We haven't been to Saltgrass in quite some time. I had received a gift card for my birthday so we decided it was time. The food was cooked to our liking. The presentation was a little off, but everything tasted good. Olivia, our server, was really sweet and attentive. I'm not really sure why we don't come here more often. Sometimes when the service is bad I won't go back for a while, but we had a really enjoyable time. It was quite romantic when the lights completely went out in our area. I was kind of hoping they'd bring in some candles. The situation was resolved right away and we were able to continue our meal. I would come back if we were in the area.

Walking in, Host is nice. Server was friendly. Prices were outrageous, ive been a professional cook for 8 years and for the prices it is the worst quality and most lazy cooked steak i've ever eaten. edges tastes like burnt seasoning, fat on the ribeye cap wasn't seared to give that bone marrow texture and was flopped around. there was a lot of silver skin. $46 is fkin insane. i feel ripped off and unsatisfied. i came here to eat before i leave for the Navy. and this was not what i was hoping before i leave. 2 stars because ive been to salt grasses that were good but this one was not it.

I'm really not sure why the low rating, the service, food, cleanliness, and atmosphere were all fantastic. The steak was well seasoned, had a good char and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Quail poppers are absolutely great and I love the fried green beans! Great experience, will be back. Thank you to Nicholas for being such an attentive and professional server!

    Bacon fat

The bourbon glaze bacon has a great taste, however, if half of the bacon order is fat meat. It's not worth the price.

I have reviewed Saltgrass Steak House in numerous locations in town several times but this visit was worth a review. It was a busy time in the middle of the day on a Saturday and I was so impressed with our service. Our server was great and the food was all served cooked perfectly and in a timely manner. What impressed me was how actively involved the manager was in interacting with customers and facilitating service with a busy staff. Great customer service!!!

A Sunday Surprise at Saltgrass Steakhouse This past Sunday, what started as a casual stroll turned into a delicious adventure. I found myself at Saltgrass Steakhouse, a restaurant I honestly hadn't planned on but am glad I stumbled upon. I learned that Saltgrass is part of the Landry's family of restaurants, which explained the polished service and well-thought-out menu. Before I even ordered, the staff offered me their Rewards membership. At first, I hesitated when they mentioned the $25 fee, but then came the catch: you get it back on your next visit, plus a $25 birthday credit. Not a bad deal if you're planning to return--and after my meal, I knew I would. Starters: Queso with a Twist For an appetizer, I tried the queso with brisket, which was rich, smoky, and absolutely satisfying. Instead of just chips, they also brought out house-fried chicharrones, giving me two different textures to scoop with. Both were excellent, but the chicharrones really stole the show--light, crispy, and perfect with the creamy queso. The Main Event: Steak + Crab My entrée was a beautifully cooked steak topped with lump crab meat--a decadent combination that felt special without being over the top. It was served over fried asparagus, which added a unique crunch, and paired with a fresh salad and their signature warm bread. For my side, I went with a sweet potato, which was perfectly baked and comforting. Dessert Worth the Space Though I was already full, I couldn't resist ordering dessert. The homemade carrot cake arrived in a generous portion--moist, spiced just right, and layered with creamy frosting. It was so big I ended up cutting it in half and enjoying it over two days. Truly a sweet ending. Final Thoughts Saltgrass Steakhouse delivered on all fronts: quality ingredients, hearty portions, and attentive service. It's the kind of place that feels equally right for a casual dinner or for entertaining out-of-town guests. Between the brisket queso, crab-topped steak, and that unforgettable carrot cake, this restaurant has officially earned a spot on my go-back list.

The food here is good, it's not over the top but good for a big chain restaurant. I ordered the brisket tacos and the flavor was very good but they were served in a skillet and the bottom was full of grease, so ask for lots of napkins! My side was fries and they were on the soft side, no crunchy outer shell. Service was very good, and plenty of seating, clean and good music, not too loud.

Visited during restaurant week on a Thursday and was amazed by the food , service, and ambiance. This was a great opportunity to try some dishes I have never ordered before at Saltgrass for such a great price! I started off with the range rattlers! Large shrimp with jalapeño and cheese! Very delicious! Salmon Oscar was exceptional. For dessert I wanted the chocolate cake but they were all out so I tried their cheesecake still very tasty!!! Our server was wonderful and it was nice that at the Bandera location there was a very relaxing and come as you are vibe!

