heard of one, free poured it, and absolutely nailed it. The cannoli filling was too sweet and too thick for me. It tasted like thick buttercream icing. Personal preference, but I prefer a lighter filling. All in all, I would say don't walk to Luogo...RUN. Reservations are highly recommended.

Not only that, but it was happy hour from 2pm til 5.30pm with buy-one-get-one on beer, wine, and cocktails. I finished off with a delicious cannoli cone. I will definitely be going back. Enjoyed mingling with the waitstaff. They were efficient and very friendly. Large parking lot with some street parking. Some tables are community-style. Order online, not through a server. Go! The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

I took my buddy out for a celebratory promotion dinner to Ophelia's. We're from Huston and staying at the hotel across from this restaurant, we heard great things so on our last night we decided to celebrate his good news here. Within thirty seconds of us sitting down our waitress came out to greet us and pour waters for us. She was incredibly kind and bubbly, beautiful young girl. The service was next level. Our server, Lu lu, gave us great recommendations on cocktails and appetizers. She got to know what we enjoyed and recommended the whipped ricotta to us, which was delicious. Creamy ricotta with honey, oil, spice, and bread. Game Changing bread, perfectly baked. When it was time for our dinner, we decided to get the calzone, lasagna, and a pizza. The food came out within twenty minutes and it was just incredible. We decided for tiramisu as our dessert, but we should've gotten the cream puff, the table next to us got one and it looked great. When our waitress brought out our check she very respectfully asked where my buddy was from, as he has a pretty thick accent. He told her that he's Russian and her face lit up, she immediately started having a full conversation with him in Russian. Apparently, she knows the language conversationally. I mean, what a coincidence. My buddy was so tickled by it, and I think he really appreciated it. We also saw the chef come out and talk to one of the other tables, seriously, people were asking to speak to the chef to give their compliments. All in all, this was a wonderful restaurant that runs smoothly and is very professional. Yet it still remains to make you feel as if you're important and taken care of. Come here if you are able.

Tap in below: Traveling to the south you wouldn't expect a local spot like Nashville to carry some of the best focaccia, but just the traditional garlic and balsamic will leave you impressed. Flavors so pure and a bread just crispy to the bite and soft as you expect a perfectly crafted bread like this. -Focaccia: 5/5 Texturally perfect. Crispy outer with a soft and spongy inner. Complimented extremely well with any pairing crafted in the restaurant. The focaccia with garlic and balsamic was the perfect first bite to guide your experience as a shareable item. -Ricotta di Gnocchi: 5/5 Again, texturally pleasing bite that's met with a delicious sauce that's velvety, cheesy, and rich in flavor with the herbs meeting the palate cutting away the richness. Perfectly paired -Potato focaccia: 4.5/5 One of my favorite bites that's met with a lemon zest while staying rich and creamy, the focaccia is covered and smothered with this delicious sauce that's a cream of potato and met with Parmesan and lemon, 2 flavors you wouldn't expect to pair so well but compliment each other extremely well. Giving this a reduction of .5 because the bread turns a little too mushy if you don't eat the entree quickly. Which some may like! -blondie: 5/5 Over heard the chef talking about soft serve and ice cream being offered and I had to listen in and order the dish. I'm not much of a desserts person but this was a concept executed flawlessly. Caramel thats met with berry for freshness, ice cream for richness, and sesame for a popping texture that's pleasing. All married to a golden brownie that's crispy to the bite and soft on the inside. Very well matched with each other and just a delicious bite to end the meal. I still remember every bite and can say that being from out of town, I would recommend this spot to anyone. Unique, amazing vibes in the restaurant, and just what I'd call a gem of a hole in the wall. Very well done!
