The al pastor was cooked perfectly - not dried out like you get at a lot of places. The hot sauce selection was good - the habanero salsa was very hot but had good flavor. They get a lot right for simple burritos and bowls portioned generously with tasty ingredients. Their meats are very good, especially the barbacoa and steak. All of their sauces are fresh and very solid. My only complaint was one bad breakfast burrito. I ordered it with sour cream (one of the uber eats menu options), and they must have added it when the eggs were piping hot, because it completely melted and left a soupy burrito. Came here opening day and my experience was flawless. I got the burrito with carne asada. The tortilla was toasted which gave it a nice texture. The meat was perfectly seasoned and not too oily at all. The rice was just right. I paired it with a variety of salsas. The habanero has a kick and couldn't stop putting it on the burrito. I washed it all down with a frozen marg with a grand marnier floater. These frozen margs will be perfect for the summer as they have the consistency of a slushy or icee. I got the mushroom taco and the carnitas taco and that was more than enough for dinner. The salsas are hot and made fresh. This spot just recently opened up on West Campus and I personally think it has a lot of potential. I would recommend skipping the tacos and get the Campeón Burrito instead. It was a hefty portion, but super flavorful and I didn't think I was going to enjoy it as much as a did! But if you do get a taco, get the El Capitan and order it with your choice of meat. They also have margaritas by the PITCHER, which they make a little on the strong side, so drink with caution. Oh as a plus, they also have a parking lot! Wow. If you like "Mexican" food completely DEVOID of flavor, then Salsa Limon is the place for you. We haven't been going out a lot other than our local downtown spots since it's been nice to be cooking back at home after being gone for so long, but came here on Friday night. HUGE MISTAKE. The food is terrible, and this new restaurant will go the way of the doomed popsicle place before it and be closed soon enough. Their preferred ingredient here is AGUA. The queso and salsa were watery and bland and the "margaritas" tasted like someone squirted some lime in some water and splashed tequila on top (the "frozen" one was like a slushy that had been sitting out all day; also, both drinks were served AFTER the food arrived). The guac was nothin' but mashed avocado and the "salsita salad," which is advertised as having "mixed greens" arrived with only iceberg and--you guessed it--the most watery and flavorless dressing imaginable. We got it with barbacoa, and this places manages the miraculous feat of of making something as special as barbacoa taste boring and lifeless. The El Capitan taco was the only thing that showed signs of life and seemed to have seasoning on it. Our daughter's quesadilla was standard and her beans tasted like they came straight out of a can. The benches are significantly lower than the height of the table, so eating is awkward. Service is friendly-ish at the register, but stops at that. Honestly, we cannot even believe that this place has lasted this long. Are they just hoping for the El Patio patrons unwilling to wait to meander over? Came here for breakfast to see if we could salvage a terrible breakfast at 24/7 diner. It turned out to be a "best of the worst"contest. We ordered the chilaquiles and migas. Get this, they get tortilla chips and ladle sauce over the top, sprinkle their toppings and call them, chilaquiles! Fail. The migas are an embarrassment. After reading other Yelpers' reviews, this place was on my "to try" list, so I met my daughter for an early lunch. We were so early that no other customers were there, which made us a bit nervous. Our fears were unrealized after we watched other patrons arrive and we received our order: a large Salsita salad with Al Pastor (your choice of meat) for my daughter, a Barbacoa taco with queso for me, along with an egg and potato breakfast taco with avocado. I'm sorry that I forgot to snap photos but my daughter and I had a lot to talk about as we devoured our meal. They had 4 types of salsas on the help-yourself-counter--a creamy verde, a fire roasted red, a hot piquin, and a habenero. All made good accompaniments. The Al Pastor meat was perfectly cut and cooked so it stayed tender. It didn't have a big pineapple flavor so a tastier version may be found elsewhere, but it was good nonetheless. The Barbacoa was shredded and melt-in-your-mouth, probably because the fat was left on for cooking and shredding. Personally I think fat adds flavor and tenderness so I'd order it again, but it bears mentioning for those fat-averse people out there. The eggs and potatoes were perfect on a flour tortilla that was thin, but not so thin as to lose its structure from generous fillings. We both liked the flexibility of the menu which allows you to add extra proteins or toppings as you please. I also was overjoyed that this place serves breakfast items all day. Why do other restaurants cut off breakfast tacos at lunchtime? Is there a rule that I don't know about, a rule that states you can only eat eggs during morning hours? Bah Humbug to that stupid rule; everyone knows that "Brinner" can be a great thing! I encourage you to check out their menu online so that you can dream up your own tasty combinations! Oh, and I have a suggestion for the restaurant: please add freshly brewed iced tea to your beverage list. My friend and I have been waiting for this spot to open near campus since a lot of places have been opening and closing due to COVID. We finally stopped in on a Friday afternoon for breakfast/lunch. There are ordering kiosks to the left of the entrance inside that I wish I had noticed before ordering at the counter. The employees still seem a little lost and I tried ordering a breakfast burrito with bacon with a Bloody Maria sub vodka. With tip it ended up being $25 and I ended up with a regular burrito that had beans, rice and bacon. The burrito was still good but I was just disappointed when I was expecting breakfast. I didn't say anything because my food had already take awhile and I didn't want my friend to have to wait. She ordered chilaquiles and said it was good but spicier than she expected and before she could eat much of it her plate kind of looked like mush. The salsa was decent but it's a very small portion as pictured and it's not complimentary. The bloody Marias were really good and don't have that tomato juice texture that most bloody Marys have. The parking is very sparse so you may have to street park and walk if they are busy and I wouldn't come here with a big group. The patio looked nice but it was a little hot to sit outside.
