Upon walking in, the hostess wasn't there for a while but when she did come back she was accommodating as we ended up with one more person than our reservation was for and she brought over an extra chair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor, menu and overall vibe gives the impression of very expensive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also was told that it was very expensive however, there were 5 of us and 4 of us had alcoholic beverages, 4 ordered an appetizer, we all enjoyed our meals (2 had the halibut special, one had the sabil fish, one had the pork chop and I had the Tortellini) and 2 had dessert. Our bill was just under $500. I would go back.

Love with the new breakfast at Salt! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They've brought their signature chill vibe and 'best-in-town' customer service to the morning hours (6 AM-10 AM).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The French Toast is amazingly fluffy with a unique crunch, and the omelets are just as delicious. Free coffee with your meal is the perfect touch! It's easily the most unique breakfast menu downtown. If you're coming early, parking is easy right nearby before the meters start at 8 AM. Would recommend for breakfast or dinner!

I thought Salt was great. Confused by the bad reviews. Had a great 60th birthday dinner for my dad. All the dishes were creative and tasted very good. Server was well informed and had A+ recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was luxurious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Scallops, halibut, appetizers, dessert all top notch. Would come back anytime I was in Juneau.

Had a fabulous meal last night at Salt. They were busy so we took a table in the bar and Erica took great care of us all evening. The food was fabulous! I had the spotted prawns and my hubby had the King Salmon special. Both were delicious! We also had cocktails which were delicious, mine was a unique pear concoction. Capped off the meal with pistachio cheesecake with blueberry compote. Again - delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the atmosphere and all staff was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a cheap meal, but if you have the funds, it's definitely worth it! It was a special treat after eating lots of bar type food on our trip. Highly recommend Salt for a wonderful upscale meal in Juneau!

Great food! Great service! Best Vegetarian food I've had in a restaurant EVER!!! Go to this restaurant!

The only picture I snapped was of this gorgeous dirty martini! The bartender is wonderful

Sat at the bar alone and had really wonderful service! Drinks are amazing and the food is the best I found in Juneau. The French onion soup is a must have! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is probably the nicest place in Juneau too, a little more upscale but very cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A little pricey, but so is anything in AK- and it's worth it! Waitstaff is super friendly (just like everyone I met in Juneau!)

March 2023. Honestly I give this place 3 stars because it was so MEDIOCRE for how expensive it is. The crab bisque came with a red lobster biscuit right in the middle of it that you could buy and make yourself from Costco. (No authenticity). The calamari was so boring. Nothing wonderful and came with cocktail sauce that I could buy from Walmart. 0/10 on that. The crab bisque was extremely filling and a large portion, it was good but not spectacular. The filet was the best thing I had all night. However still mediocre. Basic baked potato. Best thing on the plate was the butternut squash. For a $60 dollar dish I expected more. Ps. I will note that I believe because it's the off season that they have the B team working the kitchen. I feel like during peak tourist season they bring in the A team Chefs and the food is probably better. This place was highly recommended by friends and I was expecting much more for the price I paid. Service on the other hand was great. Not one thing bad to say about the servers or bartender. Ambiance was nice as well. Quiet, romantic, and easy access. Just wish the food was better.

Never had a bad experience at salt. I celebrated my 21st birthday here. I celebrated my one year anniversary here with my partner. I celebrated my 22nd birthday here. And I've been there a time or two just for fun. Every waitress I've ever ever had has been a super amazing. They've always given the best advice on what to get, been super honest about their menu. And always recommend great drink pairings with the food. The restaurant in general is just gorgeous, the ambience is so inviting and just stunning. Here are a list of my favorite things to eat at salt. Apps -- gnocchi -- steak tartar Soups and salads -- French onion soup -- Caesar salad Mains -- filet mignon -- lamb -- salt burger -- king salmon Desserts -- caramel apple brown butter cake -- and I don't know the name of it, but it's some type of like moose with cherries and alcohol infused berries that's delicious If you plan on coming to Juno or you want a special date night, I 100% recommend going to salt! You will not be disappointed with anything that you get.

I just had dinner recently here and it was fabulous. Though their menu has gotten smaller, what they do serve is very good. I notice this in several restaurants since the COVID pandemic. I had the oysters rockefeller and lamb tenderloin. They were delicious. I plan to go back again in the future.

