We had a great meal while sitting outside by the river. The food was very good, and our waitress was exceptional.

After being turned down by 6 other Branson restaurants who advertised outdoor seating and being dog friendly, this is the only one that accepted us on the patio. So if you are on a first date this is the place to go if you need more time to really convince your date what a catch you are. It was our 1 year anniversary and I didn't need 1 hour and 15 mins to convince my wife to go home with me lol. Glad we didn't have any other plans after this Saltgrass would have screwed that. Our waitress, manager and food was all good... but when you wait that long it really puts a damper on your experience. Seen other reviews thought no way not Saltgrass they are top notch place... well I'm here to tell ya... you'll be there for a LONG time and the food is comparable to other steak houses with faster times. My boyfriend and I attended this restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day and were delighted by every aspect of the service we received. We had initially been told there could be as long as a twenty five minutes wait but it was anticipated to be less- 2 minutes later we received a notification that our table was ready. (Pro tip: if there is an expected wait sit out back by the fire it makes time enjoyable while waiting!). We were seated and notified that our server may be a few minutes getting to us, no worries- thanks for the communication! Once our server arrived she was very professional and friendly. The started wheat bread was delicious paired with the butter enriched with honey ?¿ Our waitress was well educated on the drink menu and was able to make reccomendations based off of specific characteristics of the drink! The manager Bryan brought out my wagon cut as I had asked for it to be up cooked, I saw him making rounds to multiple tables cultivating a personable experience. We went here on a Saturday night and got right in. Our waitress was awesome! The bread that is given to you as you arrive was probably one of the best loaves of bread that I have had. To each their own. The potato soup that I ordered was super tasty as well. I ordered a steak and shrimp entree, wasn't impressed nor dissatisfied. In planning my families vacation and birthday celebrations, I called to make a reservation. They told me they couldn't take reservations but to have someone come and out our name in early for when we'd like to. While on the phone I asked if there was a dairy free menu or suggestions. I was told that "obviously meat and vegetables would be dairy free", & to read the menu when I'm there. Annoyed at the snooty response, because I did look at the menu online and in ever picture of steak there's a slab of butter that it was cooked in. So no, obviously the meat and veggies aren't safe. The same snootiness continued a few days later when we arrived to put our name in and when my brother asked if they were seating at half capacity or how many people were in front of us for the wait to be 2 hours. The greeter was not inviting at all. While at dinner, I informed my waitress that I needed dairy free for the sake of nursing. I ordered the chopped steak with no cheese! And attempted to added mushrooms but they were out, (bummer but understand). I also ordered the green beans, knowing they'd be a safe bet. My meal came out with a huge dialup of mashed potatoes. I let the deliverer know I couldn't eat them due to dairy and they brought me the exchange. My husband ordered a medium well $30 Tbone and as pictured you can see was medium rare. He couldn't stomach it. My niece ordered the children's sirloin which was so chard that it was tough to chew for her! I'm not sure the waitress knew of my mess up, or came back to ask my end of the table about anything. The other end let them know about the steak and it was compensated for. Here's a great tip. If you want to have a wonderful dinner here, but don't want to pay for an expensive dinner, go for the early dinner. You can get some great meals like steak and shrimp for 12.99. That's what we did. My cousin and I went to the early dinner and ordered the steak and shrimp. The wait staff was especially good with food allergies and special diets. My cousin is on the keto diet and I cannot have onions. The waitress helped us design our order to exactly what we wanted to eat. I noticed they had a special for 5.00 for select wines, so I selected a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Having been in a Saltgrass Steakhouse before, I had an idea of how the food would be. But they surpassed it. The salad was incredibly fresh and the wine was one of the best I've had ever. But the steak....oh the steak. One bite and I heard fireworks. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The whole meal and service was absolutely outstanding. Easily the best meal of the trip. My only problem...we don't have a Saltgrass Steakhouse in Tulsa. read more

I later talked to corporate office who told me neither was true. while we were there 4 other parties came in and left when told no lunch menu. How in the world is this place getting five star reviews?? Blows my mind. Maybe I shouldn't write a review off my first visit combined with the giant fireworks show happening tonight...but I'm going to. There is clearly a reason why the restaurant across the street had a 2 hour wait and Saltgrass was 30 minutes. Those people all knew something we didn't. This was like eating dinner in a middle school gym. Plates and trays were dropped FOUR times during my visit--one time we got lucky enough to have a dirty plate of fries dumped right on our feet. The floor was covered in food and napkins, and the bathroom trash was overflowing. The bartenders were apparently trying to be cute and toss things to each other. Too bad neither of them could catch. It was just a loud, disorganized circus. Finished the bread and salad before my food came, which never happens. That means the food took way too long to come out...funny, considering I had cold steak medallions and a 400 degree sweet potato. Plus, the plate looked absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu. I ordered a dish with no price listed based on that picture..and it was beyond disappointing. The butter was slapped on the side of the potato, and the chimichurri was not in a cute jar like the menu promised-it was scooped on the plate in a definitely non cute way. I really wished I had waited the two hours across the street...I KNOW their food is good and we would have not been treated like this: Our server told us we were welcome to go to the patio and watch the fireworks--mind you, the restaurant was closed and there was plenty of space outside. We were not out there two minutes when some little employee asked if we had a reservation and sent us back inside even though we said our server sent us outside. I'm sorry, but I am a paying customer...who is standing quietly against the wall. I am not herding lots of kids or getting in anyone's way...and I got poo-poo'd by some teenager. So we stood on the wet sticky floor next to the drippy, leaking margarita machine and looked out the window. FYI, don't order a margarita. Actually, don't make an hour drive for a birthday dinner like we did. It was beyond a waste of time. For a $90 meal, the atmosphere sucks and the food is reminiscent of Applebee's. Had our meal here on Friday afternoon. We ordered the 6oz sirloin ordered medium well it was cooked so much that I had chard side. My husband ordered the same thing his was so dry. I ask if I could get a bake potato instead of mashed potatoes or French Fries yes but it will cost you 2.29 extra. Potatoes are still Potatoes no matter how they are cooked or prepared. So I opted for green beans that had been cooked for a while. No taste. My husband got French fries that were limp. Salad looked like they had been setting for a while. To most this would be a cheap meal at 40 dollars that's included tip but not to us. Also the bathroom were Terrible!
