Went to their grand opening a few weeks ago. As others have said it's a "Chipotle" style restaurant but they serve Indian food. They actually did take over the spot of an old Chipotle that closed a few months ago so if they design looks similar it's because it used to be a Chipotle. You go down the line and choose how you want your entree, bowl, salad, burrito or tacos. Then choose your fillings and toppings. The portions were very generous and you can put everything you want on your entree. Prices depend on which protein you choose and range from $9-$11. We tried their chicken tikka, paneer and lamb. The chicken tikka was my favorite and had good flavors. Since you do just go down the line, food isn't that hot but still tasted fresh. I got the rice bowl with half chicken tikka, half paneer tikka, pulao rice, potato onion curry, cilantro chutney, kachumbar salsa, lettuce, yogurt, and corn! Great customer service and great food!! I had my doubts on this place - I thought it'd be Chipotle with a little Indian flare. I thought that they'd mild down the spices to appeal to the masses. However, the food was fantastic and the curries would all hold up well as its own dish. I ordered 6 Tacos and got the opportunity to try out all the curries they had to offer. I knocked through all 6 in under 10 minutes. My favorite was definitely the Shrimp Curry. The fennel in it definitely came through and I feel like there was a slight hint of coconut as well, but maybe my taste buds are playing tricks. The tamarind offered a nice acidity to it. My next favorite was the Lamb Curry. It was extremely tender and I could still taste the gaminess which I enjoy. A lot of other restaurants overcook the lamb. The Paneer and Chicken Tikka were delicious as well. Compared to the Tikka Masala at other restaurants, this one was on the sweeter more mild side (which isn't a complaint, it's a different interpretation). The chicken was tender and had a nice char on it. The texture of the paneer was very delightful I loooove Saag, but the one here was extremely salty. I had to take some of the Saag out because of that. I'm pretty sure it's a one time thing, but I recommend the staff taste test every hour or so in case the curry reduces through the day. The cilantro and tamarind chutneys didn't disappoint either. They both added a nice fresh and lightness to the tacos. If I got a bowl, I'd have the chutneys on the side so that it doesn't overpower the curries. I'll definitely be back!! I wanna try a bowl next time. Super excited!! read more

We ordered our food online. Our food was ready by the time we arrived. Everything looked very clean. The place reminded me of Chipotle in the way that it was arranged and their menu model. They have burritos, rice bowls, tacos, and salads that you can customize. We ordered the chicken curry rice bowl with saag and chicken tikka burrito. The serving size for the bowl was quite generous. I found this place through their Instagram ads and was intrigued. Indian food but fast food assembly line style? Count me in! It's located in a small plaza with a few other restaurants behind Matrix Casino. I wouldn't have stumbled upon it if I didn't know about it before hand. We visited on Monday around 6PM and was helped right away. They have stickers on the floor for social distancing and 2 menus to read from in line. After reading the menu we were still kinda confused on the options and the worker was so nice and helpful. He explained the different options and was very patient. We both got Chicken Tikka bowls with white rice and potatoes and all the mild toppings. It was hella good. Strong flavors that goes so well together. You can build your own bowls, burritos, and tacos similar to Chipotle but everything has an Indian twist like using naan for tortillas! They also have exceptional customer service and the decor is really cute :) Paneer tikka burrito: huge size, could last 2 meals. The paneer is chopped up kind of small compared to how it is in the tacos which I didn't like as much since it ended up getting lost, but good taste overall! Tacos: got one of each shrimp, lamb, and paneer tacos to try out the different proteins! The tacos were stuffed and loved that they used puris as the taco shell. Personally liked the lamb the most! Chicken tikka bowl- loved that you can get a lot of different topping and the bowl itself can be shared easily by 2 or even 3 people! Chicken was flavorful and I got extra masala sauce as well. Drinks: love that they sell classic Indian drinks to tie the entire experience together!! The maaza drinks are sweet but pair well with the spicy food! Overall enjoyed the experience!! One thing I would change is that even though there is an option to get half and half of all the toppings it made the bowl I got too busy with strong flavors so next time i probably would get less strong base flavors so the protein shines through more. I think I might have added too much toppings the 2nd time, so I would probably tone it down the next time (like my first visit). *note* My boyfriend got the lamb during our first visit and there wasn't much lamb pieces... This place is so good I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try out their curries and options. Big thanks to the crew at Sam and Curry for their hospitality. When I first heard about this place, I was a bit skeptical. It's Chipotle style where you can build your own burrito, taco, or bowl. And well, as much as I like them, chipotle isn't known for their authenticity so I didn't know what to expect from a place so similar. I'm so glad that this didn't end up being a bland gimmick! Everything I tried was really flavorful and yummy. I am kind of picky with my lamb curry because I have a favorite far away spot for it, but I think their lamb curry is what made me decide that Sam and Curry is a legit spot. It was good and flavorful and soft. My other tied for favorite was the paneer. At first they looked like sweet potato fries to me because instead of being square at other places, they were orange and long. I didn't realize until I tried the burrito that the shape actually works out better that way to get some in every bite. I'm usually a meat person but omg I think I want to just eat a bunch of their paneer one day. It's soooo flavorful. Somehow I feel like it's almost more flavorful without being overpowering. The chicken tikka masala was also good. They separate out the sauce in case people don't like the sauce. I'm used to practically drinking the curry when I usually get chicken tikka masala usually so while this wasn't like that, the chicken is tender and a solid choice but I think I'd prefer the others. The shrimp was good too but I personally don't prefer shrimp in curry. I also had the vegetarian options and they're good too, I just prefer something more meaty. The saag has more bite to it than other places I've tried, ie. I can see the greens vs being blended all the way. They've also got tons of cool drink choices, both bottled and fountain. For instance, my wife's dish included just a single piece of meat, which turned out to be quite chewy and not up to expectations. It seemed our experience might have been a matter of bad luck, as we observed the table next to us, also first-time customers, receiving free samples from a different server, which added a touch of disappointment to our overall experience. Also, we all found the portion sizes notably disappointing. The main issue was the lack of meat in the dishes; they were mainly sauce with very little substance. Additionally, the bowls were only half-filled. This was particularly evident as the meal didn't prove filling enough for both the children and adults. The choices were varied and interesting. Great concept, clean and modern Baliwood music and decor. My family and I got a mixture of burritos and rice bowls. Most reported good to excellent flavor. The portions were huge. Chicken Tikki was well liked. Chana was well prepared with nice flavor too. I didn't love the way everything was mixed, one on top of the other, in the bowl. It meant that the flavors of the individual items was a bit lost which I think is a shame. The only thing I didn't like the flavor of was the saag which tasted burnt or something. I couldn't eat it. I'm hoping it was just today that the flavor was off because normally saag is my favorite. We may come back and try it again. read more

I wish they put more rice in because it felt like it was mostly curry. I also wish they added more meat. I enjoyed all the toppings. The flavors were good and it was good spice level (I got medium).