There was a line out the door, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to get inside and found seats right after ordering. We ordered two Crab Shack Combos (one with the red king crab leg and one with the Dungeness crab) for about $140 total. Each combo included crab bisque, 4 mini crab cakes, rolls, and butter. The king crab was sweet, tender, and incredibly fresh, the best king crab I've ever had. Also the mini crab cakes were so delicious I could have eaten a dozen more and will definitely be ordering extra next time. I can't wait to come back to Alaska and visit Tracy's again.

So we promptly got in line to wait as they were quite busy. Approximately 45 mins later, we were able to put in our food order at the front counter. We should have been given a 2.5% cash discount per their menu but weren't. Then, we had to find our own table to sit at. Even though it was drizzling a bit, we sat at an outside table because all of the interior tables were occupied. Luckily, the rain stopped shortly after we found a clean-ish table next to a heater. Wait staff brought our food to our table after a short wait. We ordered the #1 Combo Golden King Crab (14 oz) (which came with a small crab bisque, 4 mini crab cakes, garlic bread rolls, and butter), 1 lb of Red King Crab, Pulled Pork Sliders, and a glass of Alaskan Brewing Company Summer (Kolsch beer). While both types crab were tasty, I really couldn't decide whether one waa better than the other. The crab bisque was rich and flavorful; the rolls were soft and tender and went well with the bisque. The crab cakes were also good - nothing outstanding though. And, the glass of beer was super cold and very refreshing! I'm glad we tried Tracy's King Crab Shack despite it being a tourist spot and expensive. Tons of merchandise for sale were plastered all over their walls. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and food.

Cause good golly, wow the first few bites of the crab bisque were insanely delicious!! Probably the best I've ever had. One bite and my eyes were wiiide open like I'd seen a ghost... You know when they say, "save the best for last"? This crab bisque was exactly that. It was so rich and creamy, really incredible. If money wasn't a thang, I'd serve this to every single one of my guests at my wedding (if I ever got married.) I only had a few bites of this bisque cause I knew it was too good and I had two make every bite count so I moved onto the sliders. And the sliders were cutely arranged. They had the perfect amount of spice. The large picks were perfect to keep the sliders in tack. If I had to choose being a slider girl versus breaking up a crab open. This is the way to go. I'm not breaking the bank and I'm enjoying my meal just as much. And I'm not making a mess of myself. But don't let me stray you from getting the whole crab if you're looking for a lot of meat in your mouth. Honestly, I don't know how people do that 'all you can eat' thang on Thursdays because the sliders and crab bisque was more than enough food for me. But if you're looking for a good mixture of coleslaw, spicy sauce, crab n' crabcake then this IS the right choice. Now, if you're a messy eater like me, you'll probably have a lil' bit slipping out of your sliders, but that's fine! This is when you grab yourself a fork and then you got yourself a lil' crabcake coleslaw salad afterwards. Now let's talk about the view, well hot dang! It's like something out of the travel channel! Hello National Geographic, you have a beautifulll view of the water with the mountains in the background. There are tourist traps, and then there's a tourist's paradise, and right here up in the harbor on Whittier Street is a lil' slice of heaven like you ain't never seen.

We ended up tasting the Red King Crab, the Gold King Crab, the Snow Crab, the "limited special" shelled seafood cup, the lobster bisque, the crab cakes, the rolls, the fries, and the queso. We also had the iced tea cocktail. I personally prefer Snow Crab and it did not disappoint The Iced tea cocktail was also really good. While it is not my preference the Red King Crab leg was also outstanding. Had these been my only items, I would have given the review 5 stars. The lobster bisque, queso, fries and rolls were good if you are in the mood for those items specifically. The seafood cup, which you would think came from the same crabs, was disappointing. It was dry and required the cocktail sauce and lemon. The photograph made it look like there were big chunks, but it was pretty much shredded. I asked the older lady cashier about it when we first ordered the crab legs and then ordered this in our second round. I feel she could have given a little more infirmation about it. Either way, I would not order that or the crab cakes again. If I am even in Juneau again, I'd definitely save my money up fir a stop here!
