Executive decision was made this year about Thanksgiving dinner. I did not want to spend the day slaving away nor did I want the weeks' worth of leftovers to deal with at home and the clean-up. I got an email they were offering a holiday meal and immediately dialed the phone and made a reservation for 4. 2 great friends were able to join us. They were offering the entire menu, the holiday meal and prime rib. We all opted for the holiday meal. It was ample with the classics. Turkey and gravy, green bean casserole, a sausage dressing and mashed potatoes. We had a few of the appetizers. The loaded fries are not the french fry I had thought but more of a potato chunk. Nevertheless they were so good and filling. We were not rushed out so they could turn tables on a holiday, so it looked as though they had things spaced pretty well to accommodate everyone. We opted for the Pumpkin Cheesecake to go as we had already eaten our fill for the moment. Everything was hot and fresh, plated well and tasted great. My review mainly reflects on the service we received. Our server was phenomenal. He went into detail about the menu and recommended his favorites and customer favorites. He cracked a bunch of jokes with us and made us feel like more than just a customer. The food was average at best and over priced, in my opinion, for what we received. Our steaks were cooked correctly but my steak was lukewarm. My other family member I dined with also mentioned his steak wasn't hot either. I received the wrong side and the correct side was delivered quickly but it wasn't warm either. The food wasn't that special or something to go out of your way to get. We decided we probably wouldn't come back. The restaurant was pretty packed for a Monday night. Despite this, we were still able to talk with one another without hearing general noise from the restaurant. Everyone else we interacted with (other servers and hostess) were welcoming and friendly. Best steakhouse ever! I had the Wagon Boss center cut 8 oz sirloin with green beans and a salad and a pomegranate mojito. They serve a delicious bread with honey butter that's the best butter I've ever tasted. Our server Emily was wonderful! Very attentive and friendly! I came here for dinner with my sister. Came here for a friends birthday. When we walked in glad we made a reservation as they looked pretty busy. Once we sat the waiter came over and did not seem to have much interest in making us feel welcome. He didn't really go through anything on the menu (which we told him for most of us, it was our first time dining), the drinks took forever to get, and the food was dropped off by other people and never followed up with additional check ins (which many of us needed things like ketchup, pepper, etc.). Finishing up, I mentioned that it was our friends birthday and his response was, "for $35 dollars your birthday girl can be in the birthday club and get free dessert & dinner on her birthday annually, would you like that?" One of my favorite go tos when I'm hankering for a steak. Great food, same decor as Texas Toadhouse. They are busy most every night so I'd suggest reservations. Service is always great, though I do have one complaint. The managers on duty stop by the table WAY TOO MANY times. I have mentioned it to the managers, but I'm guessing it is a corporate directive. I've always heard of Saltgrass. Not sure if I've ever been to one before, but when my mom suggested this place for dinner I came along. I love the location and the fact that it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The interior is more upscale and rustic with lots of browns and dimmed lighting. The service was good, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. We were greeted when we walked in and sat right away. The food is well seasoned and my chicken was so juicy. I enjoyed every bite! The quality and flavor is there, but I think that it's a bit expensive for the amount of food that you get. The waitress said they don't do anything for birthdays, but gave us a slice of cheesecake with a birthday candle. I went there for a new Meetup group. At the start we were seated around 20 minutes late past our reservation. Then we were given a limited prix fix menu of entrees that were not worth $28.00 each. The wait staff was not very attentive and it took forever to get our food especially one of the people got a wedge salad after we got our paltry entrees. Return visit after several years and few things has changed. One noteable thing is the bread you get when you sit down. Its not the sour dough type I remembered but smaller, softer type. Party of four and we got one small round loaf to share with 4 of us. Definitely the size slightly larger than the burger buns. This was the very first disappointment. Others to the party ordered different kinds of steak and I ended up ordering a medium well burger. By the way, plenty of parking and the place is big and spacious so plenty of room for the large family gathering. When I got my burger, it appeared to be burned up lot from grease flare. I flipped over and that piece of meat looked like a charcoal. Super dark. Why serve something that is inedible? Why didn't the kitchen manager even let this pass thru her sharp eyes? Probably figure there is a slight chance someone will actually complain about it. By the way, did you know that there are several studies regarding burnt meat and the cancer are related? I will let you do the research and find about it yourself. After 10 minutes passed or maybe longer since others already finished their T-bone and such, kitchen manager brought out my replacement burger and asked to make sure it was ok. Yes. It was done to medium well as I originally requested and did not appear to be charcoal black. At the end, did I get the apology from the manager? I do not think so since I do not remember. Did I ask for comp or discount? No I did not. Did they offer one? No. None of those but I m not the complainer knowing the staff works hard and probably getting under paid. Disappointed tonight. Everything felt upcharged. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, waiter asked for 6 or 10. Well I assumed it was a small up charge for the 10- it was double the money. I would've liked a heads up. It was my sisters birthday- we asked- what do we get for her birthday (joking)- waiter listed the three desserts- so we ordered. Charged. I recently started the carnivore diet due to some extra pounds gained during Thanksgiving. I needed a steak but wanted something that wasn't going to break the budget. Saltgrass in Parker answered that call. Our server Ray was fantastic. He truly cared about our experience and made great recommendations. We accidentally left a gift card with a $50 balance on it in April. When we arrived home, there was a voicemail from Tracy at Saltgrass that they would hold on to the card until our next visit. We didn't go back until last night, and thankfully Tracy saw us and gave us the card back, which I had completely forgotten about. They do make a good effort to talk to the customers and I was so impressed that Tracy remembered our gift card was in the office. We had a table for two with a fun waiter named Kevin. He forgot the bread and butter but he was able to accommodate my other dietary needs. The food was very good. We had a steak dinner, Crab cake appetizer and drinks from the bar. The time we spent was a high volume dinner hour.
