Went to this Red Lobster location on a Saturday evening to find it practically empty apart from 3 other tables and large loud party towards the back that was celebrating a birthday. The lack of patrons was a big surprise to us. It happened to be the last night of Endless Shrimp, which we didn't know about but decided to order it since it was the last chance. The shrimp were OK, nothing exceptional, and we had two rounds each. I wish this restaurant chain would make up its mind about sides! Two sides, one side, back to two sides, back to one side again... when we were last there a few months ago, menu items included two sides after going through a period of offering one side. This time, all the dishes came with one side (even Endless Shrimp) and you could get two sides for an extra $4.99. The dinners overall have gone significantly up in price, some dishes are even priced at $50! For Red Lobster! Anyhow, I asked our server if salad was considered a side and she said yes. I ordered salad as my one side but was charged for it on the bill! I was expecting it to arrive either before or with my meal- since it was a side- but it didn't arrive until I was almost finished with the first round of shrimp, and only after asking about it. Our drink refills were awkward and poorly timed. If you're refilling one, why not refill both? One of us was out of a drink and sipping off the other at different times because our server didn't think to refill both. As always, the biscuits were delicious but we ate the first basket while waiting for our food- she offered more biscuits when our main dishes arrived but we didn't get those until halfway through the meal either. Now we are less surprised that the place was practically empty and wouldn't be surprised if it continued to stay that way. I sure do miss the Red Lobster of long ago. read more

We live around the corner from the Red Lobster at I10 & 1604. We go a few times a month...the main draw for us is the service, because it's always exceptional! They are genuinely glad you're there. Shout out to Kimberly and Laurie, who are our usual servers. Last time we were there, our server was Joel, who was also great. They are always spot on with their timing and have never had to go look for them and they've never gotten anything wrong. This is the first review I've done that the whole first paragraph is about wait staff! Now the food...I know they've been around for decades, but the one thing we can count on is consistency. Everything they serve is cooked perfectly. The last visit we tried the lobster baked potato and it was delicious. We don't choose this restaurant for special occasions, but we love them for a nice, mid-week dinner where we know what we'll be getting. I love my neighborhood Red Lobster . Today I stopped in for lunch, just my luck it's LobsterFest (my second favorite holiday). Adam the server should teach a Master Class. He juggled several tables and made it look easy (hint: it's NOT). He was so very attentive to all of the tables; the food arrived at the right pace and my tea glass never got empty. I got the Lobster Duo. Whomever invented the 'Lobster Chop' is doing the Lord's work. Food was hot, fresh, great. Service exceptional. So walking in and we were greeted, with a wait. Not bad, 5-10 minutes. So far so good! We were seated at a table, and our waitress arrived shortly after to take our drink orders. I'm not fond of low volume talkers, but I guess you can't fault someone for that. Our drinks arrived and the waitress gave us a few more minutes to decide. Which turned into quite a few minutes. Minus 1. Our orders arrived in a reasonable amount of time, brought to our table by another server. Food was very good. Not great, but very good. The lobster bisque was fair, not as good as it used to be. No refills on my drink. Minus again. Overall, I would rate this experience as middle of the road, not bad, but not all that impressive either. I'll give it a 3 star since I can't do a 2.5 which is probably more appropriate. Red Lobster needs to step up if they want to attract people back and avoid bankruptcy again. If their food and service continues at this pace it won't be missed when they go down. read more

The lobster & shrimp tacos were good but I was otherwise disappointed. The lobster pizza was cold and I kinda expected it to be cut into slices. It didn't have a whole lot of flavor. The crab dip was good but I wouldn't get it again. It also didn't have much flavor. The description said "Cheesy crab dip with jalapeños and pico de gallo, served with crispy tortilla chips." I don't think the dip had any jalapeños in it. I also feel like they should've given me more tortilla chips. I only got a handful of chips. I ordered curbside online for the convenience but when I got there I called and they said they don't do curbside. You should really fix your website because I was not dressed to go out in public. When I placed my order I chose the pickup time of 6 but my food was not ready until 6:15. I mean 15 minutes isn't that long but still. It took a while. read more

Our server was Leo and he was fabulous! He made sure all of our food was accurate and did an exercise job serving us! As you can see, we ordered a lot of food! The jumbo shrimp cocktail was fresh! The flavors were there and was a great appetizer! We ordered Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Walt's Fried Shrimp, chicken tenders, clam strips, and the coconut shrimp. Nothing was wrong with our meals! This place has had the most positive turnaround I have ever seen. We went in today and were immediately seated. Even though they were busy, our waitress, Ashley, was immediately at our table asking about drinks which were promptly brought. She was very helpful, suggesting different popular appetizers, and I got the seafood stuffed mushrooms. The bread was also prompt, and refilled as soon as the fresh batch was ready. Our drinks were refilled before they were needed. My son got the fish and chips - a huge serving of fish - perfectly cooked. Ashley checked on us multiple times and was very sweet and informed about the menu choices. The restaurant was noticeably cleaner since our last visit and multiple waitstaff were busy and giving wonderful service to everyone around us. I am amazed at the turnaround and will now highly recommend this place to others. Back story: my son and I both got Red Lobster gift cards last December. We went the day after Christmas and had the worst service ever. The food was good, but we didn't even get what we ordered. The waitress only took our order. Then she would go hide in a corner and would refuse to make eye contact. The restaurant was not very busy, no one was visible from where we were sitting. The other waitstaff filled in to bring everything to us, but we're obviously upset at her. We got no refills on bread or drinks. And there was not enough foot traffic to wave down anybody else. I had ordered the endless shrimp - got the Coconut Shrimp and ordered the Alfredo Shrimp but got shrimp scampi. My son got the Fish and chips. Food was good. Fabulous dish with noodles garlicky and buttery topped by lobster, scallops shrimp and mussels--absolutely wonderful! Of course cheddar biscuits are always freshly baked and mouth watering! Garden Side salad a la cart was huge and great variety of green, spinach, cherry tomatoes and green onion with just right touch of ranch dressing. The bar area was apparently the dirty dishes dumping ground, for the past hour as I sit here, other servers even came by and added to the disgusting pile. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Since we did the curbside pickup due to COVID-19, we went to our daughter's house to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the Family Feast with Shrimp Alfredo, Fish, and Coconut Shrimp. The New England Clam Chowder was great. About the only thing that was wrong was that there were no Cheddar Bay Biscuits (especially since I did order extras). We requested our soup extra hot and it was warm but definitely not hot. Went to Red lobster on 5800 loop 1604 in Satx. Spent $87 on 2 lobster tails and 2 lobster bisque with 2 shrimp salads to go . The lobster looked like crawfish tails! The shrimp salad had 2 small shrimp each on at least 3 day old lettuce and the lobster bisque was mediocre at best. If we had of eaten in the restaurant we both would have sent all back.
