5/5 stars! I recently had the pleasure of hosting my graduation dinner at SALT Bar & Table, and it was truly the best experience I've had at any restaurant. From the moment I booked the event, Steven was exceptional. He was very attentive and responsive, even months prior to the event, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. When Steven had an unexpected emergency and couldn't be there on the night of the event, he kept me informed and introduced me to his team members who would be handling my event. This level of communication and professionalism was impressive. Christine and Dan did not miss a beat! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to my requests, and the waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable throughout the evening. But the real highlight was the food - it was amazing! The atmosphere at SALT Bar & Table is an overall vibe! I would highly recommend SALT Bar and Table to anyone looking for a special occasion or just a great night out. I tried Salt for the first time last week & it was amazing. Definitely one of the best Whiskeys sours i've ever had, the Salt Sour. They put a little bit of amaretto in there and I loved it!! I also tried the fries with crab meat, oysters, and edamame eggrolls & I know i'll have a hard time deciding whether to re order them or try something new next time i come because they were all amazing! Wow! I was not expecting to walk into possibly the most classy restaurant on the island. Yes, there are more expensive or more nautical spots but Salt has been tastefully remodeled and the food was as good as any I've been to. It's very clean and my germaphobe wife was very pleased. I had the flank steak with truffle fries and the steak was perfectly marinated, seasoned, and cooked. The bar is beautiful also, as is the outside seating under lights and palm trees. Parking is limited as are most island restaurants but they have free valet parking. We'll be back. read more

This is my new favorite restaurant! I have already been three times and they just opened! The decor and atmosphere create a great ambiance. Really love the outdoor area as well. Food is incredible! Some of my favorites are the fish tacos, tuna and clam chowder. They also have a great drink menu. Hands down the best place to eat on Anna Maria Island! Do yourself a favor and try it. I stumbled upon this place just driving around on the island. I didn't realize it had just opened. I was instantly amazed when I walked in and saw the decor. The place feels like something you would see in LA or Miami. The food was fantastic and service didn't disappoint. Also disappointed that it claimed to be basque cheesecake but it was just a regular cheesecake so why call it basque Also worth noting that they were out of most of the dishes we originally wanted to order so we had to order something else. Get there early. The service was great, our server noticed we didn't like the cheesecake and took it off the check which I appreciated. I would come to this restaurant again but note that the food itself is not that most thought out and flavorful, the place relies on its physical presentation.

Had a horrible experience at Crab N Fin on St Armands Circle in Sarasota last night. Waitress was a…read morebit bothered, my wife ordered a Filet Steak Tartare appetizer but was pulled away, our granddaughter was a bit overtired and was taken home early by my daughter in law. She eventually got back to the table and we all commenced eating. The appetizer (ordered as an entree along with another one) just wasn't liked. We were hoping she might take the appetizer off the bill. Its not an inexpensive place, you know. Her response was, you should have told me earlier. We more or less dropped the subject. I saw her most likely explaining the situation to the manager, showing him the check. Well, he did nothing...the check was presented in full. Manager didn't come over to express regret or ask why we were less than pleased about the meal, or even offer a dessert. Food has been good for a long time here and most of our meals were superlative. They've lost long time customers. We'll never step foot in there again, and business was really scarce that evening. My wife dined there for years and years and loved Robert who was manager/host. He saw her kids grow up, every Friday for dinner. She is done with the Crab N Fin. I am too. We were really looking forward to this dinner, mind you the kitchen is good. This new management is not.
