Best Fish tacos of my life. And that is really saying something, I've been eating fish tacos for 50 years!! Beer batter was perfect. Fish was exceptional quality. Tacos are good sized! Side sauces so delicious. Hubby ordered 2 beef and chicken taquitos. He lived them, saying they were the best taquitos he's ever had. "You've got to try one!" The most amazing part is that we stopped to eat because it was time for lunch and we happened to see this place while we were at Auto Zone. We weren't even starving! Well done guys- so good. Taco Tuesday at Salsa was a great idea. Ok I had a burrito but it was great. I had a chicken, rice, cheese, and fries burrito...you read that right...fries. We were welcomed by employee Liz. Liz offered us wonderful customer service. I introduced myself as difficult because I can be a handful when I order. Liz laughed and answered all my questions. Liz took all of our orders and read them back with a smile. I gave Liz a high five. It was not a long wait and our delicious food came out. Two taco salads and two burritos. All our food items were made correctly and were very tasty. The meals sizes were a good amount for the cost. But the best part of my experience with Salsa was the customer service. Pretty good burrito but I honestly had better. I got the regular burrito with Al Pastor. The burrito was pretty small for $14 but I don't mind the size. It was pretty good. I wish they put a little more meat In my opinion, it was more of a bean burrito than Al Pastor. The service was nice. They brought the food out to your table. read more

A friend recommended the establishment to us! He lives in Bishop and we were traveling through. Boy, was he right! The food was delicious. I had carnitas tacos and beans. I don't usually get rice as I typically don't care for Mexican rice but in this case I was wrong. I tried my husband's rice and it was very tasty. Our friends ordered a shrimp burrito that was so large she couldn't finish it and her Honey had the fish taco and absolutely NO complaints. The service was personal, friendly and efficient. These are really good tacos and this will probably be my spot to eat when in Bishop. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices are a little high and there's better down southern Cali where im from, but if you want some.really good authentic style tacos come here. The fish tacos came with a chipotle sauce not the typical white sauce like ensenada which was disappointing but the chipotle sauce was good just not the kind I was craving. I think the meals should come with rice and beans and a grilled jalapeno for the price, but considering it's in Bishop I was pretty impressed with the flavor and taste of pastor and the asada. my son liked the fish tacos I found them to be just okay. read more

Only great experiences here. Our favorite Mexican food when traveling up or down the 395. Both locations Bishop and Mammoth Lakes are worth stopping for. Bishop has much more dine in seating. Mammoth location only has a few indoor seats. Not a problem when the sun is out. Honestly, all the other Mexican food places between Carson City and Victorville on the 395 range from bad to even worse. read more

Got some food to-go. It was good. Nothing spectacular but good. My husband tried almost every kind of meat in 5 different tacos. He liked the Lengua and Cabeza the best. The meat was very tender. I just had a bean and cheese burrito. I'm scared when trying new Mexican food! The beans were a little runny, but reminded me of home made, and tasted good. This place has some Birria the way it is supposed to be made with the spicy red sauce ( couple drops at a time) and the birria broth (consomé my wife informed me). The salsa is tasty and my kids liked the shredded chicken tacos not street small street style but hearty) and crunchy beef rolled tacos. We also added the quesa birria special tacos (we were hungry and now full) and the nice lady at the front counter even gave us some tips for hiking in Mamoth! Great breakfast burritos (huge!), carne asada and a fully stocked salsa bar with 5 homemade salsas. Prices were higher than we are used to for similar taquerias in LA/OC but the flavor and authenticity were on the money.
