Delicious steak and seafood. The ribeye is excellent. I love their prime rib but they only have it on the weekends. My aunt had salmon and looked really good. They take reservations which is a huge gold star for me in civilized society. Cory was our server and he was terrific with our six-top. Drinks were very good. They have a tasty Bloody Mary. Their table bread is to die for and their sweet potato with all the fillings is a dessert. Bathrooms were very clean and they have a huge parking lot. We ate here at the Parker Colordo location on 12/25/2024 at 4 pm. My wife has a shrimp and artichoke dish with noodles. She became violently ill 4- 6 hours later. We intially thought it was desert. Howeer, then I ate her meal as a left over the next day, and I became violently ill 4-6 hours later. We are both physicians. We can only conclude it was food poisoning. We recently spent a week in Denver with one of my best-good friends. I told him that on our last night I wanted to go to a great steakhouse. He said "Saltgrass it is!". So I spent the entire week looking forward to dinner at Saltgrass. We had reservations for 6:30 on that Friday, so I wore my steak-eating pants and made our way there. I was actually impressed that we were able to be seated at our reservation time and didn't have to wait at all. Made our way to the hostess stand, passing by a bunch of people, and were seated almost immediately. Our server was Alexa, and she was pleasant, if a bit slow on the greeting and drink order. Given it was Friday evening, completely understandable. We perused our menus and I opted to start with at Wedge salad, then a New York Strip, opting for steamed broccoli as my side. At that point I decided to order a Michelada. The menu mentioned the Michelada was made with Modelo. I prefer my Michelada with Pacifico, so I asked if I could get it with Pacifico instead. She said she'd check. I said "Otay!". She came back a little later and said they didn't have Pacifico. After I got done crying I said that Modelo was good, but not Modelo dark. Modelo light was fine. Alexa went away. A little while later my wedge salad was delivered. I've eaten a lot of wedge salads before, but this was absolutely the best I've EVER had. It was amazeballz. While eating the lifechanging wedge salad my Michelada was delivered....with CORONA. CORONA. At no time during the conversation was the word "Corona" discussed or even uttered. Jim said "This was supposed to be Modelo. How did this end up arriving with Corona?!?!" There neve was a satisfactory answer to that question, but I told her I'd drink it anyway. The damage was done. She offered to get it replaced and I said (in an elevated tone) "It's. Fine". (To be fair I am a beer snob. It has been easily 20 years since I willfully drank any kind of Corona product. Corona is several-many rungs down the ladder from Modelo. It not entirely unlike ordering Bud Light and ending up with Milwaukee's Best). A little while later our entrees arrived. My New York strip looked awesome, the steamed broccoli not so awesome. We dug in. While my Strip was cooked the perfect degree of medium, it wasn't hot. It was warm. And it also had a tough, gristly vein running through it. A very hard-to-chew, just-try-to-cut-around-it gristly vein running through it. Not only did it make the steak unappetizing, but it also mean that about 1/4 of my steak wasn't edible. When paying $27 for a New York Strip, that New York Strip needs to be a) awesome and 2) edible. The broccoli was very, very mildly steamed, dry, unbuttered, and unseasoned. Essentially the broccoli had been microwaved and plated. At the end of the experience I was more disappointed than I was anything. The best part of the experience was the $3.49 Wedge Salad add-on. Since my steak, the broccoli, and the Michelada were all sub-par, I paid close to $40 for a meal that I got less than $4 worth of enjoyment out of. Maybe next time, Saltgrass. Again , I think tonight I figured out that pineapple margaritas are not my thing , blech! The fresh bread brought to the table is very good , also the ribs I had were fall off the bone delicious. Had a wedge salad as well, and that was so good. There was prime rib dish ordered at the table and unfortunately there was just too much fat. I over heard the table next to me that the steak was too over cooked and right away they offered to get a new one and they were genuine in trying to correct the plate. One of the worst steaks we could've had. It was my stepdads birthday so I wanted to take him to a nice lunch with my mom. He ended up getting the Cajun steak, by the time it came out it was cold, the steak was thin and the crawfish were smaller than my pinky nail. My mom got the tenderloin tips that were not tender and her mashed potatoes were cold. My steak was okay, the only thing really saving it was the butter on top but my Mac n cheese was bland and looked stale. Our server was super nice and apologetic, the manager on the other hand really did little to help us. She took our food back and had them remake it but my stepdads crawfish was still cold and all he really ate were the brussel sprouts. The manager offered us no discount and did not check on us after bringing our food out. To me it seemed like a low caliber Texas Roadhouse and for the price point of $170 for three people I expected more from the food. Table was sticky and felt dirty. But the food was just basic....ny strip was a little bland for us. Chicken Laredo could have had more avocado and feta.