From the moment we stepped into 6 Klicks Cafe, the vibe was immediate--warm, welcoming, and real. Not forced, not corporate. Just genuine energy. The kind of place where you already know you're about to eat good before you even see the menu. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right. Crispy where it needed to be, flavorful across the board. Portion size? Let's be real, it felt like they made the plate for two people. ________________________________________ ‍ Service Service was top-tier. * Greeted immediately * Server knew the menu and helped us decide * Drinks came fast (shoutout to that blackberry tea ) * Food came out in under 10 minutes No waiting, no confusion, no "let me check on that" energy. Not really festive for us 4 girls dressed up as I thought we'd sit by a window but we made the best of it. Kenzi was our server and she was bubbly and my friend told her she looks like "Taylor Swift" and Kenzi said she gets that a lot. The birthday girl and another friend arrived early, before me and my other friend so they both ordered appetizers and drinks. One ordered a beet/radicchio-arugula/goat cheese salad and a mocktail and the other one ordered a wedge salad and Espresso Martini. My friend shared her beet salad and it was delicious! We all ordered the Pork Chop Special and I ordered a 15 oz. Prosecco. They have 2 sizes: 5 oz. and 7.5 oz. When our entrees arrived we dove right into them. I haven't had it in a long time and this version is now slightly sweet, smoky and caramelized all over which is nice! It came with a side of whipped potatoes and applesauce. Of course we all couldn't finish it so we took our leftovers home. A couple of friends even ordered Pork Chops to go for their hubbies. One friend orders the Pork Chops from Seasons 52 and she was impressed with this one as well as the deal! She also scarfed on the bread and was raving about it but ate so much before the Pork Chop arrived that she was a little full! Kenzi came by once in awhile so we just poured our own waters from the carafe we set aside on the shelf behind. She took it, though but came back later to pour more. For a bday dessert choice, my friend ordered the trio of mini desserts so we could all try them. Nice little bites after a heavy meal. When we paid, Kenzi accidentally put my bday friend's Pork Chop on mine and added the bday salad and drink on my other friend's tab when she was supposed to pay for all of the bday friend's meal. Kenzi apologized and corrected it. She might have been overwhelmed by the volume of people? Restrooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies. We used it before we left then went to the front to have photos taken. When I asked the hostess/check-in area, where there were 3 female employees, one female employee said "Sure" yet one female just looked away dismissively which I thought was odd. I just had a questionable feeling because we were sat in a corner and then the female turning her head away felt like she was ignoring us. I know they're busy seating people but this was already 2:45pm. We could talk comfortably at a normal volume, which already put this place ahead of a lot of spots on a weekend night. Service set the tone immediately. Our server, Mario, was excellent. Kind, professional, attentive without hovering, and his recommendations were spot on. On top of that, the entire staff signed an anniversary card for us, which was a genuinely thoughtful touch. The manager, whose name I unfortunately did not catch, stopped by our table, congratulated us, and treated us to a dessert and two glasses of champagne on the house. That kind of hospitality is rare and it mattered. We started with the deviled eggs. They were overfilled in the best way and topped with maple bacon that complemented them perfectly. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. It was not overly creamy, had small chunks of clam, and was well seasoned. All it needed was a little black pepper, which is an easy fix. For entrées, my wife ordered the redfish and I had the Maui steak. The redfish was fresh and cooked perfectly, not dry at all, finished with a light lemony butter sauce. The couscous was properly cooked and well seasoned, not bland, and the asparagus had a subtle grilled, almost barbecue-like flavor that worked really well. My Maui steak was a 16-ounce boneless ribeye in a tangy marinade with hints of garlic and pineapple. The balance was excellent. Tender, juicy, and cooked a true medium rare. It came with smashed potatoes that were creamy and smooth without being thick or dry. Exactly how they should be. Dessert sealed it. The carrot cake was outstanding. Warm, soft, moist, not overly sweet, with fine shreds of carrot and nuts throughout. Honestly, it is arguably the best carrot cake I have ever had. Overall, this was a great experience. Service was top-notch. The manager makes regular rounds to check on tables, which shows real leadership. There are cards at the front listing the manager, assistant manager, and chefs by name, which signals pride and accountability. The only downside is the interior lighting. It is slightly dim and takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. That said, the staff more than makes up for it with warmth and professionalism. Big thanks to the entire team, and congrats to Mario on his engagement. We will absolutely be back.
